We really enjoyed our stay at Hadrian’s Gate hotel. We were a family group comprising grandparents, parents and a 2 year old. Walid and his father, Ismail were extremely kind and thoughtful. The location is terrific and the front and roof terraces have splendid views of the old city. We also enjoyed Walid’s recommendation about the local small cafes.

We booked this hotel on a whim to fill in our last day in Jordan seeing Jaresh. What a fantastic location providing stunning views of the Hadrian's Gate and the expanse of the ruins at Jaresh. We had top floor room with en suite. Walid the owner was fantastic and made such an effort to make us welcome. The room...

Stayed here a few days ago while visiting Jerash with my parents. On the previous visit we stayed in Amman and Irbid but I wanted to save time and didn't think I easily would get hold of a hotel at this standard and price in either of these cities. Since the price was half of the hotels we usually stayed...

I thought staying one night in Jerash to have more time to cover the ruins would be a good idea so i decided to stay in Hadrian's Gate Hotel following the recommendation of Lonely Planet, certainly was a good idea. As stated in Lonely Planet, Walid is one of the best host I've ever had and made my stay excellent....

Walid and Ismayel are among the kindest people I have met. Super helpful about what to see, where to eat and where to go after Jerash. They were very open and chatted about themselves too. The rooms were very nice and the place was very clean.

Walid could not have been a more helpful contact in the booking and organising phase - he was on hand to personally take calls and quickly answered emails. His humble and attentive service is what makes this a brilliant B and B. You could barely be closer to Jerash ruins and can actually see them from the breakfast terrace -...

Without Walid and his father, we would have had a tough time in Jerash - navigating, finding dinner, etc. In addition to being helpful, they were very concerned that we had paid too much for the room we booked due to a misunderstanding with the go-between agent. Because of their insistence, we received $40 back! They also made sure we...

This is just a great place to stay. Walid was just wonderful. He could not have been more helpful or friendly. Our room was superb and spotless. The view from the terrace over to the fantastic Roman gateway was awesome. It is difficult to find anything wrong with the hotel. Walid helped us with places to visit and catching a...

Although we only spent one night here, it was very enjoyable. Walid was easy to work with over email to set up our booking. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. He provided tea that night and also allowed us to set a time for breakfast the next day. After 24-hours of flying, a quick trip...

This hotel is perfectly located. The rooms are quite basic, but other than a shower that was a little chilly and not very powerfull, the rooms are fully functional and clean. The bed we had was huge and the breakfast on the roof terrace on our first day, with views over to the ruins was just lovely. Walid is really...
