Absolutely loved this place. It is set in a beautiful building and the lady that runs it is absolutely wonderful. We had a bit of a language barrier as we do not speak Spanish but this did not matter as her charm and appeal comes through in her warm and caring approach. Staying a long time in the Pension, I had the chance to appreciate the tranquillity of the place, the professionalism and at the same time the courtesy of the owner, the excellent location. This was the first hostel I stayed at in South America, It was very accommodating. Value for money was great, they were Gs50,000 a night, but I got a great discount for a months stay. The pension is located one block from park “Plaza Uruguay” and two blocks from bus stops for busses going to the bus terminal. The touristy downtown is also within few blocks walk. This is a family run hostel in a nicely kept colonial house. There is no sign on the building but the building number is clearly visible. The rooms...
