WeI stayed four nights in Anjum Jotel Makkah as a group of 248 people.
If your purpose is for Umrah please read my notes:
1) This is one of the closest hotel but if you are or your relatives are too old than prefer a closer hotel. If you are a healthy person I can say that it is one of the closest hotel to Kaaba (Masjeed-i Kharam)
2) You can see Masjeed-i Kharam area completely if your room is at the Kabaa side. But you can not see Kaaba from all rooms. If you want to see Kaabe from your door window you have to notice before booking.
3) Sleeping quality is important during Umrah and circumambulation of the Kaaba in late night or before morning. You need short sleeping time but you have to sleep comfortable without noise. I can say that I slept very well. The rooms are really in silence. I think the voice insulation is good enugh.
4) General cleaning and hygenie are in avarage. There is no standart bedclothing / sheet changing in this hotel. But if you ask cleaning and changing sheets and towels it is sure that they change as soon as possible. No problem.
5) The restaurant area, dishes, forks and spoons are all clean.
6) Foods are not delicious. All meats and rice (pilaff) are like Europian kitchen, no sense. All guests are looking for Middle East and Arabic taste or traditional meals but no way! I can not say the foods are tasteless but not so delicious.
7) Desserts are really unpleasant and stereotype! They could serve some Arabic, Lebaneese or Turkish desserts.
8) Fruits are enough but there is no exotic. Only oranges, apple and kiwi. No banana, avocado etc..
9) Rooms are comfortable.
10) Location is very good.
11) Hotel employees are friendly and helpful.

As a group organizer company I thank you very much hotel managers and employees because there is no complaint from our 248 guests. I appreciate all Anjum Hotel Makkah team.

I will prefer next time.

Upon our arrival at this hotel, we booked two rooms – one double and one triple. Unfortunately, our initial experience was marred by a receptionist named Arif, who insisted on a 200 riyal per room incidental deposit. Despite my reluctance, he threatened to withhold the bedroom key, leaving us in a difficult situation.

Despite prior requests for adjacent rooms, this was not honored. Additionally, bathroom slippers were absent, requiring a call to housekeeping for their provision.

Attempts to obtain an iron and ironing board proved futile despite assurances from housekeeping. Reception consistently answered calls with a miserable demeanor, prompting me to escalate concerns to the front office manager, Mohammed, who was responsive.

While cost considerations led us to choose this hotel over Hilton, the overall experience fell short. I won't return due to the lackluster service, distant location from gate 79, and the hotel's failure to match the service standards of Hilton or Accor

We stayed for almost 10 days. The hotel is a bit of a walk away from the Masjid, but very close to the extension (once it's complete). Still a long walk to the Kaabah though. There aren't many retail or food options nearby, everything is some walk away. The hotel itself is okay, does not seem very family friendly however. The rooms were decent, cleanliness was good. The daily buffet meals are a hit and miss, in my opinion. Sometimes excellent, sometimes not so. Guests seem be made up of predominantly from South-East Asia, so I guess the food is catered mostly for their tastes. The staff were courteous and friendly. However, I feel they need to improve their enforcement of their no-smoking policy. We had called guest services a few times to complain about other guests smoking along the corridor area, which we were always told they would be looked at, but the problem never went away. Each new group arrives the problem remains. The hotel has to do better than this.

Stayed in this hotel during Ramadan, and the rooms are clean, iftar/suhoor was delicious and location is so convenient, a few minutes from the haram

There was a mistake with double billing and the duty managers Nawaf and also Mohammed Moalim were so helpful and supportive in resolving the matters and coordinating the refund. They genuinely care about their guests and concerns, they take steps to help, arrange complimentary services, and did not get distracted with other matters or iftar meals to instead prioritise helping. Thank you both, you are awesome team! I will definitely visit this hotel in my next umrah inshalla ❤

We booked a room for 4 people the room came with 2 beds. The staff at the reception aren’t helpful at all did not fix the issue instead giving us 2 very uncomfortable children's beds which my feet were dangling at the end and was creaking all night. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel I seen better 2 star hotels than this. DONT COME HERE

We asked for two rooms together when we made our booking as we were travelling with our parents. Instead after two days of waiting we were given rooms in separate towers of the hotel. Reception staff were so rude and arrogant. When we asked for the rooms to be changed they said they were full!!!! Everyday we had to collect suhoor and iftari vouchers from reception even though we had prepaid for the week. They argued with us that on the day of checkout we wouldn't get suhoor (in which hotel do you not get breakfast on the day you checkout). We had to discuss this with 4 other people as nobody understood our point and they hardly understood english. I have stayed at many five star hotels and i have never experienced hotel staff so unhelpful and inexperienced on how to deal with customers.
Apart from the problems we experienced, the hotel is clean the restaurant staff and cleaning staff are attentive. The hotel is in close proximity of haram. Food is good in the restaurant. Lifts are slow, however plenty of them. Masjid in the hotel is very convenient and we used it on a number of occasions.
Overall a good hotel until you need any problems resolving.

I stayed in this hotel for five days with two family members m, during my umrah stay.

I must say it’s an amazing location close to the haram, the views from the rooms are really quite something.

Upon our arrival our room was still not ready and had to wait a further 30 minutes to get checked in. Our package included the breakfast which is quite average and on most days we decided to eat out.

Overall it’s a nice hotel with good amenities, it’s a very clean place and has its own bazaar which is very useful if you are travelling with kids to buy quick snacks, milk ect.

I would recommend. The walk to the haram is about five to ten minutes. The staff are very friendly and attentive. If you call the main reception they attend to your needs promptly. Overall it’s a four from me !

Clean, well equipped and spacious rooms, not so far from Haram it’s about 7 min walk. The hotel has a tunnel heading to Haram. The majority of the staff - not all of them - was super friendly, the breakfast was so good and has a lot of varieties.

The hotel was great and love to see so much space at the hotel. With free parking has in advance of the hotel during the periods when the local community are coming. But I was having an issue with the free parking arrangements, but it was assisted by one of the managers.

Upon arrival, it was crowded at the front desk, to be honest, the check-in experience was not fantastic however the staff was great and helpful. I met one gentleman from Indonesia in the lobby Mr.Deddy suryana (operations manager). He was very helpful and assisted me with my issue with the parking as well as my car. Someone has hit my car and it was damaged.

The room was not what I expected, I expected a much bigger room. For a family with 3 small kids, it was tight and I don’t think the hotel can accommodate the kids.

To be honest, this hotel has lots of potential, and I do hope this hotel will be well known in the market.

This hotel is located near Haram Makkah on the new extension side. It's 4 minutes walk to Haram. But when you return to hotel you have to walk a little steep. This side is entrance on foot only. A huge area with 6 escalators and 2 lifts. The car parking and car entrance is entire on opposite side. Once you climb up you will be in a huge open sitting area. People normally chat there while smoking. There are 2 towers. 1 and 2. My room was on 20th floor with Haram view. Overall neat and clean. Staff is so very helpful. Specially the young girl who process my booking was very very humble and kind and cooperative. Rooms are of nice size. Coffee maker etc all available in room.
The only thing which needs improvement is their breakfast menu. There's plenty of space. A lot can be done. Fresh seasonal fruits must be served.
Overall my experience was very good. Highly recommended.

Ok. In that case try to contact the hotel directly either through email or by using someone going to Mecca to discuss with the hotel on your behalf. Thanks. Abba.
