My husband and I had a remarkable time staying at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul. The ambience of the lobby is warm and inviting. There is a nice scent once you arrive into the lobby- this scent lingers not only in the lobby but throughout the room floors. The scent magically disappears once you are in your room! There are occasional crowds in the lobby but it is always well controlled. Quite often, I see a bald man's presence in the lobby (I think he might be the general manager). It helps knowing that there are people in charge who are present to attend to guests' requests.
The room is extremely comfortable - it is spacious, clean and well maintained. It is new as compared to over similar rating hotels whereby they are rather worn out. It screams luxury without the bling. Marble tiles, luxurious textiles and Le Labo amenities. However, it takes a while to get used to the design and layout of the bathroom sink.
We had a marvellous meal at their rooftop resturant - Mariposa. We were seated outdoors but the staff made sure we were kept warm and were attentive to our needs throughout the dinner. The meal was exceptional and there were dishes that were refreshing and special i.e the squid carbonara whereby the pasta was made from squid.
After several days here in Seoul, we were glad to have made the choice to stay at Fairmont Yeouido even though it is slightly away from the main areas such as Itawon and Hongdae. There is a sense of space here and it made us feel refreshed whenever we came back after navigating the crowded streets in Itawon. The hotel is easy to access via buses and trains. There is a bus stop across the street and also a direct bus stop to the airport. Very convenient!
Overall, we will come back to Fairmont Ambassador whenever we are in Seoul.

I stayed many times in the past at Conrad Seoul which is one of the best city Conrads I have stayed anywhere in the world. Fairmont opened right next door a couple of years ago and this was my first stay in Seoul since covid so I wanted to try Fairmont to compare. I was surprised to find out that Fairmont can match up very well with the high standards of Conrad and I can recommend this Fairmont.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a manager who came by to chat, and the GM later joined him so it started the stay on the right foot to be welcomed by management. We received an upgrade to a suite as Accor Diamond guests which was very appreciated. As much as I like the suites at Conrad (where we also get generous upgrades as Hilton Diamond), but the suite at Fairmont beats the one at Conrad in some ways due to having a more spacious living room, while Conrad wins for the bathroom which is a bit better. Also Fairmont is a newer construction so the state of the room at Fairmont is superior, on the other hand the suites at Conrad are corner rooms so they have windows on two sides which is a strong point which Fairmont does not have. Bottom line, each have their pros and cons but nonetheless both are great suites.
For breakfast Fairmont compares favorably to Conrad which itself has a very nice buffet as well. At Fairmont I was very impressed that they had lobster claws one morning, teriyaki salmon on another day, various kinds of shrimps every day, and Peking duck. Both Conrad and Fairmont's breakfast leave Park Hyatt Seoul's breakfast in the dust, by far.
The only small blemish in terms of service at Fairmont was the difficulty in having cash. For some reason none of our debit cards were working in Seoul's ATMs (we tried many) and we just needed a tiny bit of cash (less than 10 EUR) to take the subway, which does not accept credit cards. Normally luxury hotels can offer a cash advance as a service at charge it to the room, and I don't mind paying them a high commission because it removes a hassle, but it seemed like pulling teeth at Fairmont and they only did it reluctantly as a one-time exception and favor, so the result was ok but the road to get there was a bit tortuous. It's not like if we had been asking for several hundreds of dollars as cash advance which can raise eyebrows.
Overall I am happy there is now a second excellent choice of hotels in Yeouido and because it's very easy go to from Fairmont to Conrad via the underground passage I can easily foresee splitting future stays in Seoul between the two hotels to enjoy their different strengths. And for people who tend to be more loyal to Accor than Hilton, then staying at Fairmont is a no brainer.

I just left Fairmont Ambassador Seoul after my first stay there - and what a great experience it was. The hotel is modern, clean, elegant and efficient. Staff are very helpful and attentive (minus one episode, see at the end).
I arrived in Seoul early morning after an over-night flight, and due to their amazing reservations team, I was able to check in upon arrival - much appreciated. I had used a suite night upgrade voucher (a benefit in the Accor ALL program) and stayed in a suite on the 28th floor with a spectacular view of the city.
The room was large and comfortable - and had everything I could think of in terms of amenities and comfort. The designer must have had a thing for sliding doors, though, and as a result of that, the bathroom/wardrobe solution sometimes felt a little like a labyrinth 😅.
I very much appreciate the quality of Fairmont’s bathroom products (Le Labo Rose 31), and that they come in more sustainable fashion than before. Apart from the room feeling a bit too hot, I think they are doing great work on sustainability, which I very much appreciate.
I had access to their Fairmont Gold Club on the 3rd floor, and service there was truly outstanding. A particular thank you to the team on my arrival day, who lent me a pair of pliers to get the grip needed to open a suitcase that got damaged during transport. I both enjoyed the afternoon tea (beautifully presented, although a little minimalistic) their evening canapees and Saturday breakfast in their lounge, and it is a very modern and comfortable spot in the hotel.
They have a truly amazing gym as well - lots of new and modern equipment on the basement level. I unfortunately did not have time to check out their pool and spa area this time (one needs to pre-book a slot in the pool for weekends), and in my opinion, the gym closes a bit too early (2100).
Also the lobby bar gets full score in terms of service - and the Christmas pastry they have on display looks simply amazing.
One and a half disappointment: In my opinion, the breakfast in the Fairmont Club was less spectacular than advertised. There was no menu or information about a la carte options (but they prepared an omelette when I asked), no salt and pepper on the tables and both the hot dishes I had from the buffet (scrambled eggs and baked salmon) were lukewarm (the omelette came very hot and fresh). And while the welcome service upon arrival was exceptionally good, upon departure, I didn’t get help with my luggage, although I clearly had my hands more than full.
But all in all, an excellent stay, and I hope to come back for a longer visit soon.

This was my second stay at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, and wow, what a difference! This time, I upgraded myself to the 1-Bedroom Signature Suite, and let me tell you—it’s a game-changer. At 82 sqm, it’s very generous with space. The suite has everything: a dining area, a separate living room, a powder room, and views of the Han River and Yeouido from both the living room and the bedroom.
The bathroom? A major upgrade from the standard room. With a separate shower and WC, plus a bathtub, it’s designed for comfort. My only wish? Double sinks. But honestly, the suite’s stunning design more than makes up for it. And the wardrobe? Let’s just say Marie Kondo would approve of the space.
Suite guests also get access to the Gold Lounge on the third floor, which absolutely spoils you. Afternoon tea is light, but evening cocktails? They go all out with warm dishes, cold cuts, and desserts. Breakfast is a feast at the level 2 restaurant—free-flow abalones with kimchi ramen? Yes, please. Also, don’t miss the Peking duck in their restaurant.
Spa access is another suite perk I love. The pool, though? A bit of a letdown—too small for proper laps (less than 25m), but hey, you can’t have it all.
Special shoutout to Harry at the front desk and Jeff from the F&B team (restaurant and Gold Lounge). These guys remembered me after one intro and were always on point. It’s such a joy to be greeted by familiar faces after a long day out.
Finally, for shoppers, the location is unbeatable. Hyundai Seoul is right next door, packed with international and local brands. (Yes, it’s that mall from Queen of Tears). Just note: Yeouido station is about a 10-minute walk away.
All in all, this stay hit all the right notes—spacious suite, amazing service, and prime location. Looking forward to round three!

I heard from an acquaintance that a hotel near my house was having a special 3rd anniversary event, so I visited with my family to celebrate my birthday. body?? I arrived on time for check-in due to high expectations for the hotel, but I was momentarily embarrassed when the staff told me that I might have to wait because room maintenance had not yet been completed, but they guided me back to a room where I could check in right away. And I was so grateful that they even upgraded my room as a service to celebrate my birthday. I was so grateful that they took care of the good view that my wife and child would enjoy.
As expected from a new hotel, all facilities were clean and well-organized, and I liked all the interior and props. (The existing hotels in Seoul are now old, so there were many times when I was not satisfied with the room conditions.)
I also liked that it was directly connected to The Hyundai. It was convenient to have direct access from the first floor without having to go outside for meals or shopping. Shopping and relaxation, I think this is a true staycation. I was impressed that the Signature Suite I stayed in had an oven and microwave, and I could feel the meticulous consideration for customers in the high-quality robes and slippers, as well as the Dyson hair dryer. I also liked the scent of the amenity Le Labo.
I was also satisfied with all the food at the Spectrum buffet. I especially enjoyed the Peking duck.
But one thing that was disappointing was the swimming pool. It was nice that it operated on a reservation system because it was small, but the shower and changing rooms were small, so it was inconvenient to have to return to the room to take a shower. The child felt cold while coming up after playing in the water.
The Fairmont Hotel was by far the best hotel I have experienced in Korea in recent years.
And I would like to thank the front desk staff, Vivian and Ellie, once again for helping me make happy memories with my beloved family on my birthday!!

The staff were very friendly and professional, the view was mind blowing, the location is perfect thanks to the convenient access to nearby transit options. The hotel also offers comfortable and spacious rooms with stunning views of the Han River, the spotless bathroom really won my heart, the comfort of the bed almost made me stay indoors all day. I feel uplifted by the sweet scent in the room hallway. The condition of the room was good. The number of hangers was good for storage, and the indoor slippers were more luxurious than those in other hotels. The umbrellas provided felt like they were considerate of customers. The number of towels in the bathroom was generous and there were no unnecessary amenities, which was nice. The toothbrush is also made of wood, not plastic, so it feels like they are considering the environment. The staff at the lounge and the 5th floor Spectrum are friendly and the food is delicious. I really like the fruit not only because of its variety, but also because of its sweetness. Every corner of the hotel was neat and clean, and there were no handprints in the elevator, so I could feel the staff's hard work.

The room was spacious and the bedding was clean and soft, so I was able to stay comfortably during my stay. I also liked that the bathroom was equipped with Le Labo amenities :) I went to the swimming pool at 8pm, when it was for adults only, and the water quality was well maintained. The rails are separated, so it's great for swimming practice! It would have been more comfortable if it were a little wider, but it wasn't that crowded when I was there, so it was okay. The water is quite cold in some places, but the Fairmont swimming pool was only lukewarm, so it was comfortable. I used Spectrum for breakfast, and the buffet had a variety of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Western foods and was consistently filled, so I got the impression that the Fairmont breakfast was good. The signature dish was Peking Duck, which was delicious. The additional bed I requested was prepared well in advance, and I was able to have a good time with my friends who stayed with me as I received friendly service from check-in to using room service and check-out. The Hyundai Seoul is right next door, so there are many good restaurants and it's convenient to use, and the sunset view of the Han River and building from the hotel room window is also pretty, so I want to visit again next time :)

I went to Fairmont Ambassador Seoul with my family. I think I've been to 20 hotels at home and abroad, but all the staff at Fairmont were the kindest.^^ We were especially moved by the Vivian staff who were always kind to us, and we left in a good mood💗 Fairmont is connected to The Hyundai within the building, so shopping is convenient, and the swimming pool has a nice atmosphere. As expected from a 3-year-old hotel, the room condition is good and the room size is spacious and comfortable compared to other hotels. I requested it in advance and used the kids' gowns, humidifier, and air purifier that were prepared. Thank you. ^^
