Location is awesome. We loved being in walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, street food, and subway stations. We ended up getting the breakfast option for the convenience but there are grocery stores and lots of bakeries nearby. The fitness center is well-equipped and clean. We will definitely stay here again!
If you are the reviewers who bellyache about the accommodation being outdated , not having great facilities and how great the Marriotts, western run hotels, 5 star hotels are where the staff speak English only you can understand, perhaps you should be willing to spent twice the amount to get those privileges and maybe you will stop complaining . The accommodation is upfront about it being a 4 star accommodation and hence charge the price that is commensurate with the services . If you are hoping for 5 star services with the space, accessibility and convenience of this place , obviously you did not do your homework .
To us, it was a great place to enjoy the hospitality of the Korean people, the conveniences and a good cultural immersion program . If I travel there with my family , I will definitely stay here again .
The room is on average but good enough to stay there.
The service is very limited.
They promise to have a continental brekfast where the food variety is very limited.
Everyday the same food bread, scrumbled eggs, 1 dish which changes every day. Peanut butter, 1 jam, 1 green salad, cornflakes, apples and banana which are not fresh. 1 juice no other choices.
The room service is limited to if you call the frontdesk your call might be accepted or somebody will drop the call.
The aircon is not working also if promised the turn ot on since it is centralized no remote in your room the 🌡 goes up although all windows are closed.
Just empty promises with no changes or benefits for the customers.
I would not recommend anybody to visit this hotel if you want a very limited service you might go for it
This is the best breakfast which they offer
If you want eggs cooked differently you need to pay 15000 kwon
Sunny side up, boiled eggs etc.
I think the hotel is being renovated so lots of the facilities were shut.
Excellent location right in the middle of insadong and the palaces. Couldn’t get better.
Brilliant pool (if a little cold) and lifeguards always on duty.
We stayed with our family in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. The washer/dryer, large refrigerator, and microwave were very convenient.
For some reason, there is no cleaning on weekends. When I called the front desk, they came to collect the garbage right away.
It was fun to walk around Insadong and Ikseondong, and there were many local restaurants around, so it was fun to decide where to go every day. There is a cafe and a yakiniku restaurant on the first floor, both of which are expensive but delicious.
Free Wi-Fi.
We did not pay for breakfast. For breakfast, we ate fruit from the supermarket and kimbap nearby.
The water in the pool on the second floor was cold, but the kids were delighted. It is 150 cm deep, so please bring a swim ring if necessary. Unlimited use of towels.
The gym has a wide range of machines, so if you want to use it, please bring your own shoes.
It is in a fun area and felt close to the city. I would like to stay here again.
The place was not fancy, but it was certainly clean and adequately equipped. The service was terrific, but not all that friendly. For example, they had signs posted indicating they would not assist with taxis, airport transportation and you couldn't have drinks in the lobby. But if you don't need any assistance from the hotel, this is a terrific option.
This is my one of the most terrifying experiences ever , i never ever saw a bad hotel as this hotel , i swear to god , am writing while am setting in dark with no electricity and no air conditioning at all , since we arrived we got to know that there will be no AC for the 5 days starting from the day we arrived, we had no choice to change the hotel as we booked this hotel in advance to avoid the high rates as we were on budget , imagine staying in a hotel which you payed for it and no AC provided, we had to open the windows while sleeping and still it was soo hot , and a broken toilet and a dusty rooms with died bugs , after we fought for it , they changed the room for us , an guess whaaaat !!!!! We woke up finding a notice under the door saying that there will be no electricity for the next two days starting from 11 PM to 3 AM , we had to come back to the hotel as nothing here is open after 10 specially for as us muslims , only bars , while coming back i got stuck in the elevator which been guided by the maintenance guy to use rather than the main , i got stuck in the elevator and i was terrified , once i got out i used the stairs while carrying a dozen of water of course because they dont provide it and had to go all the way to 20th floor , on floor 16th i saw the engineering guys and they were laughing and saying that oh you are having water and they asked me to use the same eleven which i got stuck in , they didn’t even tried to help even though that they saw me hardly breathing as am an asthmatic, please don’t waste you money here , they don’t care about any service or customer experience, trust my words there is nothing positive about this place !!!!!
