Excellent location. Only a few meters from Haram. However, not everything is rosy. The shower is tiny. I have never seen such a small shower in any hotel, be it Five star. Just guess where the towels are placed. Above the toilet. The slightest wrong move and it falls in the toilet. Breakfast? Good, with a lot of varieties, but can be boring for six consecutive days as it is repetitive. Also, there is often a huge crowd in the restaurant, just after dawn prayer and finding a table can be a problem. Again the restaurant can be quite a distance from the rooms. Check in can be quick or slow, depending on the crowd. But the worst part is that they refuse to come and pick your luggage for check out if you are in a group. They want to talk to the group leader who is not always present since he has clients in different hotels. So we pulled our own suitcases to the exit and it saved us some tips. Nevertheless, the greatest asset in an Umrah/Hajj journey is the location, and once you are happy with it, every problem mentioned above looks small. I would also add that the service staff speak proper English, unlike in some other hotels, and are quite efficient and responsive. They attend to your requests immediately( use of hairdryer, additional bed, blocked shower drain). Thanks to the ladies.

As a Swiss citizen, I am proud of the fact that the Swissotel carries the Swiss name and deserves it. It is a huge hotel with hundreds of rooms, however one gets the reality of it only from street level or at looking at all the buttons in the elevator, as service and hospitality feel very personalized. In this respect, a special mention is reserved for the Laundry service, extremely efficient and the kindness and expertise shown by Mr Abdelmajid deserves particular encomium.
Great kitchen, excellent breakfast and the dinner buffet is totally worth the price, in a very pleasant and clean environment, with steel cutlery, finally! WiFi was good in spite of the great number of guests during a very busy week-end. Plenty of hot water at the 27th floor. The room was clean and housekeeping very kind and patient even when I was unable to tip. At one point the safe stopped working, however within a few minutes a technician came and repaired it.
As a personal preference, I like harder and larger pillows and no different option was available other than an added pillow. Furthermore, I dislike wall to wall carpeting as I always feel it cannot be cleaned properly.
These are the only negative mentions for a very comfortable and well-managed hotel. I plan to return to Mecca and Swissotel Al Maqam will be my first choice!

I selected this hotel after extensive search for different hotels that provides Kaaba view in Markka and it didn't disappoint.
The hotel is excellent, and new. the staff friendly and helpful, smooth check in process.
the location is unique, very near to Haram, 5 minutes to Kaaba.
I selected a room with Kaaba view (which is different than Haram view, be careful while selecting your room)
We had a junior suite for a family of four, and it was more than enough.
the room is very comfortable, the view is breathtaking, the room has microphones to transmit all prayers from Kaaba.
the area around the hotel is commercial area where you can but anything you want full of shops and restaurants.
the one tricky part is that in order to get a taxi you will have to go underground, uber can;t be requested from the hotel, however, you can set your location to (ben Laden mosque) which is near by and call the uber to inform him with your location. but you need to make sure to tell the concierge at the door with the plates number so they let him in.
The breakfast is really excellent and the service is great considering the big number of guest
I completely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this location for 6 nights at the end of December 2019. The hotel is very conveniently located, walking distance 5 minutes to both Kaaba Sharif as well as the Big Tower Mall. You can walk to the mall from within the hotel as well as they are all connected.
We booked quad occupancy room and though the room itself was pretty comfortable but didn't think there was enough space for our 5 bags though.
The free breakfast was awesome and had every imaginable food available that one could think of.
One important thing to remember, there are two swissotel close to each other, Al-Maqam and Kaaba, so be careful which one you are booking.

I stayed at the Swissotel during Dec 2019 for 7 days for Umrah. The hotel was within the Makkah Clock towers complex and was very well located close to the Masjid entrances. (Approx 10mins walk from hotel room to masjid entrance.)

It has 2 exits which is very ideal. one of the entrance/exits is directly linked to the abraj shopping complex. This is convenient when you need to do a bit of shopping or buy food. The other exit leads directly outside on to the streets.

The hotel was very modern and clean. Staff were very friendly (apart from the Floor P8 Security guard, a young guard may be 18 years old - who informed us that we were not allowed to sit on the seats as they were 'only for show') as soon as we said we will enquire with the manager, he disappeared. This was purely to show authority and unnecessarily harass guests.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. It was a continental breakfast with a mixture of fruits, cereal, savouries, bakery and a lot more. Waiters and the Managers were very helpful and served tea or coffee to your table.

We were on the 32nd floor and had Large Double room with the views of the back side of the clock tower (not haram facing) nonetheless the views were great. There is a direct speaker system from the Masjid in the rooms, so every Adhaan and salaat can be heard directly. Ideal for the ladies if they have any issues going to the masjid.

Overall my stay with my family here was pleasant and I would definetly recommend to others to book due to its location and convenience to amenities.

I stayed at Swissotel Al Maqam Makkah hotel on Feb 25, 2022. The hotel is very nice and very close to the Haram. This hotel is in one of the clock towers building and easily accessible from the clock tower lobby as well as from the side road. This is the first time I stayed in Swissotel Al Maqam Makkah hotel, I am a Marriott elite and have previously stayed in Marriott properties in Mecca. Due to the COVID restrictions and not able to enter the Haram easily; I planned to stay in this hotel because it offered Kaaba view rooms. I really appreciate the hotel staff who gave me a full Kaaba view room and made my stay “The Perfect Stay”. The receptionist at the lobby were very courteous and greeted me very well, they let me check in to the room earlier then my scheduled time. I also met with the housekeeping manager is Mohammad Zubair, who took me to their business center to relax, while his staff was preparing my room due to my early arrival. He offered me the drinks and snacks on the House. I really appreciate him going above and beyond; this shows how professional he is and how much he cares about the guests. His attitude and helpfulness are the reason that I will be staying again in Swissotel Al Maqam and not in any other hotel. People like Mohammad Zubair are an asset to the hotel industry and should be rewarded for their hard work and for treating customers with such high respect.

My room was professionally cleaned and sanitized, and all the bathroom amenities were present in the bathroom; all the toiletries and towels were of high quality. The room was on high floor and was very quite. I will recommend travelers to stay in Swissotel Al Maqam while traveling for Umrah and book the Kaaba view room/suite.

The Kaaba view was priceless, and I spent most of my time gazing at the Kaaba from my room.

I am a frequent visitor for Abraj Al Bait but the first time in this hotel and probably the last.
Arrival into the hotel entrance by my car was easy. I didn't find bell boy to assist with my luggage. Gate security refused to let me use one of the trolleys. He didn't have any communication with others to send bell boy. I stayed in my car for 15 minutes for help to arrive to take my luggage and I asked my family to go ahead while I sort my parking issue.
The parking is not guaranteed, availablity to be known on arrival. You have to leave your car , unattended in a prohibited place, go upstairs to reception, check availability, pay your dues and go down again to park your car if traffic authorities did not evacuate or penalise you.
Check in was easy. Room is avarage size, claimed to be 37 m2 but definitely much smaller. Full Kaaba view was a blessing. Plugs were all the British type, though on booking, the public relations said they are European two prongs! My laptop charge about to finish. Bathroom accessories are very poor quality starting tissue papers and including the Shampoo. I was expecting a wow buffet breakfast but they said health authorities restricted the restaurant facility due to Covid19 , though last week I was in the neighbour Raffles with excellent buffet, somebody is lying.
According to menu, we asked for Arabian breakfast. Fresh juices, though in menu, were not available. Caesar juice, was offered instead, not in bottles but served in glass and they forgot to send it with breakfast table. We asked for American coffee, they sent a pot of very light diluted Nescafé. When I called back, they apologized, they ran out of American coffee the day before. They suggested Turkish coffee instead. We asked for Omlets with cheese and spicy green pepper. It seems, it wasn't available as well. The platter that should contain selection of cheeses, had only White cheese and labna, they said I didn't specify the selection which is coming with American breakfast not Arabic.
I went to duty manager, reception to try to get out of the hotel and cancel my second day, he couldn't. Manager will come only after 10 am and he refused to contact him!
I am sure if I would stay that day, I will need another 10 pages to fill.
Never again.

Excellent location . Swift check in via dedicated Accor's desk. My check in was at 12 midday. Guest customer services; Ebtihal , Wejdan , Amr and others were very helpful. Room was on 39th floor with Kaaba panorama view. Courtesy Arabic coffee m dates sweets and fruit basket were sent to the room. Room was spacious; 40 m2 with all required amenities. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was supplemented by all the kits; tooth brush, shaving kit and shampoos.
Breakfast was satisfying to all tastes. However, it was overcrowded with limited staff to cater and clean the tables and make it ready for the waiting guests. Also, queue for the egg bar was very long and slow.
They share the common entrance with Abraj Al Bait , with their reception at P5, with a bit difficult slow lifts to stop at P5 but they have another dedicated entrance and easy lifts towards Ibrahim Al Khalil street.
All requests from housekeeping or room services are immediately dealt with followed by call back call to ensure satisfaction.
Overall experience is excellent. View of Kaaba is definitely much more clear than other hotels.

One of the best hotels overlooking the Haram. The hotel is the newest in Abraj al Biet.
The premier rooms is amazing and you can see the Kabba very good. I enjoyed the upper floors of the hotel with amazing view. The independent entrance makes it way easier to access the Haram because you don't need to use the crowded pubic elevators. Access to supermarkets is very easy. The stuff is very kind and the responses to the requests are very welcomed and quick. I liked the smell in the rooms (from air condition), which other more expensive hotels doesn't provide it. Wifi speed is good. I have no problem working in the room.
We had breakfast in the room, because of the COVID direction by the government. the breakfast quantity is not enough but the breakfast service was great, they bring the breakfast on-time.
Overyall experience is excellent.

I like to think my reviews are for the sake of others to benefit from and not just to make a point, good or bad. Previously I stayed in the Fairmont, which is a great location but lifts tended to get a little busy so thought I would try Swissotel Al Maqam as it gave me the halfboard option. Let's get the negative out of the way very quickly. The hotel is slightly dated and tired i.e. around the bathroom, the furnishings, and decor and that's about it. Now for the good parts.
Access to the Haram: You are here for Worship and the most important thing for me was access to the Haram. Lifts run smoothly and access to the Haram within a short walk was easy.
Housekeeping: These guys worked diligently to ensure we had all we needed in the room. Great service with a smile.
Breakfast and Dinner: Halfboard was perfect. Don't be tempted to survive on outside food as most of it is junk and unhealthy. The hotel caters to all taste buds and again service was amazing.
Reception and check-in: No dramas, great service with a smile, and as an All Accor member I felt very welcomed and offered an upgraded room to the most wonderful view of the Holy Kaaba, so thank you so much as it allowed our younger children to read some salats in the room behind the actual Haram prayer which by default come through the room speaker.
All in all a great hotel that I will be booking again. I gave them a 10 out of 10 because although the hotel is a little tired and dated, they got every right where it matters most, and every hotel ages over time. I look forward to seeing you again God willing.

Hello, the main thing is you know that you have “partial Kaabah view” or “full Kaabah view” sometimes they call it panoramic Kaabah view. So watch out whether on booking websites or their websites. Abd if you want more confirmation you can call them also their call center is helpful. I hope this answers your question

Wa alaikumsalam Warahmatullahi Taala Wabarakatuh... It depends on your booked room. For example, a twin bed will give you 2 beds. However, a triple bed will give you 3 beds and sometimes an extra foam bed under the 3rd bed near the window. On the other hand, a requested extra bed costs 150sr per day. For a child under 12 years, you can request a "Baby Cut" bed for free. May you have a blessed Umrah in shaa Allah... Welcome to Makkah, in advance. 🌹
