Rate very good for location. Namdaemun market is on the other side of the street. About 300m to Myeongdong area, about 1km to Seoul Tower, 15 walking minutes to Hoehyeon subway station. Recommend to solo traveler. Small room but ehhh... for the price.

Stayed in this place for 3 days, in a double room which costs us 160000 won in total. Positive Feedback: 1) Great location and they provide brochures which provide information about tours around the city. Negative Feedback: 1) Facilities was not as advertised. 24 Hour Business Centre was a computer which could not be turned on. Breakfast was a single...

Room terrible small, door cannot be opened fully, could not open my luggage properly in the room. Room was stuffy, and had a unique odor, worst of all there was no air con in the room, only a portable fan. The staff was unfriendly and rude, complete with a poor attitude. The pictures are inaccurate and the rooms look nothing...

Difficult to find the location. Free breakfast was not as advertised, it was one loaf of bread and jam for the guests of the whole building instead of what was shown. I'll give the owner credit for the owner trying to recreate the biblical story on which Jesus had to share a loaf of bread with all his disciples. Friend...

They only have basic amenities such as 1. A bed completed with 1 flat pillow and 1 dirty comforter. 2. 1 mini fridge 3. Shower facilities without soap or any other toiletries 4. A television from 1990s The room was really small and i have hardly any space in the room to move. Showering is a chore because of water...

Positive feedback: price (cheapest I can find on the dates I travelled), location (near some tourist spots/subway and airport bus just a few meters away), fast wifi, availability of hot/cold water, staff speaks a little English Negative feedback - dirty room (dust everywhere/room had a musty smell), bathroom had...

Indeed the rooms are tiny. But who cares when you just put one foot on the street and you find everything nearby. If you want to save money in accommodation and being in a centric place. This is the place. And it includes a decent breakfast. The bathrooms are also small but it's only for a quick shower. The people...

The room is just enough to fit Asian size only. The bathroom is too small for someone to comfortably take a good bath. We had a hard time sleeping on the second night because you can hear the voices of those people drinking just outside the guesthouse but aside from that, the street is quite peaceful. They don't clean the...

The location is awesome. A few minutes to the Bank of Korea, Sungnyemun Gate, Namdaemun Market. Quite close to two metro stops, Hoehyeon and City Hall (I recommend you to use City Hall station Exit 7). Myeongdong and Seoul Station are also very close. Some people had problems in finding the location of the guesthouse in their first time but...

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

“HAahahahaha. All the rooms are almost identical. All as peaceful as a tomb (not in a negative way!) Just take rooms that are away from the main entrance. I assume that would be the busiest zone in the inn.”
