After staying in an overpriced hotel up the road - we were overjoyed to find this place. Al Nazih is a hostel so not going to suit anyone other than budget travellers. Rooms were basic but comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly with local knowledge. Al Nazih has a great location 5 mins from Charles Helou bus station, 5... More

Nazih is an established, sociable and efficient hostel in a great location. The dorms are good value and the place generally attracts a mid-20s to mid-30s crowd. A double private room is rather steep at $50 a much worse value. The weak aircon, plastic undersheets and easily flooded bathrooms make this option less appealing. There is no secure storage for... Air conditioned lobby. Small twin room 4. No fridge in room. No AC but fan provided which depending on the time of year may be sufficiet. In 40 degree august not enough.  Shared shower. Lady speaks English well. Fridge with cheap drinks including water soft drinks and beer. Friendly people. Exterior may put you off as it looks like a... More

The greatest thing about Pension al-Nazih is that it's really, really clean. The shared bathroom was cleaner than most en-suite toilets I've seen, as the staff kept cleaning it throughout the day. They also changed my bedsheets daily, which was a nice touch. Pension al-Nazih is well-located if you want to dine or party in the Gemmayzeh area - the... More

I spent a few nights with friends in a room with 4 beds. The shared bathroom was very well serviced which made me feel comfortable. The whole place is cleaner than many 3* in Beirut. On the downside, I have to mention that the number of bathrooms / toilets per floor is not sufficient at peak hours, and you better... More

Very basic hostel in a good location well within walking distance of everywhere you will want to go. Staff were very helpful and friendly. One annoyance was that we had read that Wifi was free but is in fact was a very steep $6 a day.

I would recommend the Pension as its rooms are decent with comfortable matresses and pillows. Clean and with a lot of light and ventilation, there is no view, but there is plenty of air and circulation. The downside is that there is only one common bath/toilet per floor, making getting ready in a hurry in the morning a challenge. A... More

The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the small common area. But then again, why would you stay in the hostel when you have restaurants and Beirut's best bare area 100m from the hostel. The price is good, staff is friendly, and it probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Probably... More

A good place to stay, recommended, we were treated nice and the staff held the room for us even though we came back late at night. Having said that, the price for laundry is really not justified.

Al Nazih was fine. The room was nice enough with a small balcony, and clean, with a working TV. The bathroom was also clean, but we were told that toilet paper was being rationed so we could only have a small roll for the room (of four) per day, and the hot water frequently ran out. Location wise it was... More
