I arrived on an early night and although the room was not ready, I was provided access to the humongous spa to freshen up. The lobby was impressive which added to my expectation of a large room, though I was disappointed when I finally got the room. It was clean and functional but much smaller than other Grand Hyatts that...

If you're looking for a relaxing break, excellent service and a little bit of a treat - this is the place to go. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable, the staff friendly - nothing too much trouble. Great facilities and calm ambience. Had a lovely stay.

This hotel is typical Grand Hyatt but it is starting to show its age. Good location with great views from the terrace. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Plenty of dining options available and the bar downstairs had a great band playing the nights we were there making for a fun finish to the day.

My partner and i didn't fell like we were welcomed here. I don't want to say too much because we already made our voice heard with management, but i think others might want to know that the staff might give you funny looks and thats rich since we paid more then 300usd a night.

I had two stays in April 2015 at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, both for business. The hotel is large, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, have long shelf style desks that allow business travelers to truly spread out. The bathrooms are very nice. The view of Nansam mountain was very nice, and motivated...

What can I say? The lobby area was nice, but I didn't like much else. In the guest rooms the lighting was frustratingly poor, the room layout terrible, the room itself was out of balance (e.g., drawers wouldn't stay closed), bathroom vanity was at a strangely low height, fixtures in bathroom are dated, they couldn't seem to spare bathroom towels...

Stayed here for one night with the family over Mother's Day weekend. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly. Bathrooms were on the small...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
