Booked the King Solomon hotel for one night due to airline schedules heading back to Brisbane. When we finally got into our room, it appeared that the housekeeping staff had either not thoroughly cleaned the room or just didn't see some of the things left behind by the previous occupant. Bottle caps, empty bottle in the smelly refrigerator, toilet cleaning...

Sure, the rooms in this hotel have seen better days, and the free wifi is not terribly reliable (in fact its not perfect anywhere I've been in Honiara). But breakfast is free and the rooms are big and airy, with a full size fridge. The layout gives cool shade and great views from upper floors, the atmosphere is uniquely relaxing, and...

Well worth a visit. Best value in Honiara as price includes breakfast. The cable car is a fun novelty and views are amazing. The King Solomon is a great place to meet interesting people and its central location makes it very convenient. It also has a terrific restaurant with great quality pizzas and Thai curries. Thanks Pepe! The front desk...

My first impression was: I paid how much for this? I have paid much less for very much better in Sydney etc. But the place grew on me. Sure it is need of work. But the staff are good, it is safe and central. Everything worked. The bar served a nice drink with helpful staff. The restaurant is good. I will...

The location of King Solomon Hotel is really convenient, and the view is beautiful. The Tia-food at King Solomon Hotel's restaurant is good, for example green curry chicken, by the way, the pizza is also delicious . There are cable car at there, so it's easy for you to go up even with a heavy luggage. Swimming pool is pretty...

The rooms are basic, but the air conditioning is cool, the food in the restaurant is great and the beer is cold. The funicular railway seems to be at the heart of this quirky hotel, whether you ride with an ex-pat, or the Alice from the laundry, everyone is up for a chat. We stayed in three different rooms over...

Have visited this hotel many times for business in the past and it has not disappointed. The staff, especially Karina always look after me and they all greet you with a smile whenever they see you. The rooms are the best value for money in Honiara - clean, large and the cable car is a great way to travel to...
