The hotel staff are really friendly. I felt like I was well taken care of from check-in to check-out. The bedding was soft and the blanket was sturdy so it was comfortable. It was a little dry, but most hotels are dry so it didn't bother me too much. The fitness center was well decorated and I felt good using it. The sauna is simple, so it would be a shame to pay extra to use it. The breakfast menu was small, but it was different because it had dishes that were difficult to find in other hotels, such as hummus and shakshuka. I had very good memories of the Mondrian Los Angeles. As an Accor Platinum member, I had the opportunity to test the Mondrian hotel in Seoul. We chose a corner suite. The hotel is not located in a very touristy area of Seoul, but its access by bus proved to be quite practical. The public areas are pleasantly decorated. Not much to report about check-in, located on 2F (1st floor). As soon as you enter the room, you notice an unpleasant smell of humidity. Moreover, the wallpaper of the access to the sleeping area shows traces. The term corner suite is very overused. It is rather a spacious room with glazing on only one side. Wifi access is efficient. The room is equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker with 4 classic capsules and a bottle of water. As an Accor Platinum member we have 4 buttons. The bathroom does not contain any amenities (comb, cotton swabs, razors, etc.). Only fixed bottles of soap are present in the shower. The room has a shower, a bathtub and separate WC. There is a scale in the entrance cupboard. The bed is a nice king size. There is a TV screen in front of the bed. The trip to the bar to enjoy the Welcome Drink turns out to be catastrophic. The waitress quickly offers the drinks and food menu then stays behind her bar chatting with her colleagues. We're going to see her to order. We manage to grab it to have an extra cocktail. During service she offers you other small cakes to accompany the cocktails. She is told yes, but she will not come back. In short, €60 for 2 cocktails and a plate of crab and fried onions is a bit expensive and meh… The next day the breakfast service turned out to be terrible: very very very long. To the point that customers were leaving before receiving their breakfast. The gym is impressive with lots of equipment as well as screens for playing golf. There is also a swimming pool (cap required), sauna… Finally, important work located near the hotel wakes you up in the morning and buzzes in your room all day long.
This hotel will not be a good memory.

My stay was overall pleasant. I stayed 4 nights on a lapse of 2 times 7-10 and 13-14 October.
On my first stay, the man (I forgot his name) at the reception was not exactly rude, but he was not welcoming or nice at all, not even a welcome greeting. He seemed extremely rushed to check me in and even spoke very quickly, and I could barely understand what he said. On my second stay, the woman at the front desk (I think her name is Yumi) was very kind and patient.
The room was spotless and nice-looking. Room cleaning was good every day. As I was travelling with my mother, the design of the room design was a little bit uncomfortable because the bathroom (toilet and shower) has no privacy. Good amenities in the room, shampoo, cream, and a bottle of water every day The beds and pillows are comfortable.
The smell in the room hallways is unpleasant (maybe there's bad plumbing) and the carpets looked dirty. (8th and 7th floor) There are only 2 elevators available for most guests and I guess you have to pay more or be a premium member to use 1 elevator, that's funny because it's really not practical since there are very few elevators for all guests. Mobility for all guests should be a priority. The first-floor entrance decor for the premium elevator looks really tacky, like an entrance to a nightclub.
The view from my room (the first stay) was nice, looking at Namsan Tower.
I enjoyed the breakfast every day at Cleo, I also had dinner one day at Cleo and the food was really good. I recommend the restaurant for dinner too. Service at Cleo was good and everyone was very kind.
The hotel has a CU convenience store in the basement and there is also a 7-Eleven and a Starbucks across the street.
I personally liked the location of the hotel: Close walking to the bus stop that takes you to the city center. Close walking to Itaewon main street where there are shops and restaurants Close walking to Banpo Bridge and Han River. I enjoyed going out for a run late at night to Han River, it's close.
The guys at the main entrance were very kind and helpful, they helped us get a taxi and even helped us sort out directions with the taxi driver.
I would be back on my own for sure.

Wonderful, attentive, and courteous service, going above and beyond! This is the 3rd time I am staying at the Mondrian Hotel in Itaewon. I used to stay at the Shilla Hotel, which is also excellent, but the Mondrian Itaewon is my new favorite. The hotel and the rooms are stylish and immaculate, the hotel has a cool vibe with dazzling art installations, the guests are extremely diverse, ranging from stylish & hip to tourists and people visiting for international jobs. The staff make everyone feel welcome, so even if I am not as hip as some of the other guests, the staff always make me feel just as special.
I travel with my service dog, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. This is particularly notable because it can be difficult to find hotels in Seoul that accommodate service animals. Mr James Ellie was particularly attentive, personally escorting me to my room with my luggage and service dog to make sure that everything was well-taken care of and that there were no challenges to my disability with my accommodations.
I stayed at the hotel for 1 week, and by the time I left, it felt like a home away from home.

Nice hotel with the expected modern Mondrian design and cool vibe. Long queue to check in was a disappointing start, room was quite small but smartly designed to maximise space. Sadly, it showed a lot of wear and tear (scratched wooden floor, cracked tiles, mouldy seal) and shower leaked. Top quality toiletries, Nespresso capsules and water were offered on a complimentary basis. Bed linen and mattress was top class. Rate included breakfast but unfortunately, the restaurant only opened at 6:30am which was too late to catch our transatlantic flight. No in-room dining before 6:30am neither. After complaining about it, we were given some coupons for the Prestige bar which was good service recovery. Roof top bar was a unique venue with an amazing view, more focus is needed on attention to detail and service given the high prices. Roof toilets were a disgrace, what a shame to see the state at such high-end bar. Nice indoor swimming pool, do bring your swimming cap as it will be required. Overall, it was a good stay and we would certainly return should we come back to Seoul at some point in the future.

The valet always kindly called taxis with a cheerful attitude, always unloaded and picked up our luggage, and treated us with a friendly attitude. The receptionist always welcomed us with a smile and always kindly guided us without any inconvenience for 5 weeks. The room management staff cleaned everything without a speck of dust and provided everything we wanted. They always provided me with spare parts, and I was very happy to see them politely decline even when I had to pay them for their trouble. I was really, really satisfied with the Mondrian Hotel. I stayed there for 5 weeks and thank you for being so friendly and cheerful. I will definitely visit again next time. Thank you for the laughter. See you again!

The interior of the room had a nice atmosphere, and the mirror design next to the bed was pretty, so it was great for taking pictures. The inside of the bathroom was clean and the shower room was separate, so I was able to use it without any inconvenience. I had breakfast in the morning, and it was nice to see a Korean food package on the menu, and I enjoyed it. I had dinner in the evening and used the fitness center and the swimming pool. The desk staff was very kind and helpful, and the gym had a variety of equipment and was spacious, so it was easy to work out. You can even see the pool view right in front. I washed up and played in the pool. The pool was quite long, so I swam freely. The guards in red clothes kindly guided me, so I had a safe time. I found the greatest satisfaction in fitness. What was disappointing was that the interior of the sauna seemed to be poorly cleaned. There was mold here and there, which was a bit disappointing, but I still healed properly! I'll have to come again when you let me go

I stayed at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon with my nephew in December of 2024 during the busy Christmas/New Years season. We booked two separate rooms and arrived a couple hours early. The staff did their best to locate rooms for us that had already been vacated and cleaned so we could check in early and did not have to wait. Both of our rooms had beautiful views.
Unfortunately, a pipe suddenly burst in the room above mine, and water started flooding through the ceiling. I quickly collected my things and went to reception to report the flood. The Assistant Front Office Manager James Kim immediately apologized for the disruption to my stay and did his best to make up for the surprise inconvenience. He gave me a complimentary upgrade to a special corner suite room with an even more beautiful view, a huge bathroom suite with a luxurious soaking tub, and he personally escorted me to the suite to make sure that there were no unexpected problems and that everything was to my liking.
The suite was EXCEPTIONAL. However, I must say that even better was Mr. Kim’s sincerity and his dedication to making sure that my stay in Seoul was not upset by the accidental burst pipe. The flood made a funny story to tell my friends in New York, but in truth, the most memorable part of my stay was realizing that the assistant manager cared so deeply about making sure that every moment of my stay was as comfortable as possible.
I have visited the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon in the past, and I plan to stay there whenever I travel to Seoul.
