If you want the absolute best view of Shwedagon Pagoda at night then you must come to Sapphire Lounge. The lounge itself isn't anything fancy. But I love the atmosphere. It's like being on the roof top of a friends condo/apartment. It's a very chill atmosphere. People enjoying the view, the drinks and the company. I came for the view... More

My first night in yangon starts with this hotel, nice warm welcome. Best thing i found the nearest food corner (2 min walk). For a single traveler this hotel is good choice but not cost effective. It will not give you the luxury of living but can give you the view of Myanmar from its rooftop restaurant.

This hotel is situated 10mins away from Shwe Dagon Pagoda (north) by foot and Bogyoke Market (south) from the hotel. If you're the adventurous type, walking by foot up to China Town (15 street) is possible while absorbing the local culture along the way. There are eateries 2-3 minutes away from the hotel and convenience stores along the alley to... More

Room was neat, but a little dim. I noticed that there was something leaking in the toilet bowl's base but it wasn't really a big deal for me. The room was spacious. Breakfast was ok. Hotel's staff were friendly.

I was expecting much more from this hotel so I was disappointed a bit. Outside look is not offering very pleasant first impression. Lobby is small but I must say staff is really lovely and very helpful (what is an important point). But the space in the hotel is a bit claustrophobic (I even had feeling that ceiling is smaller... Overall, average hotel. Paid USD 110 per night inclusive of breakfast. Not much complain as hotel in Myanmar is very expensive. Upscale hotel such as Trader hotel or Park Royal Hotel is even more pricy. Stay in this hotel due to walking distance to exhibition location. 1. Rooms: Low ceiling, bed ok, very basic toiletries, wifi signal in room not... More

This hotel was very much in need of renovation. The standard of the rooms was about as low as the ceilings! The breakfast was also very poor. We certainly understand that we could not have expected the standard of the super expensive options, but there are better options for the price. The staff were lovely, although don't rely on the... The best thing about the Alfa Hotel is the staff who are very friendly and helpful. They are great. The second best thing is the location. Just on the edge of downtown and close to the Bogyoke Market. It's also very close to an excellent Shan noodle restaurant, on the next corner as you walk down Nawady Street. It's also... More

I stayed here one week for work and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a room where the wifi worked. It was much appreciated. Hotel was clean, super quiet with great bedding, and lovely staff. Some rooms are better than others, plumbing seems to have seen better days. Great location in lovely part of... More

Stayed at the Alfa Hotel for 5 nights. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. The hotel is in an excellent location and about a 15 minute walk to the Aung San Market. The hotel is a bit run down but other than that it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was... More
