Rooms OK. Very small bathrooms. Clean and tidy. Very good location. Small refrigerator in the room. Very good breakfast from 7.00 a.m. Location: 2 km from Yehuda market. 500 meters from old town. Very short beds not for high people. 360 NIS 1 way fix taxi price from and to the airport.

I love this hotel & stay every time I'm in Jerusalem. The rooms are small but always clean. Great shower. I love the staff and breakfast is delicious. Coffee/espresso is as good as the best coffee houses!

Hotel is very conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from Jaffa gate. Room is of decent size, clean and with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is to a standard degree with focus on middle eastern savoury food.

That the Eldan is diagonally opposite the up-upscale King David Hotel tells it all. This charming, quiet and clean hotel is just up the gently incline from the Mamila Centre. Pass hallway through the Centre, climb the short flight on the left, and you're opposite the Old City. Nearby to the right is the Jaffa Gate.OR, at the bottom of...

Dear darbyoshaughnessy, Thank you for your great review! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again soon. The building across the street is the Jerusalem YMCA, and it's a fitness center, a restaurant and a kinder garden. The view from it's tower is beautiful – maybe on your next visit… Best regards,...

I attended a conference in Jerusalem in June, 2016, and the conference location--the YMCA across the street--was completely booked. A colleague had recommended this hotel because she had encountered the same problem with booking the Y and consequently booked a room at the Eldan. I was thrilled with the accommodations--comfortable room, sumptuous complimentary breakfast and afternoon snack, hospitable staff, and...

I thought the Eldan was perfect. The location was excellent. The rooms were nice and clean. Not a ton of room but enough for two. The breakfast was not the huge Israeli breakfast that some are expecting but it was lovely and plentiful. I will come back the next time I visit Jerusalem.

Superior location (near the Old City, the Mamilla Mall, and across the street from the King David Hotel). The Eldan offers an excellent Shabbat dinner and breakfasts. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We found the bathroom to be very small and uncomfortable.

Location is great to explore the Old town, just walking distance to the gates. Also it helped that we could park a rented car and forget about it while in Jerusalem. Breakfast was just ok, not as good as we had in other places travelling in Israel. Hotel is pretty old, but location is what we needed, so we will...
