I made a reservation through a tour of R-Ten. I always stay here because of the spaciousness, safety and cleanliness of the rooms.
It seems that they are going to completely renovate, so I'm glad I was able to stay before they closed.

Hotel's Favourite
The location of the hotel is very central and there is a direct access to the Coex Mall along with the metro station. It is very convenience. Across the street is the beautiful Bongeunsa Temple, if you have time walk across the street and visit the ground of the this temple. There are a lot of good restaurants all within the walking distance to the hotel. Taxi is always readily available in front, taxi in Seoul is very affordable. We took a Taxi from hotel to the ICN airport for about $125K won. Just let the concierge know a day in advance you will need a taxi for your departure. You can also take the limo bus, it is around the corner of the hotel.
The buffet breakfast at this hotel has a wide varieties of spread, so make sure you book along with the room because there are not a lot of places in Seoul that open early for breakfast.
Everyone at the hotel will go above and beyond to help you if you have questions or concerns. The only thing was the hotel room needs an upgrade. It is a bit dated, housekeeper does a great job keeping it clean.

The hotel is just minutes away from one of two subway line station at the area, near a food street which has plenty to offer and has a huge underground shopping mall connected to it. If all these are not enough, there is the beautiful historical Bongeunsa temple just across the road. All these makes the hotel a perfect base for a family holiday.

He then offered to help safekeep the luggages at the lobby as we were still too early to check in.
The check in and out experience was superb. The front desk was efficient and everything ran like clockwork.
The housekeeping team also deserves special mention as their attention to details is unmatched by any of the other properties we had stayed before. We never had to call for any extra as there will always be sufficient bottled water, essential amenities and toiletries all topped up after daily housekeeping.
The room with its king and single bed setup is just perfect for us. The room is just the right size that everyone has enough personal space without feeling overcrowded. (Would wish there are more such rooms available in other Intercontinental properties instead of the rollaway bed arrangement, as it’s a horrible way to spend a vacation)
Would loved to return for another stay at the hotel when opportunity arise.

My stay here was decent. Some things were good, others were not.
Unfortunately, at check-in one of the front desk staff was very condescending and rude in his approach when I was inquiring about IHG membership points. Also, shortly after checking into the room, we noticed some mold on the shower—it seemed as though they don’t clean the parts that are not directly visible/exposed. That was a shock (please refer to photo for literal black mold on towel from touching the shower.)
The breakfast buffet was pleasant; the quality and selection of food was very good. However, the staff seem less than competent. Everyday was a long wait to get a table despite the restaurant being half empty. It was simply a logistical issue and lack of efficient coordination between the staff. Moreover, many of the waiters and the barista almost always got the orders wrong and exhibited an unpleasant attitude. English skills were also lacking.
Housekeeping seemed good at first but failed to refill the shampoo, body wash etc and despite still providing a tip after that, they removed our slippers from our room. When we called front desk regarding these issues they were never apologetic or even surprised.
Overall, the location of this hotel is great and while it is a very outdated property (think carpets and rooms from over two decades ago) staying here has its merits. The food is nice, some staff can be pleasant and the toiletries provided are of high quality. However, the staff who were unpleasant and inefficient put a damper on things. Additionally, as an aside, I would like to note that they have not properly maintained/made their fire escape plan maps. (If you see in the photo there is no clear indication of which room you are in despite the legend saying it should.)

I stayed here for 4 nights from in mid August 2023. Front desk was very polite, and so are most of the porters in the hotel. They speak Korean, English and some of them even speak Mandarin.
Overall, I am happy, the housekeeping is also very efficient. My room gets done usually within 1 hour after I leave the room with the Clean room sign turned on.
Location wise, it is connected to both Samseong and Bonguensa station. You can walk underground, and it is connected to Starfield Coex Mall (nearest), which then connects you to Parnas Mall or Hyundai Shopping centre, depending on which "exit". Plenty of shops for dining and shopping in Coex.
Downsides are that the pillows are somewhat too soft and lacking in support for me (personal), and the room, whilst clean, are relatively dated by today's standards.
Breakfast in hotel - it was quite a decent spread, but can be crowded from 8.45 am onwards. Go at 8 am to skip the crowd.
Gym wise, can also be crowded because locals get to pay a subscription to access it. There are personal trainers in there too!

The room was comfortable and nice, and the reception was friendly and warm. It was a hot summer day sightseeing, but there was a shopping center directly connected to it so we were able to enjoy shopping and eating at our leisure. It is located right next to Bongeunsa Temple on Subway Line 9, so it was very convenient for access from the airport and for sightseeing.
The room was equipped with a coffee maker and the bathroom had L'Occitane amenities from the south of France. The bed was also very comfortable. I would like to use this hotel again when I visit Seoul. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location above the big shopping mall that you can dine and shop until late. There are also lots of restaurants in the neighboring precinct so practically you can try out different restaurant every day in a month. The metro train is nearby; there is an underground walkway to the station so you don't get your hair wet even during raining. BTW the hotel service is also very good and the staff helpful! My family enjoyed a very nice stay.

Room was well appointed with good quality amentities and the shower water pressure had to be experienced to be believed. All of the staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

可以使用這家酒店的洲際俱樂部真是一種幸福。忠誠有回報，酒店提供給年度行政酒廊使用權者全套的俱樂部禮遇。俱樂部的工作人員非常細心，下午茶是套餐組，歡樂時光也絕對夠當晚餐吃。
早餐可以到樓下餐廳用餐，也可以在俱樂部享用。大使會員如用樓下早餐，可以多選一份單點主餐，但他們第一天沒有跟我提到這件事，之後有時也要主動提才有。不論是樓下餐廳的早餐或者俱樂部的早餐與歡樂時光，煙燻鮭魚數量之多超乎想像。
客房清潔人員總是遺漏浴室角落的清潔，提醒了也沒用，後來我必須請人上來只給他們看才獲解決。客房清潔人員不諳英語，溝通困難。
餐廳早餐的服務人員也良莠不齊，有時當我到樓下用早餐時，他們會識別我的會籍並給我特別待遇，包含會員留座與專屬菜單，其他時候則什麼都沒有，看來他們不是隨時留意進餐廳的房客會籍級別。

It was bliss having Club InterContinental access at this hotel. Loyalty pays off, and the hotel gives full Club benefits to Annual Lounge Membership holders. The club staff could not have been more attentive. The afternoon tea offer is a full set, and the happy hour here is more than enough for dinner.
I had the option to go to a full breakfast buffet or take advantage of the breakfast at the Club each morning. Ambassador members can select a single à la carte item at the breakfast downstairs, even though they did not mention it on my first day, and I sometimes had to ask for it. The copious amount of smoked salmon, both at the Club during breakfast and happy hour as well as at the breakfast downstairs, was beyond imagination.
On the downside, the housekeeping kept missing certain corners in my bathroom, even after I repeatedly reminded them. I eventually had to ask someone to come upstairs to point the problem out to them. It was also difficult to communicate as the housekeeping staff did not speak English.
The breakfast service at the restaurant downstairs was also hit or miss. When I go to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast, sometimes they recognize my élite membership and treat me well, such as giving me a preferred seat and a special menu. Other times, I was not recognized at all. Maybe they do not always pay attention when a guest enters the breakfast buffet.
Lastly, I tied the Asian dinner restaurant once at the hotel, and it is quite classy. The hotel is well-located and has a temple right across.
早餐可以到樓下餐廳用餐，也可以在俱樂部享用。大使會員如用樓下早餐，可以多選一份單點主餐，但他們第一天沒有跟我提到這件事，之後有時也要主動提才有。不論是樓下餐廳的早餐或者俱樂部的早餐與歡樂時光，煙燻鮭魚數量之多超乎想像。
客房清潔人員總是遺漏浴室角落的清潔，提醒了也沒用，後來我必須請人上來只給他們看才獲解決。客房清潔人員不諳英語，溝通困難。
餐廳早餐的服務人員也良莠不齊，有時當我到樓下用早餐時，他們會識別我的會籍並給我特別待遇，包含會員留座與專屬菜單，其他時候則什麼都沒有，看來他們不是隨時留意進餐廳的房客會籍級別。
最後，這裡的亞洲餐廳的晚餐也很講究，且酒店位置很好，對面就是奉恩寺。
It was bliss having Club InterContinental access at this hotel. Loyalty pays off, and the hotel gives full Club benefits to Annual Lounge Membership holders. The club staff could not have been more attentive. The afternoon tea offer is a full set, and the happy hour here is more than enough for dinner.
I had the option to go to a full breakfast buffet or take advantage of the breakfast at the Club each morning. Ambassador members can select a single à la carte item at the breakfast downstairs, even though they did not mention it on my first day, and I sometimes had to ask for it. The copious amount of smoked salmon, both at the Club during breakfast and happy hour as well as at the breakfast downstairs, was beyond imagination.
On the downside, the housekeeping kept missing certain corners in my bathroom, even after I repeatedly reminded them. I eventually had to ask someone to come upstairs to point the problem out to them. It was also difficult to communicate as the housekeeping staff did not speak English.
The breakfast service at the restaurant downstairs was also hit or miss. When I go to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast, sometimes they recognize my élite membership and treat me well, such as giving me a preferred seat and a special menu. Other times, I was not recognized at all. Maybe they do not always pay attention when a guest enters the breakfast buffet.
Lastly, I tied the Asian dinner restaurant once at the hotel, and it is quite classy. The hotel is well-located and has a temple right across.

If your room is ready, they might let you check-in early. I checked around 10 am my last time there without any issues.

Buy ticket inside the airport (just outside arrival hall)
