We were looking for a nice hotel, but for a good deal and we came upon the IP Boutique Hotel. Our check-in was fine. Not much of a concierge service, so don't think you'll be able to rely on them for tourist help. The rooms are a bit small and the bathroom is glass enclosed so make sure you're very...

Rooms were decent but bathroom was designed for short people big shower head was in the way and right at eye level. Hotel itself was in a good location in Itaewon area. Halls were so dark when you got off the elevators but the the rooms were super bright due to all the mirrors! Food was average nothing special but...

I spent a couple of night here. I was alone on a business trip, so my room with double bed was enough for me even if not enormous. Place is tidy, bed confortable. Bathroom designed for short people; sink is stylish but very small (and almost blocked) but above all, mind you head under the shower as water jet is...

Its a trendy boutique hotel but not too expensive. It is also located near many tourist areas so even if we mostly took the cab to most of the places we went to, fares still was not expensive. It is also ideal for people who wants to take the airport bus because it is located right in front of an...

I stayed here for 10 days and thought it was a really unique and a good value. First, the positives: 1) Trendy cute hotel with nice comfortable rooms. THey bed was very plush and the room, although small, had all I needed. 2) Great value, I think I paid $100 a night and got a nice free breakfast. 3) Great...

We've stayed here this August for the second time and we were not disappointed. This hotel is perfectly situated on the main Itaewon shopping street without being caught in the noisy, overly busy are where the Hamilton hotel is. You can manage to have a good night's sleep and no be disturbed. You're no more than 15 minutes by walking...

If you are looking for something a little different this is it, swings in the foyer, a giant chair and lifts that look like you are walking into a locker, the rooms are very comfy with glass walls for the bathroom, our room was looking like its ready for a refurbish but still very likeable, the restaurant overlooks the busy...

I stayed here for pleasure on a short trip to Korea to visit friends. The hotel has quite a dramatic entrance area and is quite 'flashy' in this respect. The hall ways to the rooms were pitch black and made it quite difficult to see your footing. The rooms themselves were well apportioned and the bathroom and shower area were...

Well located with SAmsung art gallery nearby with bountiful choices for f&b. Nice fun concept but not as refined in decor as 5 star deluxe. The dark corridor leading to rooms is totally ridiculous I felt unsafe....I mean its pitch black. ..a concept which got too carried away. The room is bright and cheerful. Not much personal service or boutique...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
