Security man just outside the door wanted money because he carried 1 luggage (3 kg) up to 4 steps, i just laugh and i didn't answer. We paid to much and wasn't a respectful standard of South east Asia hostels. 30.000 kyat (more then 30 AUD) for a double room with shared bathroom, something crazy. Not a clean place (room... More

Terrible place. Stayed there many years ago and it was fine. but it has gone downhill a lot. We arrived late and were made to stand in the lobby for about 15 minutes while the workers tried to figure out that we had already paid when we booked our room on Agoda. When I finally yelled at them long enough... More

Being a frequent traveller makes you realize that there are certain standards you look for in your travel accommodations. Unfortunately, the Sunflower Hotel does not meet my personal standards. The hotel is old and is located in a busy, noisy part of Yangon. There is no elevator so you need to climb a flight of stairs to get to your... More

Value for money. Hotel owned by a Muslim. So, halal foods served at the hotel. Close to city attractions. Stayed for 2 nights, not consecutively. First night got a room that was very small with shared bathroom. Bathroom was clean. Second time, I got a bigger room. Helpful staff. Hotel is located in a busy corner of the city, can... More

Firstly, this review is for the Sunflower Hotel in downtown Yangon near Scott Market. NOT their other establishment, the Sunflower Inn. They also have a hotel called Mayflower (I think) that is opposite to the Sunflower Hotel and down a small road. Anyway, I think this hotel is acceptable for the price ($23 for a twin-share room with outside bathroom)... More

a room with 2 single beds costed me USD $ 20 for a night. toilet located outside and its a sharing toilet. Not so clean toilet but good enough since i was staying only for 1 night. FREE wifi and FREE breakfast. Excellent choice of local or western breakfast from the menu provided. wifi is very reliable, strong signal. I... More

We wanted to stay at sunflower hotel, but since it was full we were sent to their sister hotel sunflower inn. For 23$ it was not good value for money. The room was small, the bed not nice, no breakfast, terrible wifi and you shared the bathroom (squatting toilet only). For 10$ it would have been fine, but 23$ is... More

Lonely Planets last Myanmar edition made this place sound rather like a bit of a backpacker dive. I didn't see any of the cheaper rooms, but my $20 a night room was very agreeable (bathroom outside) . For this price I got a large room with TV, fridge and some toiletries thrown in. Most of all the staff here are... More

The people who own this hotel also own Sunflower Inn, where we started for 2 nights in Jan. Would not recommend as we paid $30 through Oway for a twin with shared bathroom. Fire exits were locked, toilets were squat toilets and English was limited. Very expensive for not a lot

This hotel is located in the Indian part of Yangon, very close to bogyoke market. It's a good location to explore the market, as well as to get to Sule Pagoda. There are also many restaurants close by, mainly local & indian food, but there are a few upmarket cafes like Bar Boon as well. The problem with the location... More

“Floor 5/6 are the Standard rooms ($20), room 606 was my favorite (double check that it is the corner room), with balcony overlooking the intersection. No TV. 507 is a bit of a makeshift room, small but cozy. The inside rooms have no windows (like 506/505). 506 needs to be refurnished but spacious and TV.”
