We were so impressed with our recent stay. Having previously stayed 7 years ago we we were eager to stay again with our 4 children. We stayed in the Penthouse which was a great size for our family. The complex has such a great layout - breakfast on the deck whilst the kids played on the beach. Our included breakfast was always delicious. The prices for the other meals and drinks were cheaper than Australian pricing. The complex is just a short stroll to the beach bar. If you're there Friday night the fire show was amazing! A special shout out to Juliet and Nanny Solemae ( I'm not sure I spelt that right, sorry!) and driver Carol, they were always so accommodating and patient. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

We had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights (should have been 4 but due to air Vanuatu cancellations was only 3) We had a 2 bedroom pool view room and for our family of 2 adults and 2 children it was great. Staff are fantastic, can’t say enough about them. They definitely make your stay extra special. Yes like previously stated in another review , there is a bit of stuff that is outdated or a couple of broken things, But does that affect your stay at all, No not at all. The included breakfast was good, bread is made on site therefore toast was delicious as was the banana bread. If you are expecting a big flash resort then this is not the place for you but if you want somewhere with a smaller amount of guests, fantastic staff and everything you need to have an enjoyable stay then you should definitely consider Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments. We will definitely be back.

Firstly the staff are lovely and from the local village and do anything and everything to help but unfortunately they can’t help what they don’t have control over. Apart from the amazing staff, this place was unlike anything we’ve stayed at before and first time I’ve ever left a review like this but considering I picked this place on all the great reviews previously left I felt I need to be honest as none of this has been mentioned. It was a complete nightmare from start to leaving early to get home. The pictures and advertisements are not what you get. The whole premises is very outdated and run down. Paid for ocean view room and as you can see in attached photo it’s a stretch at that. Several broken things and stains/cracks throughout the whole villa and complex. Just to name a few… No bikes as advertised. They were broken. Dryer didn’t work. Brown water from shower. Pool deck chairs are wooden and broken. Given mouldy thin sponge to go on top to cover it. Pool and bath towels are all stained and holes. They smell bad and feel like sand paper. Pool was so murky you can’t see bottom and much smaller than looks in photos. Pool decking and surrounding furniture worn and faded unlike the advertised pictures. Next door neighbours play music from 5am till late at night. Villas are very dark and not much lighting. Meals are very expensive for what you get and fair way away from nearest town.

After a failed attempt to visit Vanuatu earlier in the year, I finally got to stay for 4 nights at this lovely accommodation. It was close to where family members were staying but in my opinion, I was the winner. Establishment is out of Vila but set beachfront on a crescent of sand which at the time I went was almost deserted. 5 minutes walk to the jetty that will take you to Hideaway Island if you would like to spend some time there to snorkel or SCUBA. Also, buses are readily available at the jetty to take you wherever you'd like to go - supermarket or into Vila. The staff at Beachfront are amazing! Friendly, happy and always ready to help out. True hospitality. I loved my chats with them. Beachfront is a small no-frills apartment complex which is kept beautifully clean and where things work as they should. Beds and pillows are great. You have your own cooking facilities and seating area even in a studio and is a very comfortable place to stay. Push bikes can be borrowed if you'd like to cycle to the supermarket rather than take a bus but equally, you can walk. There is a bar and lovely food cooked on the premises to enjoy in your apartment or around the pool. The food is great and the home baked bread! Oh my goodness ... yum! I would definitely return and highly recommend if you are looking for a totally relaxing beach stay with no fuss but great hospitality.

My family and I just spent an amazing week (not long enough) at VBA. The staff are warm, welcoming, helpful and just go out of their way to ensure you have the best holiday. This small, family run resort is my absolute favourite, the rooms are lovely - everything you need. The beach is devine, long walks in the sand, swimming in calm, warm water. Kayaks and paddle boards are available. So many things are accessible from VBA - the beach bar with fire show is just down the beach, hideaway island is just across the bay. The on-site cafe has a menu of delicious goodies including yummy cocktails! You really do not need to go anywhere else, just arrive and relax. Thank you Juliette, Jacqui, Silvi, Pappi and Fred for an amazing holiday.

Enjoyed 9 nights here and hope to be back. I stayed solo in Santos (room 3) which would sleep up to 3 and has small kitchenette and microwave. Room clean and quiet (some rooster crowing and dogs barking for light sleepers) but the soothing sound of waves can be heard even though this isn't a beach facing room. Transfers to and from airport and a light breakfast were included. Staying here gives you options to do as much or as little as you like. Walk along the beach, take the regular boat to Hideaway Island, $25AUD on arrival to snorkel, bring your reef shoes, Fire show is at Beach Bar on a Friday, take a local B-Bus at end of street to Port Vila, visit the Mamma markets. I loved the Blue Lagoon. Consider looking at tide times (aiming for high tide late morning) for snorkelling. Damien and Juliet put a lovely island dinner on for guests with a band on our 2nd night. Bonus to be there for Melanesian Festival and Children's Day. Lovely to meet Sylvie and her family. I enjoyed water colour painting and have so many wonderful photos for future works.

We stayed for a week and over all are very happy with our stay. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. Location is perfect right on the beach and with amazing views of the sunset from the deck. Our 2 bedroom apartment was a great size and had a well equipped kitchen to make cooking easy. This also saves money as eating out all the time can be costly. Housekeeping daily if you would like it. All the staff are more then helpful with things around the grounds or knowledge of things to do and see. We were lucky to be taken through the local village and hand out lollypops and school supplies to some of the local children. We used Karol a few times for easy and fast trips into town and back. Later at night when a local bus can be harder to get this is a great bonus. The breakfast that is included was more than enough and has a good variety to choose from just needed to supply more spread with the toast as most mornings wasn’t enough to put on half the piece of toast. Made the time between checkout and leaving for the airport comfortable with the use of a shower so that we could make the most of our time and take 1 last swim and paddle board. Unfortunately we only ate here once as even though the food was tasty 2 chicken wings and a handful of chips for 1100VT isn’t enough to fill teenage boys and expensive. Be careful when taking out the kayaks as half of them have holes in them and start to sink. This could be very dangerous for non confident swimmers. Thank you to the staff for making our first trip to Vanuatu special.

Six of us have just returned from a 2 week stay at Beachfront Appartments this is the 3rd time that 4 of our group have stayed here and as usually we felt like part of the Family. We stayed in the Penthouse Appartment which was perfect for us .. The views over Mele Bay from the Balcony at sunset and sunrise are amazing. The Beach is perfect and a visit to the Beach Bar to watch the Fire Dancers is a must. A big thank you to Damien and all of the Staff. It was lovely to see your smiling faces despite the very hard times you've all had since our last visit in 2018 with Covid lockdown then Cyclones Kevin and Judy. Thanks to Julie , Jackie,Mel Lala for looking after us. Karol, thank you for for driving us around the Island and the trips into town Thank you to the two handymen who were always happy to come when we called "Help" Beachfront, like many Resorts in Vanuatu, is showing a few scars from Cyclones Kevin and Judy but they have worked hard to get things up and running again..

Mama Juliet and her team will really take care of you at this small set of apartments. We had room 4 which led straight out to the pool which stepped down on to Mele Bay. It is a home away from home. The apartment is a bit tired and dark but has all you will need for your stay. They will arrange to pick you up from the airport at a reasonable price. Breakfast is very basic and consists of two menu choices and a drink. ie small yoghurt/cereal/toast with jam/peanut butter/marmite/banana bread. There is a bar by the pool so you can have a drink any time. Mama Juliet will cook you dinner as well if you wish. The burgers were delicious. Don't drink the water as it does not connect to the town water supply. You should have some bottled water supplied and there is a rain water tank you can help yourself to. There is an outdoor sofa, loungers and tables around the pool area. They have kayaks and paddle boards for use in the bay. Mele bay is murky but head over to Hideaway Island for snorkelling where they will charge you NZ$20 pp. The Beach Bar is open in the weekend and do prebook a table for dinner and the free fire show on a Friday. It is a fun night where the crowd gets into party mode. It is a short walk to the road where you can catch a bus into town. It is a 15 min ride with lots of potholes. If you want to rent a car, World Rentals will drop off a car for an extra fee. Number plate starts with B and is 200 vatu each way. There is a little stall down the beach if you want to buy souvenirs and we often saw locals enjoying the water and having fun too. It is perfect if you want a small intimate property, a beach basically to yourself and some local friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave.

VBA is a wonderful place to stay. That staff are super friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was lovely and the outdoor pool area is so relaxing. The appartments are conveniently located so close to The Beach Bar, Hideaway Island and Tanna Coffee. Buses run along the road constantly so getting into town is easy.
