It should be a great hotel, but the lack of a working fire alarm and locked fire doors are serious issues. The other element is the amount of noise on a Saturday night. The road noises are fine, but the dance party shaking the room until 3am was too much. Too their credit, the hotel management extended our stay so...

This hotel is high up on Narikala Hill. The hill is very steep so impossible if you are not able to walk far. Great views from the balcony. We liked the room and the reception staff were nice and helpful. However it gets quite a lot of noise from the road and the nightlife below and there seemed to be...

The amenities were below what one would expect for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was very very limited and basics such as laundry bags were not available. However, the location was great and the view spectacular.

Located on a steep hill, inaccessible to most cars and tour buses. Dingy rooms, horrible mattresses, if you have a kid, he will end up sleeping on an army cot for extra fee. No extra pillows or towels and hot water is intermittent. Front desk staff are unfriendly and just rude. This property claims a 4 star rating, I could...

The room was medium size with a nice bathroom, the amenities were there, and the balcony in our room...

Positive: 1. Modern hotel, very beautifully designed 2. Large beds 3. Amazing service! The staff was really nice and helpful. Negative: It's quite a steep (but short) walk getting there, might not be suitable for children or elderly.

Honestly speaking, I have a high expectation of this hotel, the price is a bit on the high side (4 -star as claimed) and being part of International chain, this hotel failed me in a few ways: 1) There was no towel in the bathroom, may be they missed this out, I mean the housekeeping, but none apologised when they...

Tbilisi is a charming city and to find a little boutique hotel with terrace rooms and panoramic views was a must-have. The hotel is located just below the old fort (citadel) and is not for the faint-hearted, unfit or incapacitated as it is set up a ridiculously steep hill (so steep that our taxi driver would only take us halfway...

We loved this location, its really an Ancient hotel, we stayed only one night in this place, hotel rooms are clean and have enough space, you will get a nice view of the Tbilisi city. Friendly staff. Only one incident happened, room service open the door even without knocking, these rooms are not soundproof at all, we heard people walking...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Citadel Narakala is a unique boutique hotel offering a truly Georgian Experience. Offering stunning views of the scenic old town of Tbilisi, and located just below the city's landmark Narikala Fortress, it combines the modern hotel comforts that today's discerning guests expect with the ancient culture and heritage for which Georgia is famous. In each room you will find a short history of the century corresponding to your room number, specially written by a famous Georgian author. When your appetite for history has been whetted, you may wish to visit the small museum located right in the lobby, displaying archaeological artifacts unearthed during the construction of the hotel. All of this is within easy access of Tbilisi's business district and prime tourist attractions: the city's main thoroughfare, Rustaveli Avenue, and Freedom Square are just minutes away, while the main restaurant and entertainment district are a stone's throw from your hotel balcony. ... more   less
