Very friendly staff (owner), who served us delicious food for breakfast (shakshuka is really a must). Nothing was a problem and everything (every wish) was fullfiled very fast and good. The tram stop is in front of the hotel. The great Mahane Yehuda Market ia only 2 minutes of walking. Great collection of small model cars inside the cafe.

the pros of this place: there is a tram stop right outside to take you across the city It is super close by to the famous Mahane Yehuda market the staff are friendly cons: it's not really cheap for what you get, the rooms aren't in great condition and for the same price you can stay at a better hotel...

We just spent 4 wonderful days in Jerusalem. The Beit Avital was a quaint hotel in a great location--close to Ben Yehuda Street and the Mehane Yehuda market. Just outside our front door was the light rail which takes you directly to the Old City in 3 stops! Down the street are a lovely bagel shop, bakery and all the...

The hotel was not fancy but it was clean and comfortable. We had a small kitchen which was basically equipped. The owner was very nice and very helpful.we were centrally located and could walk to Mahane Yehuda Market, Old Town Jerusalem and many sites. The tram also stopped outside and we could take that if we did not want to...

I was staying on my own and had paid seven nights in advance. I was not impressed with this even considering that it is a budget hotel. However, It is in a convenient location for reaching the old city, Yad Vashem and other places as it is right by the tram. I spent time in 3 rooms - two of...

We arrived Friday mid day. I had requested a ground floor room with a shower as I have difficulty walking and climbing stairs! We were shown to a room on the 3rd floor! I asked for another room but there was none available until the next morning. We were shown the other room, it was situated a few stairs up...

Room 301 on the first floor was large with two bedrooms to sleep 4. Location is great, right next to the metro rail stop. The train runs from the old city to Yad Vashem which is very convenient. Many restaurants and shops are in walking distance. The owner is very friendly.

Beit Avital is a budget hotel that could use a good make over, at least from the room we had. PROS: o Itzak, the owner was for the most part friendly although there were a couple of days he was on the grumpy side. o The staff is friendly and accommodating. o Breakfasts, while not outstanding were rather good with...

We had a terrible experience at this what could be lovely hotel. The rooms were not that clean, but that was the least of our problem. Before we booked, we were shown a lovely big suite.(there were 5 of us). We were told the room we were to get was to be bigger and better but we needed to stay...

In a convenient position, the appartment suited out needs. Quite a few stairs to climb for the top floor. A basic Israeli breakfast, but adequate. Good value for money. At the time access way not easy due to the construction of the tramway. No extra noise because of good double glazing.

“I would definitely request rooms on one of the top floors (like room 14 or 15) if you are able to do the steps!”

“Avoid Room 2 - see above. Room 9 is OK. Room 1 is big but no window.”

“Room 1 immediately up a few steps from reception, is comfortable, tv, couch, bed and a kitchen with a dining area. Nice clean bathroom. There is another room which they said was for children. It was locked so I could not see inside. Because everything stops on Friday/Saturday there is no noise outside, and I was not aware of any on the Sunday either. Personally, I found this small hotel clean and the bed-linen was freshly laundered. They gave me extra towels and a mat for inside the bath, as I was afraid I might slip while taking a shower. I think booking in advance is cheaper than on the day. Although they take the money for the whole stay immediately after you have accepted the room.”
