I will probably stay here again. It was a pretty good hotel with reasonable rate. I think it’s one of the best hotel values I’ve found in Seoul and it’s very convenient to the iteawon station and has a lot of bars and restaurants nearby.

Good hotel in the party district of Seoul (Itaewon). Is far enough away from the action that only faint noise can be heard from the clubs on a weekend night, not enough to disturb (same can be said for the construction going on next-door at the moment). Didn’t eat at the property so can’t comment on that. Hotel is clean, styling is funky, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good value for money, would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great place in Itaewon if you are looking for good night life. Restaurants, bars and. clubs are within walking distance. Attractions are a short taxi ride away.

The hotel, itself, is great. The lobby is inviting and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I think that I got the room with the best view (room 1213)... thank you. :). Noise wise was minimal for me. It definitely didn't keep me awake and I hardly noticed it. I would not even mention it. The only reason I am bringing this up it's because of other reviews.

The entire hotel staff was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! The front desk was courteous, professional, and very helpful. It didn't matter whether it was the morning, afternoon, or night shift, everyone was SO GREAT! They helped me in getting taxis to and from places and gave great recommendations as to where to eat. HUGE kuddos and much appreciation to all of them. They were all a class act!

This will definitely be my hotel of choice when I visit Seoul again; and I will recommend to all of my friends who are looking for a similar vibe.

Great location in Itaewon, but not worth the price. The rooms are VERY DATED - carpet is worn out, clogged shower drain, toilet was running on our last day, weird mirrors, and no privacy in the bathroom. Meaning you can see people in the room area bc of mirror angles, they can see you doing everything in the bathroom . No different than a “love motel.” We did get late checkout for two hours (10,000W per hour) and the front desk staff were very friendly.

This hotel's location was very good for Itaewon trip. The hotel had good room and service with neat atmosphere. The price was reasonable, and many special shop and restaurant around this hotel. Except parking problem for mechanic system with valet parking fee, all was good to us. We were satisfied at there for 4 days.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Itaewon. Check in was fast and easy. The elevator was fast. The rooms were as advertised. Temperature control was easy. The tv had many channels however I could only find three or four in English. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I've stayed here a night with my friend. The windows were filed with dust. Every time I touched the curtain to open the window, I wanted to cry because of its dirt. The worst thing is a bathroom. There was some hair on a towel and the floor. It was really disgusting.

IP is located in Itaewon, not a popular tourist area but close to Myeong-dong where we went daily. Taxi ride only cost approx 5USD and there were four of us so very economical. Airport shuttle from the airport stops across the street while to the airport stops in front of the hotel. One way fare cost 15USD/person. The trip took 75min in normal traffic.

Subway station is located on the smae street and 5 min walk away. It cost 1USD/person to travel to Myeong-dong.

There are restaurants, cafes, bars, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell ... along the street so looking for places to eat wasnt a problem.

The hotel doesnt look impressive from the outside but the rooms are nice. It's not big but spacious enough for two. Our room doesnt have a view as it's facing another building but it has an alcove and a comfortable armchair.

The hotel was renovated in 2010 so everything still new and nice. The bed and the blanket were very comfortable. The mini bar had many selections. There were two bottles of complimentary water plus tea and coffe and a hot water pot for boiling water. The room is also equipped with iPhone charger and provided free wi fi. The TV is a good size flat screen TV.

The bathroom is all glass but part of it is that kind of nontransparent glass(?) so one cant really see through it. The bathub is equipped with regular shower and rain shower. But if you are over 5'8", you might be too tall for the rain shower.

The regular shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, soap, cotton pads, cotton swaps, comb and sewing kit were provided. There's also a blow dryer. The toilet was automatically flushed.

We kept the closet door ajar to keep the closet light on so it worked as our night light. It's not too bright but bright enough to light up the bathrrom too so we didnt have to turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night so to wake up the other pserson.

The hallway had almost no lighting so very dark. But we're prepared as we did check it out on tripadvisor reviews before we booked it.

The staff spoke English and helpful. We arrived at 9am and they let us checked into our rooms. IP is a nonsmoking hotel. For 120USD/night in July excluding breakfast, we found it a steal.

Oh one word of caution. Do not take the taxi from or to the airport unless you have no luggage or you are willing to pay top dollar for the taxi van. The medium size taxi can take up to 4 passengers but its trunk has such limited space that it can only take 3-4 pieces of small handcarry.

While this comment is on one of the receptionists only (a lady), she made me write this review. Her attitude was so bad that I was surprised she was being assigned a client-facing position. I was asking the ways to go to the airport, she showed me a paper slip which shows the bus schedule with the price. However, I later found out that the subway would take less time (though one will need to change line once and you may not get a seat), and half the price of the bus fare. And there is no worry of traffic congestion (I was leaving at peak hour on a weekday). Anyway, this just means the desk is not so informative.

What pissed me off was the attitude of that lady. After she gave me the bus schedule, I asked for her advice which time I should aim to come back to the hotel and head for the airport, telling her my departure time. Then she answered with an annoyed face, "Up to you."
I don't think it's because she doesn't use English well. And franklyI didn't ask her a lot of questions and I was asking her politely.

The hotel location is good for clubbing, but in general I don't like that area after all. I prefer more local experiences.

The hotel itself is ok, decorations on the ground floor was modern. But the corridor upstairs and the room interior were a bit scary - too dark with too many mirrors.. yes I watched too many horror movies:)

My wife and I stayed eight nights at the IP Boutique Hotel. We took Airport Limousine Bus No. 6030 from the Incheon (ICN) Airport to the hotel on a Wednesday evening. We bought the tickets for the bus inside airport exit 4. The trip took one hour and fifteen minutes. The fare for the two of us was 30,000 won. From the bus stop we walked up to the crosswalk, crossed the main street, and walked to the hotel, which took about four minutes.

The lobby of the hotel is very spacious. Check-in was quick and without any problems. Information about our reservation was readily accessible by the staff. On the last night of our stay I paid some of our bill with cash (my remaining won) and our American Express credit card. The staff at the desk was most helpful in answering our questions and in helping us make reservations for a tour of the Secret Garden. Check out in the morning was easy as I only had to return the room card.

Our room was on floor 11. The elevator worked with dependability while we were there. As some have reported, the hallways are dimly lit. We thought it would have better if it had brighter lighting. The hallway carpets needed cleaning. At first the hallway had a peculiar oder in the nature of some type of cleaner or disinfectant. One day the elevator had the same smell; however, as the days passed, the scent seemed to diminish somewhat as we got use to it.

The room was bright and had a great view with the mountains in the distance and the city up close. The Cheil Building across the street was in the middle of our view.

The room was clean and well-maintained by the cleaning staff during our stay. We thought the carpet was worn there also, and the carpet should be replaced or least needed a cleaning. The bed was queen-sized and had a duvet instead of sheets and blankets. We had adequate closet and drawer space although we brought along our own clothes hangers, which we used. We slept well although we could hear street and traffic noise common to busy urban areas. Adjusting to a time zone thirteen hours earlier than my home time zone, I did on occasion wake up during the night and could sometimes hear sounds from nearby rooms. However, I usually fell back asleep rather quickly. We also had free wifi in our room, which worked well for us.

The key card controlled the lighting of the room. At the bedside was a panel with a master switch, which was used to turn off the lights when we went to bed. The panel also had various buttons including "do not disturb" and "make up room."

The bathroom had one sink, which was more like a bowl. The bathroom had a "smart" toilet with many features to it including a toilet seat warmer and a bidet. The bathroom also had a bathtub with both a hand-held shower and a mounted shower. Water pressure and temperature were good.

The hotel, which has an international clientele, is located in the Itaewon district with a wide variety of restaurants and businesses near the hotel. While we there, the mornings found few people up and around on the main street of Itaewon. As the day progressed, more and more people and traffic emerged. By nightfall the sidewalks and streets were crowded. Itaewon comes alive at night. We were about seven minutes away by foot to the Itaewon Metro station. We used the subway system extensively to get around Seoul. We bought T-Money cards at a 7-11 store in the Itaewon Metro station and used the machines in the station to load and reload our cards, which we used to pay our metro fares. The subway has enough English signs to help those who cannot read Korean. For the subway one needs to be physically fit to walk the stairs and the distances required although there are frequent elevators and escalators. We also rode the city bus and took a taxi, which were good transportation. The city bus accepted the T-money card.

In Cafe Amiga located on the hotel premises we had the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on four mornings, which we greatly enjoyed. Offerings included some excellent creamy fruit salads, candied fruit salads, crab salad, grilled sausages with onions, bacon, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, orange juice, milk, apple juice, good coffee with steamed milk, and bread items. The staff there was quite attentive and willing to help. The cost was 19,800 won per person, and the buffet was open from 7 a.m. through 10 a.m. My advice is not to wait until the last minute to go to the buffet as it does end at 10 a.m.

We had booked the hotel over the internet using the hotel's website, which makes reservations through Agoda. We found Seoul to be a most interesting mix of the old and new and felt that the room rates we paid were reasonable for where we were staying.

At the end of our stay we went back to the Airport Limousine Bus #6030 bus stop and caught the 7:09 a.m. bus. We arrived at the airport (ICN) about an hour and a half later.

My wife and looked at a couple of other hotels. We believed we stayed in the best place for us on a first trip to Seoul.

1. for breakfast you need to pay separately. as far as i remember the the price was modest. 2. Air port transportation- the best way is to use the Air Port shuttle bus system, the bus stop is very near the hotel. I do not remember the bus number, you can ask the hotel for the number, the price was something around 40,000 Won ( around 35$). You can also use the subway system or a taxi, but from my experience bus is the fastest and most efficient.

The price depends on the timing, but around $100 per night, maybe a little more at busy times, sounds like a good estimate. The front desk people do speak English.
