I met my son, Todd, and we stayed for 3 days. Wonderful stay, convenient to city center museums, etc.; taxi and bus friendly. The staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was a delightful: juice, coffee, fresh fruit, breads, eggs served with a smile. Thanks for the memories!

I was very happy about my stay at Abadía Colonial. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and my bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. The building itself is beautiful and provides you with a nice patio. The views from the breakfast room is lovely, and there is a cozy restaurant if you want to stay in for...

Stayed for our first 3 nights on our first trip to Colombia. A friend had highly recommended the place. We had booked the top grade room, off a quiet garden at back of hotel. It WAS very quiet, until the early morning dogs get going, not he hotel's fault. Room was big, nice hot shower and bathroom. Breakfast was table...

Just left here today (24/10/80) and had a lovely stay for a couple of nights. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, none seemed to speak very good if any English but that is very common in Colombia and you should learn a few basics in Spanish before visiting here. Even with abit of a language barrier the staff...

Great location in the heart of the 'old' Candelaria district (take note there is a 'new' Candelaria district which can lead to confusion with taxi drivers). Within walking distance to most of the main sights. Charming little hotel with a pretty courtyard area in the middle to sit out in if the weather is good. The staff were friendly, particularly...

If hostels are your accommodations of choice this will do fine. Otherwise, please reconsider and continue your search. Before jumping into all the reasons you should give Abadia Colonial a pass, I must first a say a kind word for the staff. They were kind, patient and tried their best to be accommodating. Unfortunately, they do not have much to...

Located in the heart of La Candelaria, this is a fab hotel. It is minimalistic and rustic, that said a small drinks "bar" is provided in the room, along with a TV, the wifi is reasonable. Breakfast is simple, eggs and bread with some fruit, juice and coffee. There is an Italian restaurant on site if needed. There are two...

Perfect little hotel in the centre of the old district. Near some good bars and places to eat. The staff spoke very little English which we were expecting but they remained patient and polite with us when we are trying to explain what we wanted in our very bad Spanish. Google translate even came out a couple of times! It...

After doing some fairly extensive research on where to spend my 4 nights in Bogota I settled on Abadia Colonial. It was an almost perfect stay. Friendly welcome on arrival. My room was close to the front of the hotel. It had a lovely old world colonial feel to it. The room was very spacious with plenty of space to...
