The location is excellent. Within 5 minutes of subway station, 7 11 across the road, coffee tea and bean leaf around the back of apartments. We loved the area that the Orakai was in. Many restaurants and cute litte Korean stores within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and even though we didn't cook , it was great to have full size fridge, microwave etc The desk staff were friendly, efficient and obliging; although we required minimal from them during our stay. We did however receive a later checkout when we asked due to our flight times so this was much appreciated as we were not charged for it. House keeping were spot on and bathroom supplies were always restocked etc We did pay for breakfast for the 2 weeks we stayed and used it perhaps half of the mornings of our stay as like other reviews have stated, it is satisfactory but we didnt want scrambled eggs every morning. There was toast and cereal available with yoghurt as well as apples and bananas. If you were only staying for a few days its worth including for convenience. We used the pool twice but it was closed on many occasions due to Orakai not being able to staff a lifeguard ( i am assuming from what was written) If we return to Seoul next year ( our daughter is working there) I would rebook the Orakai for its convenience and home away from home comfort

We stayed here for eight nights for a family trip. The suite was very clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff is excellent. We stayed in a two-bedroom: the master bedroom had a king bed and the other was a double. Having a washer/dryer, a kitchen, and a little office nook made our stay convenient.
Location is awesome. We loved being in walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, street food, and subway stations. We ended up getting the breakfast option for the convenience but there are grocery stores and lots of bakeries nearby. The fitness center is well-equipped and clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Chose this accommodation because we wanted a place that is very convenient and accessible to the sites within Seoul . We also wanted a place where we would come back in the late afternoons to chill out and resting before moving on to the next day’s full activities of visiting sites within Seoul as well as day trips to the amusement parks, ski resorts, hiking trips , attractions outside Seoul . The place also allowed all of us to have sufficient toilets/bathrooms to bathe with nice strong hot showers, excellent heating, a quiet neighborhood and decent services in the accommodation . All of this insadong suites provided . We did not stay there for the pool, gym or breakfast as it was winter and way too cold to use the facilities even though they are indoors and heated .

If you are the reviewers who bellyache about the accommodation being outdated , not having great facilities and how great the Marriotts, western run hotels, 5 star hotels are where the staff speak English only you can understand, perhaps you should be willing to spent twice the amount to get those privileges and maybe you will stop complaining . The accommodation is upfront about it being a 4 star accommodation and hence charge the price that is commensurate with the services . If you are hoping for 5 star services with the space, accessibility and convenience of this place , obviously you did not do your homework .

To us, it was a great place to enjoy the hospitality of the Korean people, the conveniences and a good cultural immersion program . If I travel there with my family , I will definitely stay here again .

I am ataying in a suite.
The room is on average but good enough to stay there.
The service is very limited.
They promise to have a continental brekfast where the food variety is very limited.
Everyday the same food bread, scrumbled eggs, 1 dish which changes every day. Peanut butter, 1 jam, 1 green salad, cornflakes, apples and banana which are not fresh. 1 juice no other choices.
The room service is limited to if you call the frontdesk your call might be accepted or somebody will drop the call.
The aircon is not working also if promised the turn ot on since it is centralized no remote in your room the 🌡 goes up although all windows are closed.
Just empty promises with no changes or benefits for the customers.

I would not recommend anybody to visit this hotel if you want a very limited service you might go for it

This is the best breakfast which they offer

If you want eggs cooked differently you need to pay 15000 kwon

Sunny side up, boiled eggs etc.

We visited from England in April 2023. We stayed in a 3 bed suite. The apartment was large and clean. Not very personal and a few bumps and scrapes but suited our needs. Housekeeping came and did basic cleaning each day - towels changed, swept and changed bins. I really appreciated that as it was less to think about. Beds comfy but only 1 pillow each so had to ask for more - supplied straight away.

I think the hotel is being renovated so lots of the facilities were shut.

Excellent location right in the middle of insadong and the palaces. Couldn’t get better.

Brilliant pool (if a little cold) and lifeguards always on duty.

The room size and facilities are great!
We stayed with our family in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. The washer/dryer, large refrigerator, and microwave were very convenient.
For some reason, there is no cleaning on weekends. When I called the front desk, they came to collect the garbage right away.
It was fun to walk around Insadong and Ikseondong, and there were many local restaurants around, so it was fun to decide where to go every day. There is a cafe and a yakiniku restaurant on the first floor, both of which are expensive but delicious.
Free Wi-Fi.
We did not pay for breakfast. For breakfast, we ate fruit from the supermarket and kimbap nearby.
The water in the pool on the second floor was cold, but the kids were delighted. It is 150 cm deep, so please bring a swim ring if necessary. Unlimited use of towels.
The gym has a wide range of machines, so if you want to use it, please bring your own shoes.
It is in a fun area and felt close to the city. I would like to stay here again.

Orakai Suites are the best place to stay in town. Clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, indoor pool, gym, all the amenities necessary. The hotel is conveniently located steps away from the bustling Insa-dong street, but also only a few short minutes to the new hip area of Ikson-dong. It is also close to three subway lines, and walking distance (albeit a little longer) from Kwanghwamun. I can't recommend this place enough!

Large, clean spacious apartment. We are staying in a two bedroom with our daughter. The apartment has all you need to enjoy your stay. The gym is very well equipped, and the pool, whilst a little cold is a good place for a swim. The apartments are in a great location, two subway stops close by, not far from attractions and loads of places to eat. We were very grateful for an early checkin after a long trip to Seoul, and the receptionist who checked us in was very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

This place was in a great location, was spacious and reasonably priced. Additionally, it had a really nice gym which we had access to. We were traveling with our two kids (14 and 13) and each child had their own bedroom. Additionally, the place had a refrigerator which allowed us to buy plenty of snacks and drinks.

The place was not fancy, but it was certainly clean and adequately equipped. The service was terrific, but not all that friendly. For example, they had signs posted indicating they would not assist with taxis, airport transportation and you couldn't have drinks in the lobby. But if you don't need any assistance from the hotel, this is a terrific option.

This is my one of the most terrifying experiences ever , i never ever saw a bad hotel as this hotel , i swear to god , am writing while am setting in dark with no electricity and no air conditioning at all , since we arrived we got to know that there will be no AC for the 5 days starting from the day we arrived, we had no choice to change the hotel as we booked this hotel in advance to avoid the high rates as we were on budget , imagine staying in a hotel which you payed for it and no AC provided, we had to open the windows while sleeping and still it was soo hot , and a broken toilet and a dusty rooms with died bugs , after we fought for it , they changed the room for us , an guess whaaaat !!!!! We woke up finding a notice under the door saying that there will be no electricity for the next two days starting from 11 PM to 3 AM , we had to come back to the hotel as nothing here is open after 10 specially for as us muslims , only bars , while coming back i got stuck in the elevator which been guided by the maintenance guy to use rather than the main , i got stuck in the elevator and i was terrified , once i got out i used the stairs while carrying a dozen of water of course because they dont provide it and had to go all the way to 20th floor , on floor 16th i saw the engineering guys and they were laughing and saying that oh you are having water and they asked me to use the same eleven which i got stuck in , they didn’t even tried to help even though that they saw me hardly breathing as am an asthmatic, please don’t waste you money here , they don’t care about any service or customer experience, trust my words there is nothing positive about this place !!!!!

I’m in the same position and the hotel is not giving me a refund. Would have been good publicity for them if they had but obviously it’s money that counts for them, not people’s health.
