Good hotel in a nice area of Seoul. The rooms was nice and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast had a very good selection of food. The hotel is just some steps away from a metro station and we also took a buss direct from the airport that stooped very close to our hotel. I will defintively like to come back oneday.

Comfortable, clean, polite staff especially at the dining hall and the housekeeper. Very good location within walking distance of everything we needed to get to in the centre of town. Nice big size bed. Walls a bit thin that you can sometimes hear other people in other rooms.

Hotel has a great location. It's located just a block from the Anguk Station and the Airport Bus stop. For tourist its the perfect spot to start there trip in Seoul with the Royal palaces within walking distance and historical streets of Insadong just out the back of the hotel. Rooms were clean and had the basics in them. Sink is outside the bathroom in your living room area. Rooms have traditional bathtubs in them. Towels were starting to get a bit rough around the edges. Check in is on the 5th floor and the building seems to function as an office tower as well so it was a little confusing at first. The 5th floor has lots of lockers you can use to store luggage if you have a late flight or arrive early. Only draw back was that if you do get a temple view room, the monks start the day at 4:30am and you can hear the light "doooong" of the bell in the morning.

Location, Location, Location. This was a great hotel with a premier location for a trip to Seoul. Located very close to the metro, historical sites, and the Insadong shopping district. We stayed here for five nights in November. The breakfast was great and amenities were top notch. The hotel is centrally located to the major sites in Seoul. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The good: location is good. Close to restaurants, shops and subway. Myeongdong is walkable. There are plenty of eating places open after dark. The not so good: the room temperature, when we checked in, was unbearably hot. The thermostats showed 28C to 29C and it hardly went down overnight. We spoke to the front desk about the heat, and was advised the heating is centralised. Following their suggestions, we opened the windows, but the temperature only went down to 26C or 27C. It was too uncomfortable to sleep. Needless to say, our sleep quality at this hotel is very poor. The other not great thing is the lift or elevator. Reception is located on 5th floor, but the entrance is on 2nd floor. We have to change elevator every time we went in and out.

I stayed here in October 2023 with my mom, having come to Korea to enjoy the autumn foliage. I had also come here back in June 2023 with my husband and kids, so I'll be writing about both experiences. But the short of it is, I have NEVER experienced hospitality above and beyond like I experienced this last trip. I will be raving about this place for a long, long time. In June, my family of four found this location extremely convenient. It is very close to a metro stop, and an easy walking distance to both Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, both easily some of the most impressive historical sites I've ever seen. There is a famous Buddhist temple right across the street, and the traditional village of Bukchon is just a 10-minute walk away. It's bustling but not packed to the gills, and feels incredibly safe, almost any time of day. Insadong, the neighborhood the hotel is in, is full of tiny, cute shops and specialty restaurants, as well as multiple convenience stores. There is a famous mall right across the way, with small handcrafted items and displays from local young artists. Nine Tree, the hotel itself, was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable compared to many other hotel beds I slept in Korea, and I loved that there was a coin laundry room in the building. The front desk folks are really wonderful. All of these factors led me to book this hotel again on my trip with my elderly mother for the fall. The first thing that happened after I checked in was that my mother realized she could not find her phone, which was one of those phones with an attached wallet. I still had her passport, but all of her important, non-passport things were in her wallet. I went down to speak to the front desk person (Frank/Kim Tae Seong), an actual angel as far as I could tell, who proceeded to help us beyond what any reasonable person would. We suspected she had dropped her phone in the taxi we came in. He pulled up the camera footage of the parking lot to see if he could find the taxi's license plate, so that he could call the company. Upon finding that he could not, he spent additional time to check the footage and called up the taxi company of the car that was parked in front of us, and asked them to have the driver contact us. When that driver contacted us, he then asked if they could supply the video from the cameras that all the taxis in Korea run, in case it caught the video of my taxi's license plate. He arranged for them to bring the video (which the driver did not know how to replay) so that he could replay it himself. He found that only 3 digits from the license plate was showing, but the company was identifiable, so he tracked them down and asked about the driver of our taxi. It turned out that he had already finished his shift, and was heading home, and the company was having trouble getting a response from the driver. At this point, he had already spent about 2 hours trying to help us. This kind front desk person pulled out his personal phone and made an international call to my mom's number since we had come from the US. I hadn't called it because she didn't have international roaming, and in my panic, I didn't think to call her phone. Eventually, the taxi driver picked up her phone, and he spoke to the person and arranged for me to meet him. Since the cabbie was done with his shift, he (cabbie) was ready to go to sleep and didn't want to come back out to drop of the phone, which was totally understandable. The front desk angel Frank then told me that he was about go finish his shift (at 7am) and that he would take me over to the cabbie because he was worried about having me meet a cabbie somewhere, and was also worried about the cabbie asking for an unreasonable reward. I tried to refuse but he very kindly insisted. It turned out to be an hour there and an hour back in morning rush hour traffic, that he kindly volunteered after his shift, out of concern for his hotel's guests. He in particular emphasized that he would never want his mother to be in the situation that my mother was in, especially in a foreign country, and refused all gifts & rewards out of ethics around his hospitality profession. Without Frank, our vacation would have started with such a huge bump, but he put in 4 hours of his time & effort to make sure that we, his guests, would not suffer. I never previously imagined such kindness, and it was clear that he took immense pride in his hotel and his work. I cannot imagine how our experience would have been if we had stayed in another hotel or an AirBnB. The other hotel staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, were kind and welcoming. I could not imagine a better place to stay. They have my business for life.

Have just left after a six night stay. I've given 5 stars but don't imagine that it's perfect, it isn't, but it does most of the basics very effectively. Location is fantastic for Insadong and the historical sights. There are many very acceptable restaurants nearby. This suited us perfectly. The room was a high floor temple view which had a lovely outlook. It was big enough. Comfortable. Good bed. Good blackout curtains (an important thing to me). Very quiet corridors with drinking water and ice to supplement the free bottled water. Acceptable bathroom. CLEAN. MODERN but not fancy. Nice helpful staff, cheerful. One big downer. The restaurant. Just don't. We were actually quite sad to leave.

Made to feel like second class citizens. Hotel rooms were fine very comfortable and check in was efficient and fast.. The problems started when we, as entitled guests visited the roof top bar and experienced rude staff. We were a party of 11, with 9 residents of the hotel and all of who have had a fantastic time in South Korea attending a wedding in Gangneung. We were a mixed party of Scottish, German and South Korean nationalities and were spending a few days in Seoul also. However, roof top staff made us feel like second class citizens and even questioned our ability to pay our very mediocre bill after spending only a couple of hours here. We are all very successful business people and will be returning to Seoul but will definitely not be staying at this hotel ever again. We have moved to a much better hotel around the corner for the rest of our stay.

The hotel was nice. We got a room with 3 single beds for 3 adults and it worked out well. It was handy to have pay washers and dryers available. Didn't try the restaurants. When calling the front desk because we couldn't seem to get our air conditioning setting to change, we learned that the air conditioning is centrally controlled, so they sent up a fan.
