I lived at May Fair Inn in January 2013. It is located in heart of Yangon, and prices are so reasonable in pricey Yangon . People are so friendly at MayFair. Please note that May Fair Inn is located in No.57, 38th Street, Yangon , Myanmar. Address that written on the review is wrong. Again, May Fair Inn is located...

We paid $24 for a double; no breakfast. The lobby is esp. nice with comfortable chairs; I liked that the street was very quiet and green, only a block from much busier streets. Husband and wife are pretty nice. No wifi or restaurant here now.

Mayfair We arrived here just before 8pm to a really impressive lobby, restaurant area. The man told me he had no single rooms, I told him a twin was fine as my Friend was in the taxi, we took the room as we were exhausted after a long journey, the price included breakfast, when we enquired about breakfast time, the...

Mayfair Inn was (relatively) clean, quiet and close to the main sites in downtown Yangon, but don't expect much more. The twin room on the first floor was $24 (which was not cheap!), had a very small en-suite (with hot water) and an effective air con unit. The Lonely Planet informed us that breakfast was included, but on arrival we...

This hostel is so quiet, it has a bit the feel of a retirement home. The floors, walls and bathrooms are clean, but the laundry (towels and bedsheets) could be done a bit better. A sign at the reception tells the visitor that bus tickets can be arranged, but I think the old man had no idea what to do,...

The place was quite clean and comfortable, and near to the main street (the food and all). My friend did suffer quite a few bites through the night though (I had none). A good value for money. July 2011 Nicolette

I booked a single room well in advance of arriving in Yangon. Every other guesthouse I've patronised, even *without* pre-booking, has always charged me a single-room price whether or not there were two beds in the room. With Mayfair, this was not the case - they upgraded me from their overpriced single room fee of $15 US to $24 US....

Though it is true that the rooms might be good value for money, the owner is so unfriendly, so greedy and so arrogant, that I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Hard to believe that LP recommends this place... Marie G. Quebec

The hotel is in a quiet street, one block from the Strand hotel, this is well located for the city center and the ferry to Dagan. The rooms are good value for money, with hot shower, airco, adequate space and fan. The staff was among the least friendly and accommodating we have experienced in Myanmar. The hotel door is closed...

Stayed here my first night in Yangon as everywhere else was fully booked.I followed two others from the same flight to see if they got a room for me too . And they had a free room but had to share it with another traveler who didn't get to put in a extra bed with his friends. It was late...
