The location isn't the most amazing since it takes about 30 minutes to get to any major tourist attraction. However, it is right next to the yeongdeungpo train station so it is quite accessible in general as you can catch the train to go pretty much every direction in seoul. There is a coin laundry store 1 block away that opens 24 hours a day, and the airport transfer bus stops right in front of the hotel as well. In terms of amenities the hotel ticks all the right boxes.

Unfortunately for any Marriott loyalist, your elite status won't get you anything here as they don't offer free breakfast. There is also no nicer rooms or suites. The best they offered me was a higher floor room, which was like a shoe box. Although the elevator set up is nice and modern, where you swipe your card and it tells you which elevator to get in without you needing to press the floor button, higher floor sometimes still takes a long time to get into an elevator.

The restaurant on site, if you do want to have a breakfast buffet, has a fairly decent selection and is reasonably priced for western standards, at around 17,000 won. They claim it is independent from the hotel so no free breakfast for anyone. Nice for them to have the convenience of locating directly inside the hotel though, I wonder what their main clientele is?

I had some pretty servere allergy when staying here as well, I think the ac unit aren't properly maintained and cleaned. It can be a cesspool for germs if not done.

Moxys will give you free breakfast and their locations are a bit better than fairfield. They cost slightly more per night. Something to consider.

Staff wasn't very friendly. They do speak very good English in general, but aren't keen to help you much. For example, there was a pretty big pool of water on a bench in the lobby. I almost sat on it while I was waiting for my wife. I informed the front desk about the water, just letting them know it's there. 20 minutes after I was about to leave, the water was still there. Tells you how much they actually care about their job.

We have just completed a short stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Seoul (Time Square). We wanted to share our review.

The property is located right next to the Yeongdeungpo Metro Station (Line 1). You exit the station at the Lotte Department Store exit and the hotel is directly to your right. This proximity helps to make the hotel easy to get to when arriving at Seoul Station. The hotel is also a stop for the 6007 Airport Limo Bus, which provides an additional option for getting to/from Inchon Airport.

With the property being so close to several metro lines, it acted as a great base to explore Seoul from. We found ourselves utilizing the metro line 1 and Line 5 (a sort walk north of the hotel) quite often and would recommend getting a rechargeable metro card know as ‘T Money’, to help take advantage of the very affordable metro system in Seoul. The T Money card can also be used for additional day to day purchases, much like Hong Kong’s Octopus Card.

The property, though showing some signs of wear, is well cared for and kept tidy. The rooms are a fair size, but are arranged so the shower door doubles as the toilet door. An awkward arrangement that does not provide much in the way of privacy if you’re not travelling alone. The hotel gym is located on the 5th floor and is equipped with modern strength training equipment for light workouts. We also found the front desk staff quite welcoming and professional. They do recognize elite status though are unapologetic when you are confronted with the fact that the property does not provide the typical breakfast amenity. This is now the second Fairfield I have stayed at that does not offer daily breakfast to all guests much less for elite members as a welcome gift option.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay here and would recommend Fairfield by Marriott Seoul for those wishing a practical, affordable location to explore Seoul from.

Went because the price was much lower than usual and Bonvoy is running a great promotion for double nights and extra points. Titanium Elite/Lifetime Gold. Was okay, but for the price point I've had better experiences at cheaper Bonvoy properties and cheaper hotels in Seoul. Location is a bit outside the most popular areas for tourists, but there are two stations an easy walk away (one <5 minutes and one < 10 minutes) that get you to the 1 and 5 lines for easy connections across the city. I like walking and don't mind the extra time to commute, so that's not an issue for me. There's also a Starbucks and multiple 7-11s right downstairs and plenty of restaurants nearby. It may have just been my days, but the front desk seemed very short staffed, at one point with about 10 people waiting to speak with reception. But in addition to my check-in, I noticed another big queue later. The Titanium Elite Benefits were the weakest I've ever had, and I've stayed at cheaper properties with significantly better, so I don't think it's purely a matter of cost. The breakfast was not included, though I did get a promotion for one breakfast on my last day. Looked like an okay selection, but the coffee and fruit were limited, which is what I usually have. The positives: the rooms are modern, beds are comfortable, and outlets work with U.S. electronics. Luggage storage before and after is nice, especially if you're checking out somewhere else early/waiting to check into your next hotel. People seemed generally friendly. American style bathroom, which was a nice change of pace for a few days. Room spacing is hard for a very big piece of luggage, but still better than smaller guest houses and hostels. I am glad I was able to secure my rate for around $75 USD a night, because at $110 a night I would've felt a little worse. Overall was a good stay, but not somewhere I'd stay again in Seoul with Bonvoy.

Now I'm staying here.
I just asked over the phone to front desk whether I can get fork or chopstick because there is only 1 small tea spoon in the room.
Front Desk said to me over the phone, I should go to convenient store and this hotel does not have any forks or chopsticks. What a gorgeous!
I would find another hotel next time where I can get forks and chopsticks if I visit Seoul again.

Folks,
Eat with a small teaspoon in this hotel was not that bad experience for me!

This hotel is using the Marriott umbrella to get customers, however the services here is what you would find at a hostel type hotel. I found strands of hair on the sheets and under the sheets. I asked for the sheets to be changed but the sheets and pillowcases were not changed.
The cleaning standard is extremely poor.
Every time housekeeping cleans the room, he/she never replenishes the stock of the toiletries, wash clothes, etc…

I am currently staying at Fairfield by Marriott Seoul that left me disappointed and disrespected, prompting me to share my experience here for the benefit of future guests.

Upon check-in, I was assigned a room with window panels that allowed in both cold air and the constant noise of traffic, resulting in a sleepless and interrupted night. Despite notifying the front office via the Bonvoy app, the resolution process was less than satisfactory. I first declined the duty manager's offer to check the room due to inconvenience (for obvious reasons that it was too late into the hour to do anything), yet a facilities team member arrived unannounced, causing further disruption by ringing the bell and knocking on the door repeatedly. It was clearly understood that I will look for the front desk when I am ready.

The next morning, during a scheduled visit, both the duty manager and facilities staff failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the lapse in room inspection, further contributing to my experience. To make matters worse, my privacy was compromised when the facilities staff was discovered recording our conversation secretly without my consent and knowledge. A clear violation of the basic expectation of guest privacy.

Given the significant impact on my stay, I requested fair compensation for the night's loss of sleep, but this has yet to be addressed. It has been more than 6 hours at the time of posting, and I was told that it is difficult for the Management to respond to me on a Sunday. There should be somebody of authority on duty, so clearly this incident isn’t being treated with the right level of attention and importance it should.

A restful night is a fundamental expectation of any accommodation, and the failure to provide this has not only affected my well-being but also hindered my ability to fully engage in my scheduled activities during my stay.

I sincerely hope that Fairfield by Marriott Seoul takes immediate measures to address these lapses in service quality and guest privacy. Future guests should be aware of these issues to make informed decisions about their stay.

We stayed at the Fairfield in Seoul for 3 nights, mainly due to the proximity of the hotel to the Yeongdungpo station & for the airport limousine bus stop being so close. We stayed in a high floor room, which was quiet and comfortable. The room had an interesting open bathroom design with a privacy partition which we had never seen before. But it works well. The decor and furnishings in the room are modern & pleasing. We were pleased with the layout and found sufficient space even with 4 bags. The room was also kept immaculately clean by housekeeping. The bedding was extremely comfortable. But the best thing about this hotel is its location. Besides being close to the subway & airport bus stop, this hotel is within short walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants of all kinds. That made it very convenient for us to get around the city of Seoul as well as find places to dine.

Our experience at this hotel was a pleasant one, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting & touring Seoul.

The hotel is just a minute walk from metro station and next to a LOTTE mall with a food court on the basement of the mall. The hotel was open in 2018 and the room was modern design but a bit small for a standard size. Clean and provide toiletries with coffee and tea bags. Has kettle and iron and board for your use. There’s no lotion in the room but you can ask for it in the reception and they will give you for free. Staffs are very polite and very helpful too! A convenient store is just downstairs and a Starbucks next door.

I stayed here for a 4 day conference a david found the staff welcoming and friendly after a long trip. The rooms were spotless and great attention was paid to Covid restrictions in place at the time. Somehow I had thought breakfast was included but it was not but after bringing this to the staff’s attention they provided some coupons that allowed me a lower daily price. The location was central to all the places I needed to go. With not a long taxi drive to the airport. Should I ever be in Seoul again I would stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield by Marriott Seoul. We reserved the family room (1 King bed, 1 single bed and 2 bathrooms - connected by an adjoining door). It was a perfect place for 3 pax. Customer service was good. The hotel was conveniently located near public transportation, malls, and restaurants. We even got a complimentary breakfast for 1 day because of my status. We tried to avoid the noise of the train tracks but having all family rooms located near the tracks, we had no choice. We weren't really bothered by the noise though. The train noise was gone by midnight and would start again around 5 in the morning. The reception helped us book a golf time at backyard golf in Seongnam and also a jumbo taxi for our early flight out of Seoul. We’ll definitely stay there again.
