My hotel of choice in Jerusalem is the St. George's Cathedral Guest House, which is a short walk from Damascus Gate into the Walled City. It's quiet, comfortable, serves a good (not great) breakfast, and has plenty of places to sit (including a garden) when you're not out touring. It's also far less expensive than other hotels in the area....

If you want comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, great location and fabulous grounds this is where you want to be. The rooms are basic but very clean and roomy with a good-sized bathroom. This is part of a Cathedral and church complex and the building is beautiful with arched windows and doorways plus a lovely garden that is the perfect place...

This is not a luxury hotel, but I would return here without hesitation because of the location and staff. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Our group enjoyed socializing over drinks before dinner in the bar area. And the same-day laundry service ($10 for a bag) was so helpful. Perfect location for...

I stayed here at the tail end of a week backpacking around the West Bank. I found it to be a calm place to relax, and the Anglican cathedral on-site was incredibly beautiful. A short walk from the Damascus Gate and the old city, it is in a perfect location, set just away from the narrow hustling streets of Old...

It isn't cheap and i probably could have got a better room at a chain for the same price, but I really enjoyed staying in the cloisters, and appreciated excellent service. The location is terrific- an easy walk to the old city, bus stations etc, and into west Jerusalem. I'd definitely come back

Location is not so far the Old city. The place gives you a special feeling as it is attached to the Cathedral. Rooms are cosy and service is friendly. During my 7 day stay I have seen a lot of pilgrims. Breakfast is simple but you will find most of the things so it is enough. The garden restaurant is...

The St. George Guest House provided me a great respite from my daily exploratory trips to the Old City via the Damascus Gate less than a 15 minute walk away. Before I took off, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The route to the Old City takes you past the Garden Tomb which I visited each morning just as it opened...

The building and outside courtyard are stunning, a very romantic setting. The rooms are good and comfortable, however a little dark and plain, so do keep this in mind if you are looking for a luxury stay. My room also was a little noisy, so you may want to ask for a quiet room. They are fairly clean though and...

Nice guest house, close to the Damascus Door, a few minutes walk to Jerusalem Old Town. Good breakfast, comfortable beds. More of a hotel than a guest house, right next door to the St.George Cathedral. Ask for a room inside, avoid the ones facing the parking lot.
