We traveled with 4 kids and took 2 rooms with a connecting door. It was wonderful. The hotel is clean, quiet and close to the Old City. The kids loved the hotel and we would love to come back on our next trip to Jerusalem.

We stayed at the Montefiore after a group trip left. Moved from 5 star hotel for cost and location. Center of the action but quiet pedestrian street. Short walk to many restaurants, Machane Yehuda market, King David Street. Staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast simple, nothing like big hotels' sumptuous feasts. Rooms adequate and not as small as expected.... More

Good location with a team at front desk that could not be more helpful including moving us when the neighbours ignored smoking regulations (connecting rooms) and noise was late into the night.Breakfasts are basic Israeli type and nothing too fancy but the key to this hotel is it is past its sell by date and thus with the hefty Jerusalem... Excellent and helpful reception and housekeeping staff. Great, fairly quiet Location for central city stay. An excellent point from which to explore the city and obtain transport to other parts. The new tram/train system is a short walk away and buses are plentiful nearby. Wifi best used in the mornings. Room had plenty of storage, a safe, and a courtesy... More

We appreciated the location walking distance to the Old City and near shopping areas. The front desk is helpful most of the time, though one person failed to give us some crucial information about the Jerusalem marathon and we were trapped with our rental car we could not return on time on a Friday. The breakfasts could be improved a... More

As our cruise had a two night stop in Ashdod, we decided to book into the Montefiore Hotel so that we could be based in Jerusalem and make the most of this amazing and historic city. This hotel appealed as a good value hotel in a central location. Location wise the Montefiore is just at the top of the main... More

Hotel is well situated for those who want to explore Jerusalem without hiring a car: easy walk to the Old City, right next to the Ben-Yehuda pedetrian mall, near the new tram, on a bunch of bus lines. Staff is quite pleasant, they even returned our lost ipod!! Breakfasts were decent and consisted of more than just pickled herring. Rooms... More

Jerusalem hotels are pretty expensive generally; and in my experience so far, you don't get a whole lot for your money. I stayed in the Montefiore for a business trip and found the hotel to be pretty standard for a 3-star. My room was pretty small, but it had a mini fridge, a TV with a good selection of channels,... The hotel is situated in the center. in a relatively short walking distance from Mamila center, the old city and Mahne Yehuda market. The staff of the hotel was friendly and informative. The room was clean and not that small, especially while taking into account the relatively low cost of the hotel. The breakfast could be better (in comparison to... More
