We stayed here for two nights at the end of our three weeks trip. The breakfast offers a lot of asian varieties, but I personally would loved to had had a couple more of breads and ham and cheese. But it was good. The wi-fi has a good reception, but you've to keep login in with the room number and the password.
Our room had no windows what we thought it was going to be a problem, but as the hotel is located on the downtown and in a really busy avenue, we're really glad that we didn't listen anything from our room and could sleep really well.
The bathroom is quite weird and need some renovation. As soon as you open the door you've the shower and then the toilet. So after shower, you've everything wet and it's not nice. And well, the curtain was moldy.
The highlight is the location. We did a lot of things by walk because of that.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Nice, caring staff. Great, delicious buffet for breakfast. You have everything you need and the bathroom is very clean! (actually the best one we had during our 20 days trip trough myanmar) We had a room without windows because of our low-student-budget. But there are different classes of rooms, we'd probably get one with daylight for the next time.

Don't bother staying at Hotel K or Hostel K. Front desk staff poorly trained, and like the other reviewer stated, she felt like it was a 'rip the foreigner off' opportunity. Dangerous area at night. Hotel and hostel are located throughout an office building, so it is confusing trying to get around. Save your money and stay in Chinatown instead.

I stayed here at the start and end of an Intrepid tour of Myanmar. We also stayed an extra night ourselves. It's a decent hotel located in the centre of Yangon. Our room was very clean, quiet, comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included and was fine- toast, tea coffee, juice, fruit, a few more bits. I was happy with it! Location was handy for walking around and plenty of restaurants nearby.

So there are power cuts in Yangon, it happens and is not the hotel's fault. Unfortunately it happened at 2am so we lost air-conditioning but again, not their fault. It came back on a few minutes later.
The location is great, the staff have great English.
Breakfast is fine, normal Asian breakfast but with cereals and toast.
Would recommend based on location and helpfulness.

It is a night mare If you are looking for a nice hotel to sleep in at mid range price (meaning 40~70 $) in the downtown Yangon, However I stayed in this hotel for a night at the price of 50$ for doublebed room with windows, the hotel is clean but rooms are a bit small compare to other hotels with same price but will be located in outskirts of Yangon. Nevertheless I would recommend this hotel for downtown lovers

Terrific location and very clean. Large marble staircase to climb to get to reception which was difficult for my 82 yr young mom but staff was ALWAYS there to help her. The bedroom part was lovely with a mini bar, a large window facing west and 2 double beds (Rm 1002). The bathroom, however, was a bit of an anomaly. It was VERY tiny and when you had a shower EVERYTHING got wet ( sink, shelves, toilet etc). Also, the balcony had to be entered by going through the bathroom. I thought that this was very unusual as we had a huge window which would have been much more suitable to having a balcony. Balcony was very tiny and had no seating but staff was very helpful and brought 2 chairs to put on it. Beds were comfortable but pillows were huge and like rocks. Breakfast is included but is mostly local food. We asked for eggs one morning and were told that they had no eggs but they did have omelets??? We did not eat there other than breakfast as we felt we were being watched like hawks and there were plenty of wonderful street venders and restaurants close by. Despite the peculiarities of the bathroom layout I can say that the staff and location makes up for any deficiencies. Staff were WONDERFUL and looked after our every need.

The hotel is located in central downtown Yangon, a 10 minute walk from the Bogyoke Market and close to the Sule Pagoda. I stayed here as part of an organised tour but also decided to come back after my tour for an extra day. The staff are very helpful and will help with hailing taxis and negotiating a price for you. The room was clean and comfortable and there is a fridge you can use, as well as complimentary bottles of water daily. Some of the rooms don't have windows, which some people may not like, but was personally not a problem. Breakfast is fairly basic but certainly not an issue and similar to most similar priced hotels in Myanmar. Overall, a good hotel and decent value for money.

Let's start with GOOD info. Attending staffs from reception to all area in the hotel were friendly. As an oriental culture many were respectful. Taxi were easy to catch outside of the hotel on the very busy street. This hotel is not that old, decent looking from street. Good elevator. The hotel entrance is raise up from front street level and need to climb some steps to get in to the reception area. The breakfast choice is just Okay. I used only 2 days and did not go for next 2 days.
BAD: When I get into my 10th floor, I first notice the wired smell and the carpet which is run down on narrow corridor. The cement underneath the carpet is uneven and I did trip several times. Used to work in safety industry and I found many noticeable safety concerns. Do not know where the fire extinguisher is located.Emergency sign with stair is there, but do not where you will be wind up.
NO COMMENT SENSES HOTEL:
Hotel WIFI connection is Okay. but have to change EVERY 4 HOURS to reset your password. It is very inconvenient.
I booked the most expensive $80.00 room which has small shower, toilet, wash basin and trash can. That room is only 6 to 7 square feet area.Every time when we get in to the toilet or shower we were dizzy. Found out that the level of the floor was un-even and your body is in unbalance position.Hotel provide 2 slippers, but who want to use wet bath room floor all the time after showers.
Wash basin has toiletry amenitieswhich are put on the sharp edge mirrors in different position in narrow spacecorner which is very dangerous. Couple of time, I bumped and almost cut my head due to the sharp edges. The worst thing is the balcony door, which is straight from your commode. You can see the city building view from your commode. Strange. You have to go out to balcony from toilet. (So sad).I paid extra $20.00 a day for that view. AC is old style and the air goes to one direction onlywith no swing function. Our room isrelatively small.
One day at our stay, my wife ask for extra shampoo small bottle and floor attendant said HOTEL has limit to one per room per day. On the check out day I asked the floor attendant for new towels before noon. He said he had provided towels on before check out date. NO NEW TOWELS ON CHECK OUT DAY. I found out that is HOTEL K POLICY. Shame on you management. Where is the Hospitality of Burmese people and BUSINESS common sense? I am vivid world travelers and have never experience these kind of refusal and excuse and only found in my birth country. One of my car that is taking us back to airport was going to belittle bit late due to week day traffic near check out time. I asked the front desk, how long that I should wait after 12 noon check out time. The reception said 10 minutes or pay for full day.I don't argue and move my bags down to lobby before noon to catch my flight. Then I saw the chaos at lobby check out time. Many of the hotel guests were stuck in the small reception area, may be due to check out time.
DawSandar Aung (Mgr) and U KyawMyint (owner) please review your HOTEL K HOSPITALITY POLICY. The utmost important thing is the safety of your guest. If you really want $$ paying customers in the future, treat your customers RIGHT.
