From 17 - 22 Nov 2021 we stayed in this hotel in Bogota. As we traveled during the Corona Pandemic, some restrictions were still in effect and you needed a vaccination certificate for many activities which the Colombian Gov web page doesn’t inform you about. You can travel unvaccinated as far as we knew, however we were vaccinated, which is strongly recommend and will come in handy for visiting any tourist places. Summary: The room we stayed in was 816 on the 8-floor was standard with about 26m2 and no balcony, windows could not be opened. We noticed that this room was noisy hearing all “gossip” around 7am from the technical/cleaning room next to it. The room was fitted with a very American coffee maker (not a Nespresso Machine) and no water cooker (Kettle) and only provided decaffeinated coffee that would fit in that machine, which gave watery coffee. And (!) the coffee was from Costa Rica and not Colombian, this was very surprising to us. The bathroom was but good, amenities incl. Shampoo but no shower gel and body lotion. Only a body soap, which drying your skin (use to this from Hilton). The numbers: -Price/Quality: 3.5*** of 5***** (~521 US$ per 5 nights) -Price: $$$ of $$$$$ -Quality: 3*** of 5 -Service at Reception: 4.5**** of 5 (Jamie was amazing) -Service Overall: 3*** of 5 -Services Breakfast: 3.5*** the choice was very nice and varied, we especially loved the fresh fruit bar, with many options. Only point: bad coffee and limited healthy options, many fried options. -Wheelchair Accessible: yes via ramp and elevator -Overall rating: 3.5*** we had a good stay however the hotel is not 5***** and room and overall services were just not 5*****. The Breakfast The breakfast was from 07:00 - 10:30 see review above. Mind you bad coffee, taste is not Colombian coffee, but something cheaper. The Room We stayed in room 816-8th floor. See destination above. The internet was good it was working well in the room. The room provide medium closet space, limited hangers for clothes, no bath ropes, no room slippers, large TV (but channels only Spanish) and a reading chair and separate work desk, no Nespresso machine and no water cooker (see comment above). The hotel didn’t provide water. You cannot drink the tap water. Iron/ iron board available in the closet and there was a safe. The Bathroom The shower was good, there was no hand-shower only a rain-shower. The sink was okay sized it did provided plenty space, there were limited amenities (no shower-gel) you would expect more from a 5***** hotel and a standard blow dryer. We would hope the hotel will improve for the future, we are now staying in our 3rd Hilton group hotel this holiday and are thinking to switch to another hotel group, as it’s been disappointing all over. The room was only cleaned after 2 or 3 days (you could highlight at the reception) due to coronavirus measurements. The Pool Due to coronavirus the pool (on 3rd floor) had to be reserved per 1 hr and could hold up-to 6 persons at a time. The pool is much smaller then per pictures. And they let people with outside shoes walk around the pool which is not very hygienic.…
We have stayed at this hotel several times before, and the staff has always been exceptionally welcoming and nice. Guestrooms have excellent views with the floor to ceiling windows. Excellent location for attending the adjacent exhibition center.
Excellent stay here - as a Diamond member I was upgraded to a nice corner suite king bed - beautiful and modern property with spacious and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was excellent and comprehensive. Staff were very friendly. Security measures both against COVID and general threats were taken. Met my standards for a Hilton property.
Even though we had a complaint, all staff tried to get a solution and General Manager took a time to talk with us. the way you face problems make difference. We enjoyed our staying and recognize Hilton brand in every details. Thanks to Sandra, Alejandra, Edison and Maria Jose from Oka restaurant and Felipe Alejandro from reception. Excellent transfer service.
This hotel is a top quality Hilton, we stayed In a very large suite for the price of a regular room in the USA, the location is perfect and central close ro everything, the staff is very profesional and attentive, Im sure they have a great GM running this place, the breakfast buffet is delicious, hearty and lots to choose from The food at all the restaurants is great, the gym, sauna, pool are clean, well kept and a great way to relax. We will definitely return again and again.
