I'll say first of all the hotel rates were very fair and the staff very courteous and kind. However, as a "gold" member with the OTA I am supposed to be offered a room upgrade and receive a 20% discount in the restaurant. Received neither. Also, there is no hot water in the hotel at 11:30 pm when I wish to show (I would expect full services in a 4* property). I tried to call the reception but there is no directory on the telephone and "0" & "9" got me nowhere. No responses either to my e-mails. Internet reception very poor on the fifth floor. I expect better. Also 28.000 pesos seems to me expensive for breakfast.

I had stayed here before, so I am very disappointed I had a bad experience. First, the service is great, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are very clean. This time though, I had lots of problems. The first time I stayed here I had a lovely, large room with a nice view. This time they put me in a tiny room with a "window" that was only translucent and opened to...an inside hallway! What a view. Worst of all, the room was very cold the whole time. I was left shivering. There is (useless) air conditioning, but no heat. As soon as I got to the room, I had to call maintenance because the toilet lid would not stay up. They came and cheerfully fixed it, but then I had to call and have the refrigerator replaced. The one in the room made a lot of noise, but after 12 hours, I found that everything I put in it was room temperature. The breakfast was ok, better than a continental "croissants and coffee" breakfast, but no hot meats, and very limited hot selections. Maybe worst of all, they were doing some kind of construction on my floor (2nd floor) and banging on walls all day long. I thought it might stop at 5pm but it didn't. After 7pm I had to go out and talk to the construction people to get them to stop. They were remodeling a room, which is great, but guests shouldn't have to suffer. I had high expectations, but was left very disappointed.

Location close to any interesting place in Bogota. Beautiful view to the city and mountains. Comfortable bedroom and bathroom, nicely renovated. Desk, safe, iron, refrigerator, chair, flat TV, radio, hairdrier, large closet with hangers, everything that we need was there. Any service from front desk to the last server in the staff was kindly and professional attention.
