Rooms small and tired, and expensive. Breakfast astronomically expensive. Coffee very average. Restaurant staff didn't make me want to pay $50 for a few dumplings at breakfast. Great location and a once great hotel - but looking now like a pretty exhausted value proposition. And you pay for bottles of water in the gym?!!

I highly recommend this hotel for any occasion. The staff and the hotel are awesome and will accommodate to your every need. JJ Mahoneys bar is awesome although the drinks can be a little pricey. On the weekends the club is packed. Al in all a great experience and stay!!

I found the hotel extremely accomodating to all my needs and was satisfactory. My views from my room were breathtaking and the staff was always well informed and extremely helpful. I never felt like I had to worry about something going wrong.

The location is really good. You will find nice and interesting neighbourhoods in walking distance. The service level is very high, the staff is friendly and competent and the food is excellent. Rooms are well equipped and meeting facilities are fine as well.

This hotel lobby is so fabulous, it makes you anticipated and wonder how great your room may be. I have to admit the view from the room is very nice, you see the N-tower. The first thing that hits you is the SMALL size of the room, bare minimum space to walk around. There maybe a huge puddle after you...

This was a nice experience overall. Staff was welcoming but not overdoing it as they sometimes do in these “grand” hotels. You really feel something special with the view over the whole city when entering the lobby. However, the room, though still enjoying the views, doesn’t quite live up to the lobby standards. The design feels outdated, the bathroom too...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
