We booked a room without a window as we tend to spend most of our time in hotel rooms either with our eyes closed or getting ready to go out. We're so pleased we did as the view of the surrounding neighbourhood isn't exactly pleasing, unlike the view from the roof top bar, especially at night. The Shwedagon pagoda can be reached by a 15 minute walk mostly through a very pleasant park area. We arrived very early and were shown to a room that hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupiers. We went to the roof to enjoy the view whilst we waited for a room to be made ready. It wasn't long before they showed us to another room that was exceptionally clean. There are plenty of shops, small convenience stores and locals restaurants on the door step along with a Hindu temple and a mosque. Taxi's are plentiful at the end of the small road and charge it seemed between 2000 & 3000ks to anywhere in the city. To the airport it was 6000ks. Overall the hotel is great but probably not the best location however some may like the area and it is walking distance to the Shwedagon but for the cost it is well worth it.

This place is only 10 min walking away from Dagon Pagoda. It is clean and well managed by 2 very nice couples who do their best to make your stay enjoyable. Employees are also extremly friendly and have enough english knowledge to make you happy. Affordable, clean, great location. RECOMMENDED.

The hotel was a little shabby so if you like clean luxury, best avoided. It's located in a very 'local' area which we wanted but again, if you are looking for comfort and an attractive location, perhaps not for you. Well placed for some of the city's landmarks. Breakfast is simple and the 'restaurant' pretty scruffy so don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. Room was a bit smelly but cleaned each day with clean bedding and towels.

We only stayed one night at Hotel Mila Noa but everything was excellent and even the staff went beyond fantastic to accommodate our needs. Firstly, getting to the Hotel from the airport can be tricky as even the taxi drivers can't locate the place exactly. Just a tip, just inform them it's near Dagon Center and you'll find it on a block across it inside an alley full of small local restaurants. Building is color purple so you'll spot it easily.

The staff were excellent especially Ella. All of them were very informative about the city and always willing to help with a smile. Some staff are not very fluent in english but there will always be one on station that is adept in english. As I've said, we only booked for one night, we arrived on a Friday, and left Saturday evening for the rest of our Myanmar trip. We went back to Yangon after 6 days away and we are allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel. Even allowed us to use the bathroom on the ground floor to refresh ourselves after a long bus trip from Nyaung Shwe. Also able to use wifi at the lobby while waiting for our flight. They even called taxi for us going to the airport and highway bus terminal at a decent price 6,000 kyats.

Rooms are spacious enough and clean. Location is OK. Tricky to find at first but can get used to. Near Shwedagon Pagoda but still have to take taxi. There's a convenience store near in front. Breakfast is plated and decent. Wifi is great for Myanmar standards.

Will definitely recommend this hotel to others. Excellent.

Found this place by chance, but will now use it on all subsequent business trips. Very good value rooms at $50-60 in a great location a short taxi or slightly longer walk to Shwedagon and People's park. Also there is a newly opened roof terrace bar with cracking views of Shw. Pagoda.

The staff service is really great. The front desk girls were really helpful, housekeeping, bellboy and restaurant helpers were very nice.

I like this hotel generally - location is good, overall design is bright and clean, comfy bed.

It's also relatively new - i have seen worse hotels of similar price range in Yangon.

However Mila Noa certainly needs to look into maintenance to maintain its good condition. Can see some parts of the rooms are already not in super good condition. My toilet is constantly leaking from the ceiling - gonna complain again tomorrow. And there was a dead cockroach when i checked in, and a LIVE cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night!!!! freaked me out!

The rooftop restaurant is not very well maintained too. And they don't have coffee for breakfast this morning! thats near criminal!

I still like it here - hoping the hotel will look into better maintenance, so that i can still come back and stay here during my next trip.

We booked this hotel as it was walking distance from the Shwedagon Pagoda. It is located in a local neighborhood, with many small restaurants and food, vegetable and fruit stalls right around the corner.
The rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace with view on the Shwedagon pagoda. The staff was very helpful.
Price/Quality I found this a very cheap hotel for the quality they offered.
Breakfast; choice of Myanmar or Western dishes and was included in the room rate.
Location wise, it was a 20 min walk to the pagoda, nearby is the people's park. Other touristy spots such as downtown, Inlay lake etc. are depending on traffic a 20~30 min ride away.

The hotel is a little difficult to find since google says it's a block away from where it actually is. Once you find it, it's a nice little oasis. A few minute walk south takes you to Peoples Park. Taxis are easy to find, the staff is really friendly. The view from the rooftop deck is great as is the included breakfast.

I had an excellent four-day stay here. Staff is wonderful, though most do not speak much English. The room is modern, clean, very comfortable, and the wifi super. The rooftop dining room and breakfast were wonderful... Great view and the super-friendly staff keeps offering you more food.

The choice to stay here depends on location... If you want to be downtown, this is not for you. The hotel is too far to walk there, but transport is cheap. I liked being close to the Shewdagon stupa, and being in a busy 'working class' neighborhood, though still close to more 'middle class' areas. The hotel is very modern, and kind of charmless.. The charm comes from the area, and the staff. The manager had excellent English, and was super helpful... Beyond what you would expect.

I have to say I'm confused by the previous reviews for this hotel. It's fine for a place to sleep but a bit like a travelodge so no real character. However, great food on the rooftop and a fab view of the Shwegadon Pagoda. Downside however is that there is a community rubbish tip right by the roof, where clearly the locals just tip their rubbish (and maybe excrement). This stinks and often wafts up to the rooftop! Sorry management, I know this is not something you can do anything about but it has to be noted....

However, the food was great and the staff were lovely but it really is expensive for what you get and as the others said, impossible for taxi drivers to find. Good for visiting the Shwegadon Pagoda but far from the colonial part of the city.
