The hotel is very close to the Seoul main train station so it is a good base for making day trips out of the city. It is also right on a very important metro line, nr 4. The hotel always seems rather busy but the reception staff handle the situations quite well although some speak better English than others. The single room was really small, not perfect if travelling with lots of luggage but it was well equipped and pristinely cleaned every day.

The room suddenly no electricity at night and the staff change another room for me. I have clearly requested the take a quick look of the original in the next day morning because it is dark and afraid i missed something in that room. But they claim they have checked it for me and nothing there. They broke the promise. ridiculous.

Hotel cleanliness need much improvement, room felt dusty and left over cigarette bud can be seen. In room furniture's seems flimsy too. Plus point was location as G25 and lift connecting to subway was right outside hotel. Also few subway station away to most shopping district. Staff were also helpful

The location is convenient (one metro station from Seoul station) and the room was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. What I missed was that there were no towel rack at all in the bathroom to hang up the towes to dry for re-use. Also, the lights only provided a minimum of light so that one couldn't read a book (even the bedside lamp werem't of use as they couldn't be bended to a significant extent). Something I found to be very poor for such a hotel as the Designers Seoul Station (and considering the cost per night): no lotion, no toothbrush and toothpaste, no bathrobe, and no slippers. The only slippers they provided were already used one. From a hygenic POV clearly not acceptable. When I booked with the hotel (2 months in advance of my arrival), I've kindly asked for a room at the highest floor possible to get away from the noise of the street. Although I got a reply, that they will try to accommodate my preference but cannot garantue, I find it hard to believe that there was not a single room in this approx. 20 story hotel which would have been available (instead, I got a room on the 5th floor). One last thing which I perceived to be very poor: The reception staff was not conversational in English. After check-out, I wanted to leave some postcards with them as I hadn't any time left to drop them off at a post office. The postcards were already postpaid. The staff at the reception consulted first with his colleague for 5 mins in front of my eyes. I got then the reply that this is not possible for a reason they didn't mention. As I couldn't imagine that the hotel has no letter which it needs to bring to the next mailbox or post office anyway, I kindly repeated my request and emphyasized, the the postcards had already been postpaid (it was 100% clear to them, what I asked). They than called a third colleague and talked for another 10mins. During this 10mins, they read the entire content of my postcards (an absolute no-go and totally irrelevant to my request) and after another 10mins - no explanatory words in English during this time - they said, they cannot do it. In addition: they told me, the post office is closed today (weekend) and I should try to send it from the airport where I was anyway about to be heading. For me, clearly unacceptable for such a hotel which claims to have a high standard.

Hotel pretty much as shown on the sites. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from Seoul Station exit 15, and Sookmyung Women’s University subway exit is literally at the hotel’s front door. Not much of a view from middle lower floor hotel room. No room safe. But I just needed a low cost room with easy access. Probably fewer than ten words spoken during check in. Strange, but not a problem. Language barrier wasn’t much of an issue. Would stay again.

Whilst I've said it's terrible, let me first say that it's in comparison to other hotels at this price point. Front desk was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is also conveniently located right outside Exit 10 of Sookmyung Women's University station. This is the exit with an elevator to surface level. I'll talk about the good stuff. The hotel entrance is literally 10m from the elevator. Myeongdong is on the same line, just a few stops down, and so is Seoul station. Location is brilliant. Can't say that much about the room itself though. There was a massive jacuzzi in my room that would easily fit 3 persons, which forced the designer to squish the toilet bowl and the shower together into such a tiny area that you'd think you were in Hong Kong. The position of the rainshower is such that you have to pass under it to get to the toilet bowl, and it drips, as most rain showers do. So every time you need to pee or take a dump, you'll get dripped on. Extremely annoying. There is no shower drop either, so the water from the shower area seeps out into the sink area. Also, I accidentally hit the jacuzzi on button, and the water spray shot over the low wall and onto the bed (the jacuzzi is RIGHT NEXT to the bed). The shower head is also ridiculously high and I have to stretch a bit to reach it. It's also a fixed position showerhead - you can't tilt it up or down, and the one I had listed to the left such that I had to shower close to the glass wall- so close, in fact, that I kept smacking into I as I showered. Oh, you can also hear the subway trains as they pass underneath the hotel because it's THAT close to the station. It didn't disrupt our sleep though. Now let's talk about the linens. The bathmat they provide is TINY. Even though my room is for 3 persons, they gave only ONE bath towel. What, they expect us to share?! When we asked for an extra bath towel, this was readily given, but I found this incredibly stupid. There is also NOWHlRE to hang your wet towels. The clothes rail is so damned high that my short Asian self cannot reach it. I can only surmise that they built the clothes rack for giants. The aircon controller and the bidet toilet are all in Korean. It's a hotel for goodness sake, I don't want to struggle with controls even though I can read a bit of Korean! Curtains now. They have blackout curtains on one side, but at the toilet area, it's blinds that don't block the light very well. So the room is brighter than I'm used to in the day. The next morning the toilet also clogged after I took a dump. That said, it's mainly first world inconveniences I've mentioned, so if you can live with these things, more power to you! I certainly will not be booking this for a return stay!

My first accommodation in Seoul. Very clean, well kept and comfortable. Room was just big enough for two. Breakfast was A+. Located right next to a GS25. Bathroom had a frosted glass wall. Free wifi in all the rooms. Quite close to Sukmyeong women's University if you're visiting someone there. Olive young is 500mts away.

Stayed for 5D4N. The staff (Kenneth Yoon & another lady, I didn’t caught her name) was helpful and friendly. I accidentally overbooked 2 rooms (I wanted 1 only, probably due to technical issue), the lady was kind to help me call agoda to cancel for free. On the last day, Kenneth went to the extend of helping us search for the airport limousine back to airport. The hotel is accessible to sookmyung women Uni station, exit 10, & walkable dist of 10-15mins to Seoul station. I would recommend taking the airport limousine (bus 6001, drop at sookmyung women Uni stop) to and fro the airport. It’s convenient and comfortable.

A convenient hotel which is near to Seoul Station. Only 10-15 minutes walk is needed. For the mtr exit, it is wonderful that the nearest station with an elevator. The airport bus station is next to the hotel too. There is also a convenient shop GS25 beside the hotel. Nice!

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be close to the underground. Exit 10 is around 10 feet front the hotel foyer. It is also just outside the city hub. We had a huge problem with the heating of the room. My husband constantly tried to reduce the heat because the room was very hot (almost 30 degrees). We even called the front desk to attend to this. The guy came and made adjustments but that never stayed there. As soon as we come back into the room the temp went up again. We gave up and just opened our window. Apart from this, we enjoyed the huge bathtub and a clean room. I would like to recommend more English channels on the tv because we had two news channels to watch. We stayed for four days and only once used the breakfast option. We found the lady unfriendly and unfortunately not too much food choices for western people. It is then easier to visit a bakery and have coffee and a croissant there.
