Kuila Village Stay is situated on Savo Island, about 1.5 hours by boat from Honiara. This village stay is a fantastic experience for those who want to experience the traditional Solomon Islands village life and there are also a couple of exciting activities to be done. I stayed here for 2 nights in 2012. Maybe things have changed so much now but if they haven't then I guess the owners should think about making the rooms more traditional-like- use traditional materials for walling in stead of timber. Otherwise I had a good stay.

I had a wonderful time at Kuila village stay, thanks to Noel and Victoria. Noel is a highly knowledgeable and experienced guide full of local information about the area and species, terrestrial and marine, which abound, together with a great deal of local folklore, he is also keen and conscientious towards guests, always helpful without invading your space, a really...

When I stayed here this guest house was on Savo Island - not in Honiara. Perhaps it's a different place but the photo sure reminds me of where I stayed. A true village experience that was basic but nice enough and a good place to start your tour of Savo to see the volcano, megapod birds dolphins and jungle hikes....
