Hotel have been upgraded. Helpful Staff. English Speaking. Good wifi. Amenities nearby. Very flexible and staff at your service at all times. Value for money. Have stayed there a few times there but this was my best stay.

We stayed at this hotel twice when visiting Myanmar. The first time we got a room which was in quite bad condition on a lower floor, it was old, dirty and cramped. The second time we got a very spacious room which was very modern and nice on a higher floor. We met one of the owners of the hotel who explained that they were renovating the rooms starting from the top floor rooms to the bottom ones. Providing that the renovation is complete on all floors I recommend MGM. There is also breakfast on the 3rd floor which consists of toast, butter, jam, egg, banana, juice and tea or coffee The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was well situated with many restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a corner shop nearby with many products to buy from. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the MGM Hotel.

Stayed 4nights, we're hotelier background.
Hotel on renovation (u can imagine the outlook), front desk very helpful, Room very spacious, clean, blanket comfy (based on experience in Yangon in n out), the room we got have a double n single bed, bathroom good for Yangon n got hot n cold water (worth value). Next door is a very very nice Resto (Doreen) in front banks n ATM, it's a good location (Yangon not big) .. All I can say it's a good value for bussines trip (never in the room).

Just a regular hotel, neither bad nor good. Our room was on 10 the floor. It was nice and big, relatively new and clean. The breakfast is served on the 3rd floor, where few separate rooms were used to serve breakfast. These rooms were old, dark and creepy. Breakfast was buffet, but not of high standard and poorly refilled. The staff is helpful and friendly. I would try to find another hotel next time I'm in Yangon.

I've had a decent stay here, the room was clean, with a lot of facillities for a good price.

The internet worked pretty well, I mean the computer at the breakfastroom. Breakfast was very good too, a buffet including a lot of choises.

It's been one of my best stays during my travels in Asia and my most expensive stay, but that's because it's kind of hard to book in advance for Yangon.

Staff is very kind if you're kind to them!

Value for money so you know what I mean. I booked this hotel for a group of 22 of us who cam to Yangon for NGO work - thus budget was a concern. The rooms at the renovated floors (10 floor especially) was done nice and the other floors had a remnant of makeovers here and there. This is NOT a 5 star BUT this was VALUE for money.
The owner and staff were accommodating to my groups request and the location for eateries and even chinatown was just minutes walk away.
I can't complain for the value we paid.

We paid USD 51 per night including a buffet breakfast. The room had one double bed and 2 single beds, a washroom and a small sitting area, and mini fridge. The hotel provided 1 bottle water per person per day, but were generous enough to give us more on request. The room was airconditioned, even though it did not work very well. The breakfast was a great spread of food, fruits, juice, coffee, tea and was unlimited. The staff were very friendly and arranged for tours, taxis, directions etc. including negotiating with taxis for the price and providing them directions in their local language.

My first visit to Myanmar (a wonderful tourist destination) got off to a disappointing start with my stay at this hotel. The check-in area was dirty and untidy. I was dealt with by a couple of scruffy youths in stained t-shirts who only seemed interested in getting payment for the room and informing me that there would be a 3% surcharge for using my Visa Card. My room was on the top floor which had recently been refurbished and was quite smart (unlike the rest of the hotel). To be fair the room was fine - large newly decorated and with quiet and efficient A/C. There was a large TV with a decent selection of channels. Things went downhill the next morning when I arrived in the breakfast room. The room had no windows or A/C. It was dank and unpleasant. The breakfast was unappetising and not helped by the fact that the kitchen smells wafted across the corridor into the room as there appeared to be no kitchen door! The WiFi was slow though this is a country wide problem. On check-out the same youths were fast asleep at the reception desk with their feet on it!! Cannot recommend this property as the staff are very unprofessional in both appearance and demeanour, and the hotel itself is grossly overpriced for the meagre facilities it offers.

Hi booked this place thinking that was the "less worst" because i couldnt find anything else at this price on internet for Yangon, and i had a big surprise. Hotel was quite good. Rooms were big and nice. Staff was incredible kind specially the manager who answered all our request kindly and were not easy at all. We had a great time in MGM. Is true that is a bit noisy but only must be worried about it people that need full silence to sleep, at least the room we had, the noise was not bad at all.

A good Budget Hotel with a reasonable restraunant.

Our floor is due for renovation, do not take your female partners though, you will actually be moved.

Reception staff were excellent, lift was a little spasmodic, breakfast quite good.
