Having just returned from Burma, we were lucky to stay two nights at the Alamanda Inn - once at the beginning and once at the end of our trip. This is really a calm retreat from the city and the highlight for us was the outside restaurant - a beautiful shady pavilion serving delicious food. Only 10 minutes cab ride...

Alamanda Inn is a respite of calm, civilization and warmth. I LOVED the people of Myanmar, however the accomodations are still playing "catch-up" as entrepreneurs and the government scramble to build much needed tourism infrastructure. Lucky for us, these two lovely French ladies have built a beautiful B&B, trained their dedicated staff well, and provide a very personal welcome. This...

I found Alamanda Inn by chance while searching the internet and was very pleased with the choice. For a small place, the cleanliness is excellent and the food great - good breakfasts and French food for dinner. It is a lovely relaxing place to return to after a busy day downtown. I stayed in the downstairs room and was pleased to...

This place is fabulous. Too fabulous as we could not find a single night available during our 10 days stay in Yangon and were only able to pay a day visit. Great garden in the most quiet environment of the city, away from the pollution of downtown. Next time, I will make sure I book in advance!

We have just stayed at Alamanda Inn for two nights and will be going back for our last night in Burma. Really enjoyed our stay. Food is excellent and the breakfast is fantastic especially the Swiss muesli. We had the room pictured above. It was very quiet. The mozzie net was especially handy as there are plenty of them. The...

It was my second time in Alamanda, and it was a pleasure to meet the owners again. The tropical garden has grown to be enchanting and there is now a new room, with a private patio! Compared to the first time I came to Yangon, there was a lot of tourists in the center of the town, crowdy and noisy,...

Since we arrived in the late afternoon and had to leave the next morning at 5am to the airport, we booked this cheap place, just to relax a few hours. Clean rooms, nice Owners. Excellent but a bit expensive 'Tajine' . No real breakfast because we where leaving to early.. Just remember that you are in a guest house level...

Lovely French restaurant in calm green surroundings. Helpful staff and 4000 taxi ride to city centre. Stayed on the garden room separate from the main house with mosquito nets air con and plenty of hot water. Relaxed check in and out times and busy bar/restaurant on site. Breakfast one of the best in Myanmar!

Very chic. I just love the taste. Each room is huge and has high ceiling, but no TV, fridge. I don’t think they have a single room, so I was assigned a room that would be most suitable for solo traveler. Unfortunately the room faces restaurant on the ground floor, so you might have to keep curtain closed for privacy....
