We just toured Myanmar and this is the worst hotel of our trip , very noisy there is club in the front of the hotel and they play disco music all night and the windows are single pain so it seems at some point that the music is literally in the room, small rooms and other than the Japanese restaurant mediocre...

We had a room on the fifth floor ,good view of the lake and the Royal Barge .The hotel was clean .The pool was clean and well cared for .Food was very good ,especially Rachel's Kitchen. Staff were very pleasant ,except for the breakfast manager .She never smiled, stopped her feet and did not seem to serve us or any other...

This is a nice and comfortable hotel, where you will feel at home. Located by the park, the ground floor rooms enjoy the advantage of beautiful sunrises. Rooms are spacious, nice and clean with all necessary amenities including velvet slippers. Breakfast is open buffet with a good variety of food, both eastern and western. Service is good. The hotel provides...

We had short stays (one night and two nights respectively) in this hotel during our visit to Myanmar in December 2016 and January 2017. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were large with a walk-in shower. The rooms did have a slight musty smell when we first entered, though this became less noticeable after a couple of hours. I...

The Kandawgyi Palace Hotel was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety. Our room, on the 5th floor, had a view of the Shwedegan in the distance - very cool! There was no fitness center, so we went running around Kandawgyi Lake. This was challenging with the uneven sidewalks and treacherous boardwalks. The pool is small and...

Worth five burmese stars - nice building with modern burmese/asian interior and connecting balconys, garden and pool area. Normal size room with a very comfortable bed. Fast internet. After a great breakfast we had a nice walk around the nextby lake and a view of Schwedagon in the back. Don't order the créme brullet.

Stayed for three nights whilst visiting all the usual sights in Rangoon. A joy to return after a hot, dusty, dirty day out to calm, cool and welcoming people. Staff lovely and room comfortable. Great view of lake, spacious room, tea making kettle and good bathroom with both shower and bath. Tasty breakfast starts the day well. Bed comfy. Shame...

We booked two nights here for $420 (USD), so would expect a reasonably high standard of accommodation, but unfortunately was left disappointed. Our room was a ground floor room 103, with a view of the rear garden. (I should clarify I also stayed at the nearby Esperado for 2 nights a few weeks beforehand, and had a larger, nicer room...

Seriously, a two night stay with one wedding one each night of our stay. This is a hotel which is clearly willing to put revenue over guest comfort. The problem the Kandawagi Palace hotel has with hosting weddings is that the venue is right next to the pool (so you feel rather put out with the wedding prep going on...
