Stayed in the Comfort Double Room on the 2nd level. The room is pretty clean and comfortable and came with a mini kitchen where one can cook and ensuite bathroom. There is also simple breakfast provided out the front at the common balcony which accessible to all guests and there is some ocean view from the balcony. The accommodation is located approx. 5 to 10 mins' walk to the centre where there's quite a lot of dinning option to choose from and also where there is a pretty big local market. The staff and host are friendly and will help with hailing really cheap local mini bus to the airport if required. Overall, a quiet and nice place to stay.

This accomodation was great for my week long stay in Port Vila. There is an electronic ceiling fan to keep the air cool and netting on the windows so I can open my window at night without the fear of getting bitten. There is a fridge and stove top in the room. Breakfast is included in the accomodation cost which is great for when you plan to explore all day - gives you a head start - and it is pretty decent, toast and toppings, cereal, freshly cut fruit. I asked for extra towels and toilet paper when I was there which was given without any issues. The best thing about this accomodation is definitely the location. A few minutes walk in multiple directions from a range of restaurants and only 5-10 minutes walk from the city along the water front, so it’s easy to explore and there are so many buses coming past that it isn’t hard to get around.

This basic hotel is all that is advertised. Clean, comfortable, included brekkie, good internet, great views from the large shared veranda. Quick walk to town and the share taxis to the airport are a quick walk down the hill.

Place a little on the shabby side but clean and comfortable. Lovely sunset view from veranda where you also have your breakfast. Easy 10 minute walk along coast to town or on the upper road. Small Chinese store over the hill and behind....a few minutes away. Lots of food places over by movie theater on main road. Can catch bus or taxi to airport from hotel gate. Free wifi. Helpful staff. Pay with cash only. Can book tours at Moorings hotel down at the bottom of hill on main road.

Port Vila is an expensive town with the 3/4 * hotels charging 5* prices and delivering 2/3* service. This hotel however does not pretend to be more than it is... budget accommodation for travellers in a good location that is clean and safe. Seraphine and her team work hard to help with any problems (changing light bulbs or drying clothes). The kitchenette has a gas hob, fridge (which you’ll want to turn off at night coz it’s noisy!) and a sink. The gas bottle feeds both hub and shower but you physically have to turn it on for hot water and hob. Remember to turn it off before you go to sleep. The rooms are well ventilated but still. The beds are hard but I’m used to that and they should really invest in some new linen given the high turnover of guests. It is washed but it’s definitely showing it’s age. It is also very noisy early morning and evenings with the main road nearby (plus side is it’s very easy to walk/ get a bus into town centre). Tip: You will need your own mosquito coils/ spray. Although the room are screened I got 30 bites on my arm on the first night as I hadn’t had a chance to get to a shop to buy some. It would be nice if they provided a can of mortstein in each room. It happens in the tropics but could’ve been avoided. It says they will organise airport transfers but it didn’t happen. It’s 1500vatu from the airport in a taxi so just pick one up when you arrive. The WiFi is a massive plus and works well sitting out on the balcony watching the world go by. Overall best value place I found in Vila if you’re willing to put up with less than perfect surroundings!

I stayed in this place for three nights. Rooms are clean and tidy, beds are good. There is hot shower and free wifi. Best is the terrace overlooking the lagoon. You can sit there anytime and enjoy the view, the shade and the breeze. This is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast is ok with a choice of white bread, cereals, and some fruits. If you are looking for some treat, then Le fournil de Vila, an excellent French bakery, is only a 5-minute walk from the guesthouse. You'll be able to find some excellent bread and viennoiseries there. Room with a view is not really downtown but it is generally quiet and a short walking distance to the center (about 10 minutes). There are two nice restaurants in the neighborhood: a Thai restaurant just 100m far from the guesthouse and Au Fare on the main road (a nice French restaurant). The owner of Room with a view is nice and helpful.

This is a convenient location for the airport, but I would not stay there again. I stayed for two separate overnights while waiting for flights , with a few days in between. The first night was a weeknight. I hoped for a hot shower, but couldn’t get it to work. When I queried this, the young woman in charge showed me that I had to turn on a gas tap that was in the kitchenette, but I couldn’t be bothered by this time, and went to sleep on the very hard bed. When I came back the second time, I tried the shower, same room, as I had been shown, but it still didn’t work. The concierge came and tried and got a new battery, but it still was cold, so that was that. I suspect it hadn’t worked for some time, but no one had bothered complaining. It was a friday this time and the noise from the music from the bars down below went on pretty late and the traffic noise was pretty bad too. I was leaving at 5 am and the gate was locked. No instructions had been given the night before, so I just had to go and bang on the concierge’s door until she got up. There were others who were up and leaving about the same time as me. It was clean, walking distance to town, and convenient for the airport, but for cold showers and a hard bed, I am sure there were other cheap options. It does have a view.

The building is beautiful wit a large veranda overlooking the sea and sunset. It’s a 15 minute walk to the centre and you can walk the whole way along the sea. There are a few restaurants nearby from which we liked Banyan beach bar at most. The room we had had a VERY hard mattress and a bit outdated bathroom. There was a gas stove which we didn’t use in a little kitchenette. Air conditioning work not very well but was ok. Breakfast was included with bread, jam, coffee/tea and fresh fruit with a juice. The staff was very friendly. In total we paid VAT6800 (€53) per night for a double room which was pretty much for what you get.

Only 10 mins walking to the Central Market, or 20 mins if you adjust to the Vanuatuan relaxed pace 😊 Staff is really friendly and work hard to keep the place spotless. Nearby are a few restaurants, and there are some great bars at the waterfront. I also liked the kitchen in the room, used it once to cook me a juicy local steak. Recommended!

Arrived to a locked gate When I rang it took a few minutes for someone to come out of the darkness to greet me I was escorted to a dark room and asked to pay cash as credit card wasn't taken To top it off they didn't even know the number for a taxi to pick me up in the morning for a early flight Don't go even at $71 per night it's very expensive for what it is and believe me it's terrible I rarely bag hotels like this but this is a hole
