As first time visitors to Vanuatu, my partner and I were unsure of what to expect. However even before we arrived, the staff at Nasama Resort made us feel welcome by helping out with bus transfers and pre-arrival information. The rooms themselves are incredibly clean and spacious, and all have fantastic access to the pool and provate beach. The design of the complex means that you never feel like you're intruded or overlooked, and the limited number of rooms means that the hotel maintains an acceptable level of noise. The attached Cafe Vila does great food, but isn't cheap. There is also a bar which was decent but never seemed to have anyone in it, so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. It certainly helped that our room contained a well-equipped kitchen so we could self cater. The town centre and supermarkets are a 5 minute bus ride away, but this in no way detracted from our enjoyment at Nasama. There is a small convenience store opposite the hotel for any essentials. The pool area is very well designed, but it's the private beach which was the highlight for me. It never felt crowded, and there were always umbrellas and lounges available when we needed them. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Hello Pietrocosenza, Thank you so much for your awesome 5-star review! We appreciate the informative detail in your review and your recommendation to other travellers. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your accommodation, the pool and especially the beach. We also pleased to hear that you had great meals at Café Vila. We do try to keep prices reasonable – and they are actually less than similar waiter service restaurants in Australia. However, as an island nation, most of our food and alcohol has to be imported which incur heavy Vanuatu customs duties and taxes. We do have a second restaurant opening soon called Three Pigs. It has a very different concept to Café Vila as it will be semi self-service focusing on top quality pizzas, hamburgers and tacos and a bar scene. We hope to welcome you back very soon to Nasama Resort, Café Vila and Three Pigs! Best regards, Frances

Having a week away with the family (2 adults, 2 kids 11 & 13) at Nasama was the perfect mix of pool, beach for snorkeling, large unit, being able to self cater or go out to eat with access to transport to get around.

The resort was lovely and quite (out of school holidays) so felt like we had our own private pool. Our 2 bedroom unit was large and very clean, we were offered a serviced daily which we didn't expect, and was done on the days we were out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in the resort, reception and cafe. We used the kayaks to paddled over to the other island and up to the Warrick resort to snorkel and explore. Loved being able to borrow Scrabble and connect 4 to play with the family in our room.

We caught a local van to town to buy groceries on the first day and loved the option of being able to cook a few meals in our room or use the BBQ. We ate out a few times at the local restaurant Cafe Villa, it was an easy option for meals and drinks at the end of the day.

Once I got my head around using a local vans to get around it was easy. We found a great local driver (I can recommend Charlie on 733 5453) he looked after us taking us on 2 trips, one day up to Blue lagoon, beach and falls and another day to the other side of the island to a beautiful snorkeling spot, he certainly wanted to give us a great experience to see the island, we learnt how to crack coconuts, bought from local fruit stalls and went to the local chocolate and coffee factory's.

Thanks Nasama hope to be back again!

Apartments are well presented with a well equipped kitchenette (full size fridge). Plenty of space and first floor rooms have a private balcony with table and chairs.

King size bed was very comfortable. Linen was good

Port Vila is easily accessed by local bus at 150 Vt per head.

Good pool for adults and a kid suitable pool separate. Sun lounges and umbrellas are round the pool.

Note there is no food or bar service at the pool but that helps with the relaxing atmosphere.

The attached restaurant and bar, Cafe Vila, has great food options but is not inexpensive. Still a good option for a meal after a busy day out.

The massage service, especially the hot rock, was great. They are done in a small hut down at the water.

In late September we returned to Nasama Resort for our 6th stay - that probably says it all!
Over the years we have checked out other accommodation but have continued to return to Nasama as it ticks all the boxes for us. Far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough to be able to easily catch one of the many buses into town or the nearby supermarket for supplies.
All apartments are self contained with a full size fridge, hotplate, microwave and cooking appliances. The rooms are big, bright and airy with great views of the water, beautiful gardens or amazing infinity pool. Rooms are serviced to a very high standard every day and the housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. We needed to have a minor issue sorted on arrival and the maintenance staff member was there within half an hour.
It has been sad to be unable to return until this year due to the covid lockdown. The major improvement this stay was the quality, variety and standard of food at the onsite restaurant Café Vila. I have read reviews complaining of the prices here, but we have found it to be equivalent to restaurants we visit at home and certainly worth the money. Although we don't have special dietary requirements it was good to see vegan/vegetarian choices on the menus. The restaurant staff, headed up by the wonderful Olivia, were friendly and efficient and always welcoming.
We would recommend Nasama Resort to anyone wanting a relaxed and friendly holiday and have already booked to return in August 2023.

Dear Andrew, It was a pleasure for the Nasama family to welcome you back. Especially since you were unable to travel back due to the pandemic. Glad to hear that we continue to tick all the boxes for you with our ideal location, self-contained rooms and service as it was a mad scramble to get the resort operational again as the government gave us such short notice before opening the borders. The Café Vila team have worked really hard and consistently over the last few months catering for all our guests’ dietary requirements and to continue finding ways to keep our guests excited about the food. It means a lot to us that you as a loyal customer, enjoyed your meals, and we thank you for your glowing review. We look forward to welcoming you back again next year.

We have just returned from another wonderful stay at Nasama Resort. Our one week stay was so relaxing, with the staff friendly and attentive and the resort itself offering all that we needed in the way of facilities. The resort had been very well maintained during the pandemic closure, with both the buildings and grounds still in great condition. The pool and surrounds were well maintained and the warm waters of the lagoon and beach right on the doorstep were a real bonus. We loved that we had the option of self catering or dining at the cafe and the rooms were beautifully clean, spacious and well equipped with a large outdoor area adjacent. It was easy to use the local bus service into town or you also have the option to use the taxi or tour bus services for longer trips. The staff were more than happy to provide assistance and advice when we had any queries.
Nasama was the perfect place for us to unwind and relax. We highly recommend the resort and look forward to visiting again soon!

We returned to Nasama Resort in August for our 7th stay. We return to Nasama every time because it suits our needs, namely great comfortable apartments, quiet and relaxed atmosphere and fabulous staff.
The apartments have everything you need if you choose to self cater (no need when there are two fantastic restaurants on site), comfortable beds and beautiful views. The housekeeping team are so attentive - rooms cleaned to a high standard daily and all requests promptly attended to.
The resort is a little out of town with plentiful transport at the front entrance. Just hail a bus and they will take you anywhere. The supermarket is close by and has everything you might need - equivalent to a supermarket in Australia.
The notable improvement over our many visits is the standard of food at Cafe Vila. The breakfast and dinner menus have plenty of variety with vegetarian and vegan options available, with good size servings at a reasonable price. In previous visits we have gone to other restaurants in town (and there are plenty of great ones) but this visit we dined nearly every night at Cafe Vila.
The front of house staff are so cheerful and friendly and we would like to thank Serah, Anna and Cooksie for their professional and attentive service.
Already looking forward to returning in 2024!

If you are seeking a wind down, chill out, easy, friendly, helpful, clean and relaxing holiday destination then this is it.
Nasama isn't a pumping holiday place, it's a family friendly, low key, chilled out resort. Excellent food options between Three Pigs and Cafe Vila managed by the amazing Anna, the food is fresh and fulfilling and if high quality. Cocktails at the bar in the evening, take a beer by the pool, or snorkel in ocean pool. All amazing. You can organize your tours at the front desk, must see is Blue Lagoon, Rantapao River, Rarru Falls, Tanna Coffee and the Chocolate factory. Recommend Holidaymakers tours, ask for Eileen.
Rooms at Nasama are well appointed, cleaned regularly, comfortable and self contained, some days we just madea sandwich with items from the little store across the road. Awesome baguettes.
Watch The hermit crabs at night, sit by the ocean, relax. It's here.

Our 2 families stayed at Nasama Resort early February for 11 nights. It is great for older kids and teenagers as the snorkeling was amazing right in front of the resort and the best we had seen in Vanuatu. Rooms were well fitted out and extremely clean with some minor issues with one of our 4 rooms where the sliding door wouldn’t lock.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with arranging tours and transportation for the 10 of us. We almost had the resort to ourselves being the low season. Our deal included a good choice of daily delicious breakfasts and cocktails which were fantastic.

Getting to town was easy with buses right on front and only cost a couple of dollars pp. Recommend trying the tasty lunch at the main markets in Port Villa made by the locals which was about $6AU as the resort restaurant closes for lunch. Nasama Resort was perfect for us and we loved it!

Nasama Resort's best feature is its staff and their beautiful customer service. The team go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. We were greeted at the front of the resort and taken to our room which I thought was a kind little touch. The room was huge, we had fresh flowers and the linen smelt like salt air and sunshine. The Wi-Fi in our room wasn't working and a team member came to our room and worked on it until it was perfect, I think he even went into town to get parts! The resort has some wear and tear from the recent cyclones however given they were only 6 months ago; the team have come together to look after their guests. Nothing is a bother for the Nasama team, they let us have a complimentary late check out as no one was checking into the room and Reception even let us exchange some of our bigger notes for small changes so we could get the bus into town. If you are expecting pool side cocktails and flashy amenities, this isn't your place. However, Nasama make up for that with the small touches – Resort cats slink around and purr when picked up, a gorgeous team member lined up my shoes and folded my pyjamas at the end of my bed, the waves can be heard as you go to sleep and the team are full of smiles and helpful suggestions. If you are looking for a genuine, authentic experience where the team members look after you, then book now.

The room was 416 last on the top by the sea. Great views, and spacious accommodation. The kitchenette was well appointed, served our needs. Pool was being repainted and filled for a couple of days during, we were given food vouchers, and the fact you can day-pass to Le Lagon and their facilities up the road made it a non issue, and thank you for that !!! (Vila restaurant is also superb!!) Great smaller resort - nice little beach and great snorkeling just over the reef beyond. We used the BBQ one night, its a good alternative to eating out. Staff are amazing, helpful, cheerful and attend to whatever minor issues or needs arise. I highly recommend Nasama to anyone staying in Port Vila, price wise - it cant be beat for what it has to offer, thank you, we will be back!!!

Hi Larry, A lot of thought was put into the designing of our accommodation to ensure excellent views, comfort, and convenience of which our kitchens and outdoor BBQ have been well received. On the other hand, our Café Vila team always sources for the freshest produce, this combined with our chef’s passion for cooking makes it a “superb” dining experience. We would also like to thank you for your patience and understanding as our pool was undergoing the much-needed refurbishment and being located by the ocean it was great to hear you enjoyed the snorkeling in front of the resort. Thank you again for your excellent review and recommendation. We look forward to your return next year!!

we had a studio with a beach view - it was ground level and had a small view of the ocean I would think the deluxe suites are on the top floor and in the blocks closer to the water what we had was very good - wouldn't see the need to pay more for a better view
