We stayed two nights at Arthy's in a double twin beds room on the first floor, with shared showers and toilets. Price was reasonable, 150Bs a night. We enjoyed our stay there. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was basic (although had to pay 10Bs extra). Staff was very friendly and organized. Internet worked well until protests came in the area...

We struck gold with Arthys guesthouse as the balcony opened directly onto the main thoroughfare just as the Dakar rally was passing. The staff and people running the house are so so nice. Really genuine people. The price is also very good and comes equipped with a small but fine kitchen. The curfew is a drawback but just do your...

I really enjoyed this place. After the debauchery of new years in wild rover and the pure uncomfort in the Amazon, this place was perfect. The beds are good, nice and warm on cold days. It has a small kitchenette were you can cook great meals. A nice living room with cable tv and a computer. But the main selling...

We stayed in a private room, shared bathroom for 4 days in early December. The place is old and very basic, rooms are bare, but the kitchen is clean and reasonably stocked. The beds were okay, the pillows terrible but the sheets were warm. The staff spoke great English and were always helpful. The location is great. There is no...

I came here but it was beyond my budget but Ruben was so kind to give me recommendations on other hostels even though I wasn't a customer. Just looking at the place it was very well kept, clean, quiet and had great management.

The building is dated, the rooms are old, the sheets are stained (or dirty), the showers are a lukewarm dribble of dubious cleanliness. The kitchen is ok, the enclosed sundeck is a nice touch (although lazing atmosphere) and the location is pretty good (10 mins from the bus station, 5 to Loki's or Adventure Brew, La Paz's liveliest bars) although...

Arthy's is a very nice and quiet choice to stay in La Paz. Rooms are clean although a bit old. After a long day walking around La Paz you want to hang out at the rooftop patio. But the biggest pro for Arthy's is the staff. Everybody at this family run hostel speaks fluent English and is extremely helpful. If...

Arthys is the perfect hostel if you are looking for a quiet good night's sleep. Beds are really comfortable and the hostel feels safe and secure. Staff are super friendly and really helpful, on our arrival they showed us places to go, where to eat and where to avoid. We were given complimentary hot water bottles which was a highlight...

All the communal shower rooms and toliets are on the 1st floor which made it a bit inconvenient for us who stayed on the 2nd floor. The shower is hot but so weak that make it so painful and unbearable (especial during La Paz's freezing cold winter). The room itself is very basic and tiring, with floor cracking loudly when...
