This resort is truly the best place to stay when visiting Palau, especially if you’re diving. Whatever dive company you choose, they will pick you up and drop you off at the dock at the resort. The meals (mostly buffets) are pricey for Palau but the staff goes out of their way to make everything very special. There are two main restaurants at the resort, a more casual restaurant offering buffet breakfast and dinner and a fine dining dinner restaurant. We loved our stay at PPR and can’t wait to be back.

We had a nice stay, and it is probably the best you get in Palau. But for our family room we paid 600+€ / night, which gets you much better hotels pretty much anywhere else. But if you consider where you are and that you can enjoy quite a good level of luxury in a very remote place very close to the nature it is still a good deal. The service experience for us was very mixed, from super attentive to almost rude. Hotel is run by Japanese which is also reflected by the guest, as Europeans we almost felt a bit discriminated. When we arrived with our three kids in a rental car, we were asked to move the car instead of helping us with the luggage and the kids. Only after clarifying that we are guest, we were allowed to unload. After having quite some issues with the safety of our room (balcony railing was broken, bad with a crawling baby), we were barely able to bring this to the attention of the responsible. Informing via phone did not work, we then mentioned it twice at the reception, did not work either, so we ended up not having it repaired through the entire stay.

But then again, location is nice, food is quite good, pool is sufficient, the hot tub is a nice plus and the private beach is very beautiful with a reef right in front of it. So all in all, if you want to burn a few bucks and try to find some luxury in Palau I recommend it, but lower your expectations before arriving.

My husband and I along with our adult daughter recently returned from a trip to Palau. My husband and I stayed in The Pristine Villas and Bungalows and our daughter stayed at the Palau Pacific Resort. The Pristine Villas is basically their version of concierge level villa very close to the main resort area, yet quiet and secluded. In our opinion, the Villa did not offer enough space or privacy for our 26 year old daughter, so we got her her own room. Our villa was stunning and rivals that of the finest Caribbean Resorts. We have stayed at Little Dix Bay, Jumby Bay, Parrot Cay and other high end resorts and the Pristine Villas will not disappoint. We had our own pool and could literally snorkel right from our villa. The entire resort was completely stunning with impeccable service. We went to Palau to dive and our dive company picked us up at the hotel dock with ease. What made our trip so special were the people of Palau and all of the lovely workers at the resort. The restaurants, bars, pools, were all excellent with wonderfully warm and thoughtful service. When we were not diving, we were doing world-class snorkeling right in front of the hotel. We opted to dive 2 full days off property and stayed at the property two days to enjoy the resort and the amenities. I honestly cannot say one negative thing about either of the properties. Was it expensive? Yes! However, how many times do you get to visit a place this beautiful? If you can swing it and you enjoy quiet privacy, opt for a Villa in the private area. Our daughter was very happy with her room in the main part of the hotel. I don't understand people complaining about the food. We loved it and to be honest, you are in Palau for the diving, snorkeling and natural beauty. We had fish and/or sushi every night and it was fantastic not to mention killer cocktails at the beach bar. I hope to return someday and the diving was literally the best experience of our lives! Thank you Palau Pacific Resort for a magical holiday.

Went here for the buffet. Not too impressed. First the girl at the restaurant entrance said service charge already included in published price which it clearly wasnt. Selection not great for the price. My wife asked waiter for a soopspoon and was told go and get it yourself. Roast lamb was raw and dangerous to eat. Could ask him to cook it more but dissapointed by this time. Hoards of people with little or no manners pushing in to get food. I could mention where they were from but do not wish to sound racist. Some staff quite pleasant but overall poor value for money and we shall not return.

I stayed here for a few days both before and after a liveaboard dive trip. The beach is beautiful and not very crowded. The scenery is fantastic. The food in the restaurant is very good but not great. The service in the restaurant and throughout the resort is excellent. Wifi works well in the public spaces but is hit or miss inside some of the rooms. On the whole this is a very good place to stay but over priced by international standards.

We had dinner there and would say that the buffet dinner is way overrated. Food is ok, but there is nothing which would blow your mind away and you will eagerly pay the bill without thinking... quite opposite. I was served roasted lamb... which was effectively raw i.e. there was still blood seeping out of meet on plate. Had to ask to fry on pan!

I did like the seafood cooked right in front of you.

When we asked for spoons... were simply told to go and get our own spoons by soup station.

My husband and I recently completed a fantastic 10 night stay at PPR. Despite staffing shortages due to Covid, the hotel was able to provide impeccable facilities and very warm hospitality. From start to finish, it was a class act. The room was extremely spacious with, rather than a king bed, essentially two double beds combined and ample room to move around the giant bed. And the bathroom has a tub as well as a high-quality Japanese bidet which was a real bonus. From our garden view room, we were treated to amazing bird life and very beautiful tropical foliage. There is a boat dock there, so our snorkeling and kayaking companies were, on some days, able to just pick us up or drop us off right at the hotel! That is a true luxury, as was the entire stay.

The resort is exactly what we expected for a remote island 5 star resort. Some things were a bit dated but overall the resort and staff were first class. Our room was an Ocean View, well appointed with spa toiletries, thick bathsheet towels, robes and slippers. Fresh fruit was waiting for us in the room as well as complimentary water, Coke and beer along with coffee and tea. The bed was huge, two double beds pushed together. There was a large drying rack for wet clothes as well as a line in the shower. A small private patio was outside with a great view of the bay. The included breakfast buffet was generous, plentiful and delicious. If you could not find something to eat, you were the problem. We had several meals in the restaurant and they were all well prepared and tasty. Simple sandwiches and burgers were huge. All open air eating but no bugs. The bar was adjacent and always lively in the afternoon. The pool was deep blue, clean and clear and complimented the beach and bay for swimming. We used the Elisia spa for a tension release massage and the ladies from Bali did not disappoint. Others in our group also used the spa and raved about the service and treatments they received. Staff was eager to great you and ask if you needed anything as well as get to know you as a guest.
Does it look like the modern 5 star hotels in the States, no. It is on a remote island that is very hard to get to and provides as classy of a resort as you can get in the middle of the South Pacific.

We stayed at the Palau Pacific Resort for 11 nights. This was my 3rd time back. The stay was lovely . The property is wonderful and everybody who works here is so friendly and helpful. Lucy and her staff did everything to make us feel at home. Whether it is the front desk people, the restaurant staff or the pool boys, they are all wonderful and service oriented people. We had fresh flowers on our bed every morning after cleaning and everybody is smiling when you see them. Every morning we enjoyed sitting down for a great breakfast enjoying the ocean view. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are nice. The bath rooms could use some update - but giving that everything else is so wonderful, this is very minor. We will definitely come back. One of the nicest and relaxing places I have been too. Thank you so much for your great hospitality!

What an AMAZING place to stay and I didn't arrive till 4am in the morning and was picked up at Koror International Airport by Chris from the hotel and after a marathon trip from London via Seoul to Palau and my key was waiting and was even taken by buggy to my room. When I woke I opened the curtains and it was the most stunning view so after a coffee in my room went to breakfast and was seated with another stunning sea view and the service was just amazing. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer as I was going on a live aboard dive trip .........Thank You PPR : O )
