I can easily say that one of the good hotels in Makkah. It is situated very near to Haram, about 10 mins walk only. Then some of the rooms have Haram view as well. Complimentary breakfast is superb with variety of foods to choose from. Rooms are cozy n comfortable. 6 floor parking is available inside the hotel building. But parking elevators are separate.

Grand Makkah Hotel:
Pros: Excellent room cleaning. Congratulations to the cleaner on floor 13. I forgot his name. In-room amenities excellent. Daily room cleaning. Friendly reception staff: Arrived early for check-in from Madina at 12.30pm, but Mohammed Khatto allowed us to check-in rather than wait until 4.00pm. This allowed us to freshen up before performing umrah.
Cons: Breakfast: A good variety of both continental and arabic breakfast. However, I like to have fresh fruit with my breakfast, but only thing available was tinned fruit. The cereal contained only cornflakes rather than a variety like muesli. Freash juice was diluted not fresh.
Location: From the hotel to the nearest gate, which is the Marwah gate takes a minimum of 10 minutes. This is good if you want to pray all your salaat here, but I liked to perform regular tawaaf and pray my salaat in the mataaf area. So add another 5-7 minutes. So you are looking at a minimum of 15 minutes from the hotel to mataaf area.
Recommendations: Need to provide a variety of cereals and fresh fruit (not tinned). The hotel management need to provide a free shuttle service to/from Al Haram, like some of the other hotels, i.e. Sheraton Al Kaaba and Elaf Ajyad.
Overall: Good hotel but a little out of the way

Its the is the worst hotel I stayed at in 40 years of life. The hotel is no longer called Grand Makkah and it's not even 1 star, we had cockroaches in our rooms, sewages from toilet and shower, furniture broken. The hotel is in a very bad state and not even considered as 1* as its literally falling apart and room conditions and services are extremely bad, beddings were not changed and rooms were not serviced even once in 10 days, we had to fight for even toilet paper, not 5* service!

the room size is very very small. it is terrible to spent many days in this size room . I never seen this small size in 5* hotel. bed sizes are small as well. we had requested atleast a king or queen bed & they gave us 2 small single beds. very uncomfortable beds specially pillows.
no room cleaning service in 5 days stay.
asked so many times to send some one , everytime a receptionist said okay, inshaAllah but nobody came.
flash in toilet was loose ,water leaking until you stop it with trick.
no tea cups in the room (which is now basic in every hotel)
sugar sachets were like all are expired thats why they were changed into like a long stone in sachets.
very far from Haram specially when you are with kids(not recommended to anyone) . it is atleast half hour walk which is tiring with kids when you are going for every pray.
when you go to the desk, no one listen you.
the problem in shower cube's drainage because water was not going through and cube was got filled and when came out water was clearing slowly slowly.
no towels changed in 5 days though I asked on phone to change.
breakfast is not what we paid for. so many bakery items (croissant, croissant&croissant) no variety related to breakfast.
my kids had not done breakfast any day.
Hotel's outside lobby ,passages everything is massive in size but rooms are really very small.
I will never stay again in this hotel. they gave me headache and nothing .
I paid for 5* hotel & got a 2* hotel services.

Pros:
15 mins or less walk to haram
Pharmacy downstairs
Local resturants outside
Decent room
Decent washroom
Decent breakfast
Cabs available outside
Rain shower head..loved it
Good water pressure for both cold and hot water
Decent net.

Cons:
Combined 2 twins to make a single sort of king bed.
No outside delivery for food allowed.
Western fast-food joints are either 15 riyal cab drive away (1-way) or other side of haram (25 min walk 1-way)
No water barrier between shower area and rest of washroom. We rolled up a towel to reduce water flooding.
Expensive in-house resturants.
No power adapter convertor for north American power plugs. I had to buy 1 for 5 riyal.
.....
All in all I am giving this 3 stars..

Advice:
pleaae Don't pay more than 175 riyals for ride from jeddah airport to makka.
Inside makka all ziarat will cost no more then 180 riyals.apx 3 hours..
At haram gate 94 to enter and gate 88 to exit.
No entry allowed to Kaba area if man is not wearing ah-ram. In normal clothes you will have to use the outside kaba area for tawaf..
Bring small scissor with you for hair cut after saee.
Prepare for lots n lots n lots n lots n lots... of walking as very confusing.
Never let go hand of children, even for 1 second..so busy that you can get separated in less then a second.trust me on this ☺.
Once you leave tawaf area the only way to get back to Kaaba is exit by gate 88 and re-enter via gate 94.
Plastic bags available at the entrance of gate put your slippers inside it and either keep the bag with you (better option) or leave bag by entrance. My slippers were lost even when they were inside the shopper. Next time I used a duffel bag for all our slippers and hung it around my neck.

Good luck and may Allahtala accept all of your worships.

I stayed at this recently opened hotel at the end of December for 4 nights. It was about than minutes walk to Masjid Al Haram. We checked in very early around 8:30 without paying anything extra. Many restaurants, shops nearby within walking distance. Hotel provided free buffet breakfast each morning at 8 that included many dishes, fruits and salads to choose from. Room had full line of toiletries. Room was clean. I would strongly recommend this hotel for people who want a clean hotel in convenient location.

We stayed at the Grand Makkah hotel during Ramadan. The lobby, rooms, bathrooms are all very clean and modern. The staff was simply excellent and very hospitable. Dining arrangements for suhoor were very good. It's a short 10-15 minute walk to Haram ( grand mosque ) and since the hotel is located on the back ( ghaza) side, we were able to get inside the Haram very easily as the entrances from Marwa or King Abdullah extension were always open. This was much easier than trying to get inside from the clock tower side which is extremely crowded and the doors get blocked. There are plenty of shops and small restaurants near the hotel and very easy to get taxis. I would recommend the Grand Makkah hotel to anyone travelling to Makkah, specially during peak season. Special thanks to the wonderful staff, specially Mr. Abdul Ilah Tarabulsi, Mr. Ahmed Tahoun, and all the gentlemen at the front desk specially Natto, Baraa, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rehman. And also Faisal in housekeeping. We look forward to seeing you all again.

The Hotel is 450 m away from Al Haram floor and 750 m to the Holy Ka'aba , the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle bus since it is a 10 minutes walking distance.
