Detailed Reviews
Stayed as a family late Dec 2019 to early Jan 2020 for 8 nights.
Check in was smooth (English speaking). But no real additional info like local maps, restaurants suggestions etc. at check in.
We stayed in a 1 br apartment on the Anse Vata side. The apartment was large, with large balcony. The apartment seemed relatively new or refurbished. Furniture and fittings were in good condition. Some other reviews had mentioned it being too windy on the Anse Vata side, but while there was usually a breeze there it wasn't unpleasant at all and we often used the balcony. Maybe this varies with the season?
The kitchen was adequately equipped with dishes, plates, pots and pans to cook a simple meal if required. There was a full size fridge freezer. There was an electric stove including oven as well as a microwave. A dishwasher is also provided. There is also a drip filter coffee maker. No condiments, coffee, tea, sugar etc. we're provided.
The bathroom provided towels, soap, shampoo and 2 rolls of toilet paper. There was a combined shower/bath. The hot water came out hot and strong whenever you wanted it.
We were on the 12th floor with great views of Anse Vata beach.
The downside is that despite its name the apartment is not serviced during our stay. This meant the same towels, also taking your own trash to the garbage room on the ground floor as the bins filled up. Also we had to buy our own toilet paper from a supermarket (there is a small store/cafe on the ground floor to buy basic supplies as well).
The location is great. About 200m to either Bai De Citrons or Anse Vata beaches. Also close to many cafe and restaurant.
As long as you are aware of the limited service and supplies I would recommend this property for a stay in Noumea.

We stayed at the Casa Del Sole for 6 nights recently, as a family of 4, in a 2 bedroom apartment.
The apartment (on level 15, overlooking Baie des Citrons) was large and comfortable. The view was spectacular both day and night. One bedroom had 2 single beds, the other had a queen sized bed.
There was air conditioning in both bedrooms (but not the main living area/kitchen), and each room opened out onto a balcony. The balcony for the main living area was huge and had outdoor furniture so you could eat and relax outside, while inside were couches and a dining table/chairs. There was a clothes washing machine and a drying rack. The kitchen has some basic (limited) utensils and a dishwasher. There is a good amount of crockery and glassware, and a large fridge.
The apartment isn’t serviced during your stay, and you need to bring your own washing up liquid, detergent, dishwasher powder, and toilet paper (there is only one initial roll in each toilet). The apartment itself is a bit dated.
Any of these disadvantages are offset by the incredibly good value for money that this apartment is – compared to either other nearby apartments (eg the Hilton Residences at Anse Vata, where we have stayed before, which are smaller and significantly more expensive). The price is incredibly affordable and makes it a great choice for a family break.
The apartment is located at Baie des Citrons, and is short walk from the beach and many restaurants/bars. It is a slightly longer (but still not far) walk across to Anse Vata, where there is a also a beach, shuttle to Ile aux Canards, and many other restaurants and bars. There was some noise from the bars at Baie des Citrons on the Saturday night, but it was not intrusive once the balcony doors were closed.
There is ample parking, and a small convenience store adjacent to reception (open each morning, and then later in the afternoon). Check in was in French language only, and payment was required at check in. The property accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards. There is a small swimming pool which we used several times during our stay.
WiFi is available at a reasonably low price (2100 XPF for a week), but to go with the low price it was patchy and unreliable. It was fine for occasional use on vacation, but would not be good if you were trying to have Zoom / Teams calls etc.
I would highly recommend this Casa del Sole as a great apartment to stay at when in Noumea, and do look forward to staying here again in the future. It is also important to remember that with the lower price there is no servicing and you need to supply certain items.

Our family of four just spent a week at Casa del Sole in a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor (16). The location is perfect, sitting right between Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata, which means incredible views from the rooms. The balcony had a table and some lounge chairs so was a great place to eat meals. But we spent most of our time out and about - evenings on Baie des Citrons watching the sun go down were magical.
We knew ahead of time to bring supplies including dishwasher tabs, dishwashing liquid, some extra toilet paper etc so were not concerned about this. There was soap and body wash in the apartment. Kitchen equipment was basic and wouldn’t cater for complex cooking but was fine for the occasional meal we prepared. The supermarket at Port Plaisance was a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride.
We arrived late at night and were sent good instructions for access via key safe, although didn’t realise until the next day that lights in the hallways are on a timer so it was dark as we came through. But again, no big problem. The shower was a bit ordinary but the kids were happy to have a bath.
We didn’t try the hotel WiFi as we rented Pocket WiFi, which was delivered to the hotel and gave great portable signal for the whole holiday.
Casa del Sole is not a luxury hotel, but we would definitely stay there again. It was excellent value for money compared with other apartment-style hotels. Last time we were in Noumea we stayed at Anse Vata but we much preferred this location. Can’t wait to return.

This apartment complex could be amazing, it has fantastic views over the Baie des Citrons at the front and Anse Vata to the side. However the apartments themselves are in a bad state of repair, there is minimal furnishing and there is very little equipment in the kitchen - not even a sharp knife. No dishwasher or washing machine detergents are provided, nor is toilet paper beyond the first roll. We knew this and were prepared which makes it easier. The aircon is also on its last legs. There is also no housekeeping provided. With a little care and attention to detail these apartments could be first rate given their location.

Casa Del Sole is perfectly located for a great seaside holiday. The apartments are spacious but bare. The overall standard of maintenance reflects isolation that Covid has wrought on NC. If you don't mind a scruffy apartment in a perfect place, this is the right place for you. The team are great. UNFORTUNATELY - the WiFi is terrible - we bought Bluewave Premium and never got download at better than 4-5 MBps. Connectivity was unreliable.

We stayed here as a family of four for five days over the New Year holidays.
It was a two-bedroom room on the 14th floor, and it was so spacious!
Above all, the balcony was wide, with two couches to lie down on and a table set for four people on the Anse Vata Beach side, and you could see Citron Bay from the bedroom.
However, there were two cranes under construction right in front of the Anse Vata Beach side, which obstructed the view a bit, but the view was good as only the foundations had been built so far.
There were two separate toilets, but they didn't provide spare toilet paper, so we checked in advance and brought three rolls, and used the third one just the day before we left.
The kitchen was electric with three outlets, an electric kettle, a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator, and a washing machine.
There were plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, pots and pans, and a cutting board, but no knives.
It's affordable, spacious, and has a great view, but the negative points are that it's about a 10-minute walk to shopping, the building is quite old, bath towels aren't changed, air conditioning is only in the bedroom (we left the bedroom door open to cool the living room), and there's no cleaning.
But the price was cheap, so I was satisfied just to be able to enjoy meals every morning and evening on the balcony with a great view.
I recommend bringing your own kitchen detergent, sponge, kitchen paper, tissues, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc.

I can only reiterate what Michael wrote in August 2023 and agree totally with his assessment. My opinion is the location is fantastic, the apartment spacious and adequately equipped. The balcony was perfect for alfresco meals with the most fabulous view. We travel with carry on only so we bought a knife and some dishwashing detergent when we arrived. We self catered some of our meals and were happy with the kitchen equipment and supplies.
There is noise on Friday and Saturday nights till the early morning but nothing some earplugs would not fix or the place is not for you.
After some of the reviews I was very pleasantly surprised at the apartment and the location.

I was a bit nervous about returning here (last stayed in 2007) after some negative reviews on here. However I could not resist the perfect location (surely the best in Noumea, right on Baie Des Citrons which has the best strip of restaurants/bars in NC).
In fact our stay was excellent.
We were in a renovated apartment on the top floor with a balcony and amazing views.
Reception was really friendly and helpful, including arranging airport transfers.
There's even a cafe/convenience store on the ground floor these days- perfect for picking up a baguette and croissants.

Love watching the sun go down from our 15th floor apartment. The kitchen was great to use and made all our meals there. Water pressure can be bad on the higher floors when at busy times of the day.
WiFi was terrible first thing in the morning and every evening. So little bandwidth that had to wait until late just to open FaceBook on the PC and midnight to upload photos on the weekends. A bit better during the week as it was shoulder season and not so many people then.
Floors transmit noise from people walking around upstairs and moving furniture etc.
Great location with all the restaurants and shops etc right by the place.

We were informed of a price by phone, but when we arrived we were told it was an error on their part, and they charged us more. Their policy seems to be: they make a mistake, and the customer pays the price.
Besides, the receptionist could have been a robot, I wouldn't have seen the difference.
Finally, once we arrived in the room, for which we paid more than 30,000 XPF, we found dish towels lying around, the floor soaked and air conditioning so noisy that it would have woken the dead.
In short, I strongly advise against it.

XPF 2500 per person by airport shuttle organised by Casa del Sole.
You really must book transfers as the airport is a long way from the hotel (at least 45 kms from the hotel). Your travel agent can help, otherwise Arc en Ciel provides a shuttle for about $30 from memory. Perhaps look at transfers from airport on Google if you are not going through a travel agent. A nice tour is the Amédée lighthouse and it would be a good idea to book that in advance. It is quite expensive but well worth it.
oh and my room doesn't have a hairdryer.
