A fantastic location, to be sure!! Walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants. It seems to be the expat area, so don't expect that many Korean places to eat. But there are a few. Excellent metro connection to everywhere in Seoul as well. (Speaking of metro. If you stand still for more than 30 seconds a ton of...

Room The room is nice. Clean and modern. The painting on the wall is also very cute. I have upgraded to a 3 person room, the price is good given that the room has 1 king bed and 1 double bed. The bed is comfortable and the beddings are changed every day. My room also has a small sitting area...

nice, hotel, with good staff. Location is quite convenient for the metro. Slightly unusual styling, which I liked, but comfortable all the same. I didn't eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food. I would go there again.

I ended up upgrading after seeing 2 rooms that were either small and shabby or with a view of a brick wall. Ok in the end. I looked around to find a bettet value place, but just stayed here in the end. The design concept of the hotel is a bit kitsch but the rooms were well appointed and the...

Comfortable and definitely a bit different, but a great position and helpful staff at a good price. Travellers tip, most taxi drivers don't understand this hotel name, so take a google map printout with streets noted in Korean and the hotel pointed out on the map. Drivers all seem to appreciate this then transfer that to their gps. Btw, IP...

My first time in Seoul I was staying at the Sheraton D Cube Hotel which was fantastic. This time I wanted to stay in Itaewon so I chose IP Boutique Hotel. Having been flying for 22 hours, clearly I was exhausted. They were able to accommodate my early arrival by letting me check into a room with 2 double beds....

We stay at IP Boutique several times a year when we are in Seoul on business. The staff are always warm and helpful. The rooms may be a bit small, but they're clean and modern, and you can't beat the location in Itaewon. My only suggestion would be to improve on the lighting in the hallways. They're a little dark.

A breath of fresh air for hotels in Itaewon. The staff was very friendly upon arrival checking in and valet parking. The rooms were clean with the maids doing a great job but for the price we paid for the room, it was just fair. I expected alot more out of it, This may be more suitable for the Japanese/Chinese...

Everytime I have to chance to visit Itaewon, I choose IP Boutique since it's the only fancy/clean hotel in Itaewon as far as I know. It's bit far from clubs and bars; Itaewon station (10-15 mins by walk) so it's not loud at all at night even this hotel is located on the main road. Staffs were friendly and attentive....

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
