The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the airport. The room was big with a big bathroom. The halls all have a funny smell which I can’t describe. We sat by the pool for a little while but although there are 7 sun beds, there are only 5 cushions so we had to sit on them without, very uncomfortable as they’re wooden. The towels in the bathroom were pretty rough and the shower leaked water under the door. We were advised by our guide that the restaurant on site was not very good and she recommended one ten minutes walk away. The hotel was fine for a one night stay for an early morning flight, but I’m guessing there will be better ones nearby. A massive plus though was I left my Apple EarPods in the room and only realised upon getting to the airport. I rang the hotel and asked them if they could, which they did and found them. I arranged for my guide to collect them which they have done. Thanks for this

I stayed in Room 521 on 27 Dec 19. My flight to Bagan was early morning on the next day, so this hotel was the good solution. My room was clean with large bathroom. The reception woman was nice and helpful. The hotel provided breakfast box and complimentary transportation to the airport.

Stay here if you want to spend a comfortable night during your transit or to catch an early flight or to spend one night for your late arrival. Fast check in and check out. Flawless arrangement for complimentary airport drop in luxury car. Good food, breakfast buffet, comfy bed, swimming pool, in house restaurants, bar, Cafe, ATM and most Importantly proximity to Yangon international. Airport impressed me to give it a thumbs up.

We booked one night at Akore Myanmar Life Hotel. We just arrived from a 6 hour bus ride from Ngwesaung Beach. We only booked an overnight stay since we were flying to Bagan the next morning.

When we checked in, we were given room 522. As soon as we entered the room, we were hit with the strong odour of mildew. We noticed major black mold stains on the wall under the air conditioner.
I immediately notified the bellman that this was unacceptable and that I was going to speak with the front reception clerk.
When I explained to her that there was a strong odour and visible mold on the wall, she asked me to wait 10 minutes to check for an alternative room. So my wife and I decided to get a bite to eat in the hotel restaurant. We ordered a seafood and glass noodle salad, brown onion soup and burger and fries. Salad was way too spicy even though we asked the server for not too spicy.

I returned to the front desk and was offered a different room on the same floor. Room 525. Again, as soon as I opened the door, I was overwhelmed with the strong mildew smell.
When I returned to the front desk, I was offered to try room 525. Seriously? If 522 and 525 had a strong smell, then why bother trying a third room? That was it for me. We ended up booking another hotel. In the end, there's no way I am willing to accept a mouldy hotel room.

I highly recommend hotel management have an independent mould specialist examine some of the worst exposed rooms to determine mould spore contaminants and an action plan for removal.

There's lots of hotels available for travellers. Best to stay elsewhere until this health issue is resolved.

We wanted a short rest before our international flight, but this was an unpleasant experience all around. The room and bathroom were dated and had an unpleasant odour. The towels were literally threadbare and torn, the shower was stained with broken tiles. The Wifi did not work despite attempts by two staff members to help us. They just threw up their hands and told us that the connection worked on their devices!! The hotel has a small restaurant where we had a quick bite before our flight. We were the only ones there and the service was indifferent, at best. Luckily we only spent a few hours there. This hotel has nothing to recommend it other than distance to the airport. I'm sure there are better options! The hotel claims to be a 3 star property...no way!

Hi Akore Myanmar Life Hotel!

This is Jack Zaw Bo Bo. Who had visited a couple of last week, with my friends. The first things, I’m so impressed your compound and the Lobby area. Very huge and enough for the guests waiting area and free used the business center which has a long with lobby area. The location and the interior decor are made by Korea because of I asked to guest relation ships girl. All the amenities are support from Korea, so made 95% are Korea brand. Their outside pool is amazing with green field. The restaurant, very delicious foods ever whenever we’ve got the order. The breakfast is similar menu of 5 star in Yangon. I have to thought to write the review for them, but finally I did decided to write review for their goods point and it should be deserved for their reputation in near Yangon Airport. So, no need to worry airport flight time and no need take too long for your home come back from hotel but you need to worry for traffic junk that we’re be stayed at city center any hotel!!!! Just joke guys!!! I was get amazing things from Akore Myanmar Life Hotel Yangon which is near Yangon International Airport. May I recommend you if you want quiet place, huge compound, nice standard, pretty service and so on. Please just join to Akore Myanmar Life Hotel Yangon....

Good location, minutes from the airport. Reliable meet and greet, free shuttle, friendly efficient checkin and out, clean rooms with tea/coffee making etc. Big swimming pool. Reasonable breakfast buffet.
Staff are very good - at an airport hotel they must be processing hundreds of one-night stopovers but they manage to make the service very friendly and efficient.

For a couple of days yangon visit I would recommend a more city - central hotel, but for stopping-over or early leave, this hotel is an excellent choice as it is only a 5 minute trip to the airport by free shuttle service. It's all brand new, there's not much atmosphere in the spacious lobby and restaurant , but you got a modern room with good shower and aircon and bed, and - best of all - there's a large outdoors pool.
(staff: please replace the hard wooden benches by something more comfortable)
Tip: couple of minutes down the road (to the right) there's a " Parisian bakery " serving excellent coffee and cake's and a busy Myanmar restaurant.
