As country with an overwhelming amount of hospitality, this was unambiguously one of the worst hostels that I have ever stayed at. I requested an airport shuttle through the hotel, but when I arrived in Beirut, the driver from the hotel mixed up the dates and never came. The next morning, I approached the owner of the hotel about this...

very good location. only 5 minutes walk to town centre (mosques & churches) and many historical sites. mini bus to airport at very cheap fare. nice pizza shop in 2 minutes walk. only complain : wifi speed was DEAD SLOW even next to the router. transportation (public buses) was easy to interesting places in the north & south.

Zaher's place (the owner) is the perfect option for a stay in beirut if on a budget. I slept in a 3 bed dorm which was basic but clean and air conditionend + a big locker including a lock is provided where you can store a big backpack or a smaller suitcase without a problem. The location of the hotel...

I stayed in Talal Hotel with my brather from Poland for a few days. The Boss organised for us smooth airport pick up and check in - in the middle of the night. Cost of transefer is about 20-25 $ depending on the direction to or from. We booked twin room for 45$ per night. We got the room on...

Talal hotel is not a bad choice if you are travelling on a budget, but wouldn't call it good either. I stayed in private room, which was in quite bad shape, though not overwhelmingly dirty or anything like that. Best thing was that there was hot water 24/7. AC had some heating power, but it was still quite cold inside....

My favourite part about this hostel was 100% the manager. Incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile on his face. Obviously works very hard and went out of his way to answer questions and make my stay easier. Arranged a ride to the airport at 2.30 in the morning for me which was much appreciated. As travelling in winter...

After having travelled half the world, this is the first time I did not feel safe somewhere! The manager had the cheek to threaten me, a guest in his coutry, who he should embrace! He charges extra 1 USD for using the wifi for like 5 minutes and when you express your concens about this, he tells you NOT TO...

As hostels in Beirut mostly are quite expensive for backpackers, this hotel is almost the cheapest option. By the information from Lonely Planet, actually I know that if I wanted to use wifi, I would have to pay $1. And the owner of this hotel told me he could share me free wifi for 40MB, as internet service is very...
