Gorgeous boutique hotel very near to the airport in Yangon. Beautiful architecture and design, and the hosts were warm and welcoming with our flight arriving late from Heho airport. A cold beer and lovely dinner al fresco topped off a long travel day, and they were very accommodating for our early departure date with breakfast arrangements. Outside dining can be a bit warm as we were there in the hot season before the rains, but you can also take your food inside your room in air conditioned comfort. Overall, highly recommended for an overnight stay near the airport.

Just a small note - the hotel was a bit hard to find for our taxi driver, so make sure you have the phone number on hand for directions. Once they connected on phone, all was okay to quickly find :-)

There is much to recommend Mango Hill. It is a new building with comfortable bedrooms with a lovely garden to the front and very good service. There is a nice atmosphere. It is in a quiet place close to the airport but a good distance from the city centre. It would be best perhaps as a place to rest and relax before, after or between flights. You will have to taxi almost everywhere. And you will need to have good instructions in Burmese to find the location as it is hidden away down a laneway and not properly signposted even in terms of a decent sign outside the gate. But there are other problems. This is not an Inn but more a guesthouse. There is no television, no mini-bar, no wardrobe and no safe in the bedroom. Most bedrooms seem to be twins. The wifi is wobbly and I had to go downstairs to the small lobby to get reception. The food is mediocre. The breakfast is served but besides the round table in the lobby there was no evidence of a dining room. Most of all, however, Mango Hill is too expensive for what it offers. The owner is full of good intentions, particularly in giving employment and training to young people, but he needs to resolve the price and some more minor problems before it could be warmly recommended.

The staff is extremely hospitable, and the accommodations are clean and very safe.
Breakfast is included and is rather tasty. The inn appears to be brand new. A KBZ bank is on the corner with ATM.

Perfect location when arriving into Yangon late, or leaving early morning. The traffic into Central Yangon from the airport takes over an hour to drive the 16km / 9mi and over 1.5 hours from central to the airport. Mango Hill Inn is located north of the traffic problems, allowing you to explore Myanmar easier.

Easy to find, right off Pyay St (the main road to the airport) and A1 Street.
The "Tadalay" circle train station is 9 stops from central Yangon. A taxi to Tadalay station is 2,500 kyats.

I can't stress enough the fact that you don't want to be in Central Yangon the day of your flight or bus. Traffic in Yangon stops completely for long periods of time. Staying at Mango Hill when I arrived, and on my travel days out of Yangon saved a lot of time and frustration.

My friend and I stayed at Mango Hill Inn last week and can't rate it highly enough. The service was impeccable and attention to detail made us feel like royalty! The staff were all so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay with them was amazing. While it was a little way from the city, the drive into town gave us a fantastic view of the suburbs that we may not have seen if we had stayed in town. And the proximity to the airport is fantastic, especially for early morning or late night flights. Breakfast was delicious and we loved eating it in the lush tropical garden. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Yangon.

Very close to the airport, reasonably priced, clean, comfortable bed and pillows, AC that actually worked (vital in Yangon), great service, good breakfast, good lunch in the garden, incredibly friendly staff who are eager to help. Would definitely stay here again! Only possible negative is that wifi only works in the lobby, which can actually be nice when you're on vacation.

My husband and I stayed at the Mango Hill Inn for three nights when we first arrived in Yangon. From the start the staff and owner were thoughtful and conscientous. The owner graciously showed us his beautiful home and explained how and why he built as he did. We felt so well cared for; it was difficult to leave. Thank you, Mango Hill for your warm hospitality!

We stayed here for more than a week. Beautiful inn with hardwood floors through out. Spot clean bathrooms. Cozy green garden to dine in. Service is top-notch.
They serve local Burmese breakfasts of your choice on request - all so delicious!
They arranged taxies for us whenever we need - even odd hours of 4am.
Owner is kind and courteous and very attentive to all guests' need. Well trained friendly staff from kitchen to front desk. It was home away home. A perfect stay for us.

When we chose Mango Hill Hotel for a stop in Yangon we did it because it's rather close to the airport and we had an early flight next day. When we arrived there we fell right away in love with it because it's a oasis of peace in a very busy town. Very clean, tasteful rooms, a lovely garden where to have breakfast and dinner or just rest a while. The owner and the personnel are extremely kind and the global feeling is very zen. We were very happy to spend there a relaxing time at a very reasonable price!

My mother and me were looking for a rather quiet place at the end of our trip to calm down and relax. We didn't really expect that we will find something especially because it was water festival at that time. But this hotel was better and more quiet than anything we could have expected!
The hotel was obviously built with passion as it has lots of little nice decoration details and the architecture is really nice as well! It's really bright and friendly from inside.
The staff is just amazing, they really do care about you and have a sense of humour as well :-)
The owner has a special charisma and really friendly smiling eyes when he is talking.
You don't feel like they are just doing the service to get your money but you feel really welcome in a very peaceful atmosphere.

It's perfectly clean of course and the food is good as well!

Nothing to complain about, we would stay there again.

Thank you!

I love staying in the smaller, family owned hotels in a new country. You’re welcomed as an individual instead of a number, and Mango Hill is a great example of that.
The staff are lovely, and the owner chatted to us about the country and history.
It’s incredibly clean and comfy, and has lovely views of the district at sunrise.
The monks come by for rice too which is nice to watch.
It’s in the suburbs but not too far in a taxi to the main sights.
Thanks for the stay Mango Hill family.

It takes about just 10 minutes to/from airport. Even with traffic, no more than 15-20 minutes max. The airport is just 2 miles from Mangon Hill Inn. There shouldn't be any traffic around 7am. We took an early morning flight to Heho airport (to visit Innlay, Kalaw etc), and it worked out great. The Inn arranged taxi for us on multiple occasions, and the taxis booked via the Inn are reliable in terms of time and price. I believe the taxi from hotel to airport is complimentary (according to their website).
