A Little House in Bakah - where being small is a big advantage. It has 34 comfortable rooms, is fully air-conditioned and serves a full breakfast. It is a unique, Ottoman style renovated mansion, with arches and columns and beautifully arched windows. The house is surrounded by a large garden that has many inviting corners under beautiful old pine trees. We have free wireless internet access. Little House in Bakah gives you a great opportunity to experience Jerusalem at its best. Free parking can be found on the streets surronding the Hotel.

good hotel (although the room behind the reception is quite noisy...but we were moved); nice and helpfull people. The area is very (too?) quiet...be prepared for a little walk to find choices in restaurants.

Nice, clean and friendly hotel outside the old city in the quarter of Geula, approx. 20 minutes walk to the Jaffa gate and the David's citadel. Restaurants and shops in the nearby German quarter. Buses to the City center around the corner on the Hebron Road and the Bethlehem Road.

Too cold in winter time for comfort. Breakfast was not a problem but our evening Shabbat meal could not be properly enjoyed and we were so uncomfortable eating in our coats. The staff did bring in two heater/blowers, but unless you sitting directly in front of them, they did nothing.

Response from Little house ho... I, General Manager at A Little House in Bakah
Responded 18 Feb 2018
Dear Brenda, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We offer our guests who observe the Shabbat a free use of our dining room to eat their meals. I apologize that the heating in the dining room was not sufficient in your case. I will check how this happened as we have A/C there and as you mentioned we have extra heaters . I am sorry that this has led you to give us a low score as it seems you enjoyed many other aspects of our hotel. I hope to see you again and promise to give you a warmer experience :) Please contact me directly if you wish to come again. Respectfully, Avi Haim \ Manager

I had a really nice experience at the Little House in Bakah. The room was small but clean and comfy. The people at the front desk were so nice and helpful. I would be happy to stay there again during my next trip to Jerusalem. I highly recommend the place.

This gem of a hotel is jsut what the budget minded traveler needs. Very comfortable room, very clean, great beds, DELICIOUS breakfast (all you can eat), great shower, friendly staff, set off on very quiet street in a very very special part of town- very close to many many sites (almost too many to mention). And if you have rented a car- you can find free on street parking- an added bonus. Very reasonably priced.

We stayed 3 nights recently. Chose LH because close to our son's apartment. Very nice staff. Room was not fancy but very functional. Was during a cold snap and room heating was effective. Breakfast was excellent including Israeli staples.

Clean, simple rooms in historic mansion situated in authentic Jerusalem neighborhood. I wanted to stay away from touristy areas with expensive hotels and this fit the bill exactly. Not fancy but super friendly staff, easy parking, comfortable beds and delicious breakfasts. Would definitely return.

This was a great value for the money. The room was nice, if nothing fancy. But I know the hotel has nicer rooms than mine. The location was terrific. Really terrific-- close to everywhere I wanted to be.
