We had a small very basic room with no window on the 4th floor. It was clean (but don't look too closely at the toilet!). I'm not sure what is on the floor above but it's very noisy, thankfully the noise stops at around 10pm....More
We checked in on 11 Nov night. On 12 Nov morning we left for the Schwedagon pagoda and left our belongings in the room. We brought with us our cameras, passports and money.
At 12pm we checked out and headed for Bagan. On the way...More
The room was small and clean and the sheets were comfortable. The a/c was strong and a welcome relief from the pollution outside though the toilet had a smell coming from it (which I got used to after a while). The breakfast is OK and...More
I actually stayed in Aung Si Guesthouse (aka Ocean Pearl II) as the main hotel was fully booked. At $20 it was the most expensive place I stayed in Myanmar and was definitely not the nicest but I felt much better about parting with my...More
After read the reviews here and also recommended by VT members, we decided to stay here on our budget trip to Yangon. Due to the expensive rate of accommodation in Yangon, this was the best I could find for the budget US$30 per night of...More

I don't know if this hotel monitors TripAdvisor for questions, but if you email them directly, they'll respond promptly to your questions. 5:15 pm arrival might be outside the free-pickup timeframe (we hadn't been aware it's only available during specific hours until after booking our airline tickets a little too late), but the airport is quite far from the center of town and a pretty chaotic scene -- once we arrived, we were immensely relieved about having booked the hotel transport -- way beyond worth the $10 extra. (And there are many places were I wouldn't say the same.) I recall that the wifi was excellent (other than that certain sites seemed blocked throughout Myanmar, like banking sites). We requested a room in back, so our window was smallish and not much of a view, but the room was quiet. I think the rooms facing the street in front would have better views, and things seemed to die out at a reasonable hour (not a big noisy party area or anything). But ask Mr. Kyaw directly - he can answer your questions better, and is eager to help. Enjoy your trip!
