We recently returned to stay at the Warwick’s Erakor Residence which was simply outstanding. The Residence is large and well suited to a family with two bedrooms separated by a beautifully decorated lounge room. The furnishings, decor, amenities, design are just perfect: two bedrooms, large lounge, dining area, study area, large storage areas, walk in wardrobe, spa, double sinks, huge outdoor verandah overlooking the ocean, grasses area for the kids to play, private pool, huge cabana next to the pool which leads directly into the shower after a swim. The thought that has gone into the design of this Residence sets it apart from many hotels worldwide. As a family, you will certainly appreciate the size and luxury of this Residence.

Wild Ginger offers incredibly tasty, fresh and beautifully presented food. Impeccable. Thank you Chef!

The morning buffet in the main restaurant has a lot on offer and is maintained so there is no shortage of food. The cleanliness standards are very high and much appreciated.

The pools are wonderful with a lot of space so you never feel like there are too many people. The landscaping and gardens are impeccable.

Housekeeping is outstanding - there was never a call to ask for replenishing of towels, ammenities etc. Their consistency in maintaining that high standard daily was certainly recognised and appreciated.

A very special mention to the General Manager, Mr Serhan, for outstanding customer service in all areas. Our family had an incredibly stay. A special mention too to Jeanette and Suniki (Wild Ginger). Both these ladies certainly understand hospitality and the importance of making a holiday that more memorable for guests. They were both friendly, sincere, informative, professional and incredibly welcoming. They are both an asset to your team.

A holiday at Warwick’s Erakor Residence is highly recommended. You will come away loving having stayed there which proves a great holiday was had.

Our room was 'Lagoon view' near the jetty. What an amazing view. Room had all we needed, it was serviced daily with great attention for detail and meticulous bed making. The pools(3 Adult) and surrounding areas were always kept in pristine condition by the groundsmen. Amenities were clean and tidy, even down to fresh floral display daily. Our days could be spent relaxing at the Warwick or adventuring around the island. It was nice to slow down our 'Aussie Pace' and take time to smell the roses, so to speak. Help from the staff was never a bother and staff were always smiling. The Warwick offered lots of FREE activities facilitated by the staff and evening entertainment by outside entertainers. I could not fault any of the food or drinks (reasonably priced) and cannot wait to go back again. Do a daily room account check as sometimes a room number may not have been written clearly and may end up on your account. The staff check the dockets and sort it out immediately, no problem.

My husband and I recently took our two boys (toddler and baby) to the Warwick and highly recommend it! We had a fantastic time and wish we could return sooner!

The resort is lovely. We were spoilt by choice with five pools, which catered for all of us. While visiting outside peak time made it easier to keep an eye on our active toddler the service was second to none.

We had a lagoon view room and it was lovely. Excellent service each day and perfect for a small family or group.

The food and beverage selections were great. Two restaurants to choose from when we were there, both with excellent menus. While I’m sure you could find cheaper it was still fairly reasonable given the quality. You could prob bring in own food and drink if you could be bothered or if your room has self contain facilities but for a luxury resort we found it all more than reasonable. The restaurant on the island in the lagoon is a must as well, with the ferry wharf easy to access.

Wi Fi isn’t great so load up content if you need it for little ones. In saying that, was nice to be ‘off the grid’.

We ventured into the ‘main street’ closest to the resort which was an eye opener. Not much to see other than a strip of souvenir stores and the 24hr market. A little chaotic with a toddler and pram but worth the quick trip to experience a local perspective. There is a small super market for basic needs as well. Cabs and shuttles are everywhere but the hotel have cabs on site you can ask to come back if need be.

Most of all, the staff were absolutely fantastic! Such personal service and such friendly people. The lovely ladies at the restaurant we went to the most knew our boys’ names after the first visit and treated us all so well. Felt more than thankful when they took our little one for cuddles while we had dinner too.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a garden view, the room was nice enough with a lovely view out to the lagoon.
The food was terrible the service was terrible and all overpriced.
The lack of service to what you pay is unbelievable, there would be at least 3 staff behind the bar and no one wanted to serve I would stand and wait until someone got sick of seeing me stand there.
We ordered food on many occasions and would sit and watch them walk around the pools asking if anyone ordered the food until it got to us, it was cold.
NYE the closed down all bars and food venues without telling guests this would be happening leaving us with 3 options 1 pay $585 for a family of 4 for the themed buffet 2 pay for a very expensive restaurant ( Wild Ginger ) or 3 eat and drink nothing we chose option 3, they had to honor kids eat free so they put on a very small Buffet with biggest chips a couple of deserts and salad we asked how much for adults to eat and they made the price up in the spot and wanted to charge $ 35 per adult.
The location does not have white sand beach it is a retaining wall and the water close up to the retaining wall is filthy with plastic and waste.
We canoed over to the island and it was was lovely that we wished we’d stayed there.
Overall very disappointed and heartbreaking when you save all year for a family holiday.
Do not recommend at all.

I find this review difficult to write. Especially after reading the other reviews. Did I stay in the same place or am I super critical. The Warwick is a beautiful resort with stunning pools. Check in was effortless and the welcome drink much needed. We were lucky to be upgraded to lagoon view. The rooms definitely need updating and after speaking with the MD understand that the new furniture has already been ordered. If you stay in room 112 be aware the toilet moves! Housekeeping staff were great. When guests say you are on island time, believe it. Slow serving staff, especially in the pool bar even when you were the only one there. One night a supervisor was at the bar and did everyone move, even run. The nightly entertainment was great. Water sports: we loved using the catamaran. But there was only one in operation with the other two unavailable due to needing repairs. We were told one day that the tide was out making it too shallow to use but within 15 minutes someone else was out there with no noticeable difference to water level. It was disconcerting to walk to our room for three days still noticing that plates, cutlery and wine glasses were not moved from outside the housekeeping shed. And an empty large cardboard box was sitting next to the garbage bin in the rain for two days. We ate at the resort most days and I have to admit that the food was excellent but be aware very expensive. Teppanyaki was great, the steak melted in your mouth but we didn’t appreciate seeing the chef run his finger around a bowl and lick it! Breakfast was plentiful and there was something for everyone. Decent coffee was an issue. You paid a large extra sum of money for a coffee that was served in small cups, 4 sips at most and a small biscuit would have been welcome. For a 4 star resort I would think they would have had a proper cafe serving cakes, sandwiches etc. Having said all this, the resort is beautiful, staff friendly and welcoming. The grounds are extremely well kept but .......

As soon as we arrived at Warwick Le lagon, we were welcomed and treated like royalty. We were greated with complimentary cold Drinks and a group of locals singing and playing island drums and Ukulele's welcoming us.
Check in was a breeze (the staff speak several languages) and we were promply taken to our room by a Porter on a cart/buggy. The room was spacious and Very clean, also we were 5-10 meters from the water. There are 3 large pools plus a spar pool and a toddler pool, one of the big ones has a swim up bar. The cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced. The staff throughout the resort are friendly and helpful. The Food was Wow! the best food I have eaten in port vila, Well done to the Executive Chef "Som Thapa" for running a profesional crew and having a brilliant menu. The breakfast buffet rivals some of the best hotels in Australia IMO.
Housekeeping do an amazing job also our room was serviced daily and felt like we were arriving for the first time each time we came back from our morning out.
They also have a kids club available, which the kids loved.
All in all I felt nothing was to hard for the staff at Le Lagon and they did their very best to please us and make us feel welcomed our entire stay. Would recomend 100%

Stayed with my wife for a couples getaway for 3 nights. Upon our arrival, the resort is quite stunning with palm trees in abundance across an open, beautiful landscape. The checkin process was quick and efficient and we were taken to our rooms. However, we were surprised that there was a charge to access wifi which we paid 5000VT around ($60AUD). For a top resort like this one, we felt the wifi should’ve been included.

Our room was small, cosy and tidy. The wifi was really inconsistent and often cut out. We also had access to a few familiar channels including fox sports.

The resort itself has stunning views all across the resort including from our room. I really enjoyed walking along the shoreline just outside my room each morning and seeing the starfish and fish swim through the clear water. The pools were well kept and heated so we were able to utilise them even with much of the wet weather we experienced. The poolside bar was also great with a great selection of drinks. The gym was also small but had enough to have a decent workout.

The best part of the resort is the friendliness shown by all staff here ranging from the front reception, bartenders and cleaners. Everyone was always smiling and saying hello each time we walked past which we really enjoyed. The front desk staff were always helpful and assisted us with the tours we had booked for our trip.

There were a few downsides we experienced however. Considering we had to pay for wifi, it was really inconsistent for most of our stay, especially in our room. We also had two blackouts in our room which took a while to fix as maintenance staff are only available from 8am. There also isn’t a huge variety of food within the resort and the two main options were really dear. We would have loved for more variety available in perhaps a bistro style with some local cuisine? We ordered the pizza from the lobby one day and it wasn’t great. It was quite undercooked with an overload of cheese.

The hotel also offered money exchange but they only offered around 70VT for every $1AUD which was quite low.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would’ve have scored higher if we didn’t experience the inconsistencies I mentioned above as it’s a stunning resort with wonderful people.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff were amazing, made the effort to remember my name from day 1 and made sure to help me with anything I needed. Food was amazing, especially the dinner options. The room was extremely clean and got cleaned every day. A large pool with smaller pool options as well. I would recommend this resort to any type of guest, being families with small kids or couples wanting to get away.

The location was perfect being on the lagoon which we swam in and kayak in as well as being a 5 minute taxi/bus ride to town.

Will definitely be coming back again with my friends and family.

We stayed here for 8 nights and first impressions were very good. Staff are extremely friendly as seems to be the way with all Ni-Vans. Always have a smile on their face. The resort itself is generally quite lovely however it is quite tired and requires a fair bit of maintenance (missing and broken pool tiles, broken lights, damaged bathroom sinks, toilet door wont close in room etc) however not something that affects stuff too much. The view from the pool more than makes up for these things.

Service at pool bar and restaurants was generally good but at times extremely slow and sometimes had to ask 2 or 3 times for something you had ordered as seemed to be forgotten. I put this down to "Island time" but does get a bit frustrating eventually. Another thing to watch closely is what drinks and food you sign for at the pool bar as extra items were placed on the tab and had to be removed so always check it. Food is generally good. Wild ginger delicious and breakfast has a great selection and tasty.

The lagoon view rooms have a great view and maybe better for that than paying extra for a garden view bungalow.

We had a lovely time and the resort was generally good.

We recently stayed at the Warwick Le Lagon Resort in vanuatu and couldn’t be more relaxed on our return home. The water front and garden bures are spacious and immaculate. They are in an excellent location for the pool, water sports and the bars and restaurants within the resort. The location of the resort is also fantastic as it is only a quick bus or taxi into town which is very reasonably priced. The resort is exceptionally clean and well maintained.

The variety and number of water sports was fantastic and we never had to wait or come back to take one out. Just out front of the resort is amazing snorkeling. We saw stunning fish swimming around the reefs and some sections were shallow enough to view from the kayak. It’s a good idea to take reef shoes on your trip if you plan on water sports and kayaking as we did spot a few sea urchins among the incredible array of marine life.

The Mediterranean buffet at the lagoon Terrace was to die for. Our absolute favorite meal. The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. There was something for everyone. The breakfast buffet also had an excellent range of food.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful both in the restaurants and at reception and around the pool. The general manager was always present and incredibly helpful and friendly.

We will definitely be back.

There was plenty of transport available and we didn’t have trouble with anything we booked. We stayed in a Lagoon Bungalow, I can’t comment on the other rooms. Our room was lovely, right on the water with a king bed and two singles for the kids with a dividing wall between. Some of the negative comments are valid, things there are very different to what you would expect staying in a resort in Australia, probably depends on your perspective. We enjoyed the stay however and would go again.

It all depends if you plan to have all meals at the hotel as there are pretty good restaurants out there as well and charge almost as much as the the resort, also giving you an opportunity to explore the island…there is Seafood Bar & Grill or Stone Grill or across the island by ferry to Erakor. Maybe a drinks package might be a better idea. Cocktails around Aud $20, Tusker beer $8, spirits from $13. Hope this helps.
