Great restaurant and bar service. Requested down feather pillows and just got another pair of regular pillows with no explanation. No mouthwash, q-tips, or toothpaste provided unless you ask (mouthwash didn’t come even after asking); their excuse is ‘COVID’. I don’t buy it when other hotels in Colombia are providing everything. I stayed at the JW Bogota last week and it is a better experience, by far.

There were many good aspects, but I don’t feel the hotel deserves more than 3 stars… I gave it 2 because it did fall short on few things that I inquired about before making my reservation. The good: Most of the staff were friendly! Good location Nice rooms Received a complimentary upgrade due to my status which was nice. Foreigners don’t pay taxes but that caused another issue (see below) When encountered a technical issue, they worked on it for two days until it was fixed (it did cost me time and missing some meetings too). Received 4PM checkout The bar has good food/drinks The bad 1. Although I’m top tier with Marriott, I’m traveling alone, and paid an almost top rate as it was a last minute reservation, I didn’t receive free breakfast. It had to do with local tax/pkg rule they have. It costs about 13euros/day for breakfast although I had stayed at another cat 5 property in Bogota a week earlier and they gave me free breakfast without any issues. The receptionist justified the reasoning behind it and I willingly accepted. I just wanted to mention it here so others are not surprised when they are checking in like I was. 2. As a top tier you don’t receive any complimentary waters or snacks (there’s no lounge) other than the 2 bottles of water that you get in the room. 3. I have over 800 nights with Marriott over the past 7yrs or so, and those were stays all around the world and never have I ever seen a gym without water. On my last day, I asked the gym attendant for water and he asked me for my room number to bill the bottle of water while I was sweating and exercising… it’s ok to try to nickel and dime traveller’s but seriously? Waterless-gym is the theme at the Bogota-W 4. Continuing with the theme of water, while paying the 13euros for breakfast… guess what, it doesn’t include water. I get free coffee, tea, great juices but no water. Every morning when I ask for water I get billed an additional ~7000 cop which is not much but come on… even though I was tipping every morning like 10k cop and I ate most of my meals at the bar and Restutant… and I felt good about doing that, I would get the points and I would support their business especially that the staff who worked at the bar and restaurant were great! I’ve spent 100s of dollars on food alone and probably water didn’t cost more than $10-15USD throughout the week…but it’s the principle especially with loyal customers… 5. Checkout - while I’m grateful to Marriott for this benefit, and the fact that the hotel provided me with a 4Pm late checkout, my flight wasn’t until 11pm and I asked if I could stay a bit longer. I wanted to get a massage, eat light dinner at the bar and then head out to the airport, however they wanted to charge me 50% of the rate to check out 2 hours later at 6pm and anything after 6, it would have been a full rate. Now, normally I would have agreed abs I understand that it’s their poilu y, but the hotel isn’t busy at all, I’m a good paying loyal customer and I’ve never been denied this request anywhere in the world where flights to the US are in the evening (Asia and South America). I always got this without any begging which I wasn’t gonna do. I changed my plans and decided to skip on the Spa and eat at the airport instead. Bottom line, it feels that there’s a direction from management and the hotel’s leadership to nickel and dime their customers and I understand the impact the pandemic has left, but don’t make your guests feel like they are staying at a low cost hotel being ran by Spirit airlines!!!

Let's start by saying we would stay one night; we ended up staying five nights. My mom had surgery, and she couldn't go up the stairs at home right after the surgery, so we decided to stay at the W. At the end first day, she didn't want to leave. The whole team spoiled her; my mom felt in heaven from the restaurant team, room service, cleaning service, security, and security. Thank you all for helping out where we needed the most

I had a pleasant stay at this property. Front desk staff were attentive and very professional. Breakfast attendants were really nice and took care of me while I was at the lounge. I would strongly advise travelers to try their “brunch” at night on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s a pretty good deal with unlimited food and drinks 🍹.

Good high end hotel located in trendy Usaquén district with many food options within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and our beds were very comfortable. The was a strange curtain that separates the bed area from the toilet and shower, but we found it not giving the proper privacy for the people.
